Ordered a new washing machine and found out that the shut off values needed replacement. Rather than fumble around like Tim the Tool Man Talor, I decided to hire a company that knew what they were doing. I contacted Response Crew using Yelp messenger and they replied next morning (Monday). With the information and photos I provided they were able to give me an estimate as to how long and how much the repair would cost. Their offer is $175 for the first 2 hrs so I was expecting to pay $300 or close to it, but while doing the repairs, Angel discovered that removal and replacement of the old valves is all that was needed. Sure I could have done this myself and saved quite a bit of money, but again, I'm no repair man and am satisfied with the work he did. My husband is a stunning man - but is not handy at all! - So, Response Crew is my ' go to " for everything from changing lightbulbs to to tightening loose door handles . I love this company and what they stand for. I run a non profit and this company came out and gave back to the community in a big way. Of course when I needed to hire someone for a job, I thought of them first and I'm so glad I did! What a great experience! I needed a small roof leak repaired and also a drywall repair. They sent a gentleman out who provided me with a bid. I then hired them for the job and met Alan. Hipskind. He was running a few minutes late but he called to let me know. Great communication! It was was 15 minutes so no problem. When he arrived we walked through everything and then he went to work. I was worried about him as it was 105 degrees out and he was going to be on the roof. Their handyman came in to fix a broken closet railing. However, the job took only 10 minutes The handyman was nice enough to tell us that we pay for 2 hours ($99 per hour). He asked if he can fix other items to use the remaining time. We then asked him to fix a broken shatter, a backyard screen, a window vinyl frame, to replace light bulbs in the garage (he even put in 3 LED lights for free). But to list down few issues with this company, below can be few of my top picks 1. Tardiness: When you want people to show up when they are supposed to, absolutely this is not the company. 2. Communication: There is always some differences with what is communicated to main office and there technicians. 3. Lack of responsibility: When you choose to convey your observations to the company they can blatantly say they will not like to serve you because of unforeseen occurrences. It is with great joy and a restored faith in humanity that I update this review and go from 3 stars to 5 stars. Very quickly after the my review was online, I received a call from the owner and a message saying it "was a mix up" and to please call the office and talk to Jennifer or himself, he wanted to make it right. I don't typically keep my phone on so I missed it. He also sent me an email offering to do the threshold for no charge. I thought that was a generous offer, and decided to take him up on it. I also received a notice they had immediately refunded $311. I called the office and spoke to Jennifer. She was so genuinely kind and apologetic, saying the mix up was her fault and it kept her up all night. She mistakenly sent the wrong crew to my job and said she didn't know how it happened, she's always very careful. I believed her and felt bad for her. We set up the day for the threshold repair. That was today. Dennis arrived on time, professional, a positive attitude and ready to work. They had scheduled him for late afternoon and the job took until after dark. Dennis is a first-class carpenter and did a spectacular job and pointed out why it had become an issue in the first place. I had Handymaniacs out a few months before to try to get it fixed and he said, "It's not hurting anything, why bother?" Well, that was not true. It was potential water damage to the master closet. Dennis even had to go to Home Depot and fight the mob and empty shelves to get supplies, and stayed positive. Even my dog didn't bark at him and that NEVER happens! It was all too wet to paint but he left a note telling me to contact Jennifer to set up a time for him to come back and paint. He closed up the garage and left everything better than he found it. I would definitely recommend this company. They are honest, they stand behind their work and when something goes wrong, they go the extra mile to make it right. We started out with nothing more than human error, it happens, but humans can be wonderful as well. My how a perspective can change dramatically when we work together to make it right. Terrible service, no communication and overall unprofessional. Hired this company to assist one of our customers in replacing a door. Day 1 (Feb 18). Their tech got a minor "razor cut" and left the job site. No install. Day 3 (Feb 20). Their tech goes back out with a defective door and is trying to convince our customer to install said door. Our customer refused the damaged door (rightfully so). Tech leaves. We are not informed of anything until our customer calls in to complain that her door has yet to be replaced. Once we follow up with Jennifer, the so called operations manager, we are informed of the situation and are told they are working on "sourcing the door". Day 5 (Feb 22). We receive an email from Jennifer stating that they are stepping aside from the request and cannot complete the job. THEY REFUSED TO COMPLETE THE JOB. Only to turn around and tell our customer we refused to work with them and let them finish the job. They were hired to remedy a situation and made it 10x worse. We have all emails and proof of all of the occurrences with this company. Would never recommend to anyone looking for anything professional to say the least. read more

What a great find the Response Crew is for us! And an even greater find was our handyman, Kelly! Kelly is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and great at communicating in person and via text. Kelly replaced an exterior utility door for us--a pretty complicated task. Kelly checked out/measured the old door, searched diligently to find an EXACT replacement, got the door promptly ordered, and kept us in the loop as to its arrival. Once the door arrived, Kelly removed the old door and all the rotted wood around, installed the new door and frame, and painted the new door. Response crew was fairly easy to work with. The repairman arrived on time and eventually made the necessary repair. I removed a couple stars because initially I thought it was convenient to send photos of the job and receive a quote via email. But, when the repairman arrived, he did not have the proper materials to complete the job. He left and went to Home Depot. I was not aware of this, but since they charge by the hour, you are being charged for their trip to Home Depot to get supplies. Again, I am satisfied with the work completed, but I would not use them again. This could be resolved by doing an in person estimate of the job, this way, the repairman knows exactly what supplies are needed and can arrive ready to work, not running up the charges with a trip to purchase supplies. read more
