The staff is absolutely amazing. I am from 1100 miles away and just had another retailer tell me…read morethat they could not get me the pants I needed for the groomsmen in my wedding. In searching for someone who sold Tommy Hilfiger suits and could help, Milton's came up as one of the results. Taking a chance, I called the Chestnut Hill location and talked to Joe, who was filling in at the location. Let me tell you, for someone who is in full panic mode to talk to someone as knowledgeable, calm and willing to help was a God send. Joe took the time to listen to what I needed. He helped me with finding something that would work for the groomsmen and went above and beyond to make getting them shipped to me easy. I also spoke with Tim, who was friendly, knowledgeable and a tremendous help. Today, retailers of any size seem to be so focused on the amount of the sale to increase profit, they forget about what the customer actual needs. Milton's is not like that in my experience. They helped a guy from over 1100 miles away that is only going to spend $300 dollars like he was the most important customer. Thank you Joe and Tim, I appreciate more than you.

I went to Braintree Milton's for a suit today, not knowing any of my own measurements. I felt very well-informed on not only what I needed, but also on any promotions which were presently being offered at the store. I was very happy with the selection of clothing available, and with the ease & quickness of getting fitted, and overall I had a great experience. Thanks!

Terrible customer service by management to be exact…read more Whilst purchasing some fragrances, which were all in cases, so there was no way to sample any of them my simple ask was what was the return policy? She told me there was no return policy. I felt that was impossible. I then ask her for the number so I can call corporate myself. She told me she didn't have a number. There was no corporate number? How could you work for a company and not have a corporate number? Management then stated that if I wanted to smell the items I were purchasing I should go to the nearby Macy's and figure it out. I had to remind her that almost 90% of the fragrances they had in stock where either no name brands or discontinued products. So that was not a solution. It's not like I was spending two dollars. The items I purchased total amount of $70-$80. Here I am now stuck with fragrances that I do not like, but because there's no return policy, I am out of the funds with something that I may not use. Never again would I put foot in the store? Terrible customer service coming from management

I can't say I would be in a rush to go back here anytime soon. It's a combination of KMART and…read moreChristmas Tree Shops. Some of the products seem like KMART, but then it seems like they have some name brands. There was a bunch of stuff, but not fully stock in some stuff. They have a bunch of kids hats and gloves for girls, but then nothing for boys. So, basically it was inconsistent.

Clothes aren't nice enough to give snooty boutique treatment…read more I brought my 14 year old daughter into this empty establishment full of cubicle clothes, in hopes of being fitted for her 8th grade semi-formal. She prefers to dress like a male, and clearly this bothered the staff there, as they chose to appear too busy folding clothes to make the store any money. The older woman with the accent asked if she could help us, and I said "we're looking for slacks, a shirt and vest for my daughter for her prom". She asked what size slacks, I responded 28", and she informed me that they start at size 30". I followed up with, "what about a shirt and vest?", she replied "for who?, I said "for me", she said, "what size are you?", and I repeated to her that we were there to shop my daughter, who was standing next to me feeling awkward enough as is. The sad thing is, we were at the Boston Pride parade the day before, and my daughter felt so good about herself, then the following day, this clothes folder takes it upon herself to make the conversation as difficult as possible to not assist my child. After we looked through the call-center-special clothes for another minute or so, we realize that we were definitely in the wrong place for what we were in search of. A man with a measuring tape comes out from the back, speaks to the woman that couldn't assist us, then asks what he can help us with. I told HIM, "I'm looking to have my daughter dressed for the prom" he responds with a laugh, "they still have those?".. good one, Don Wrinkles.. I went to the store because for some reason I thought "Jos A" was Joseph Abboud, who is a classy man that goes to the same gym as me. I asked the comedian with the frumpy clothes if Joseph Abboud owned the store and he said they didn't, so we left, as we were clearly in the wrong place. We went to Macy's across the street, found my daughter a nice black Calvin Klein suit and she is ready for her semi! I will never return to Jos A Bank again, and am tempted to go beyond this post in spreading the word of how they judged/treated my child.
