I rented a tux from here to attend a friends' wedding. When I was there, people were telling me I looked like James Bond! Looking good is part of the mission... The tux and the shoes were also very comfortable. When the dance floor at my friends' wedding was opened, I started dancing and grooving with abandon! The tux performed its duties marvelously. The shoes, though, are the real MVP! Tearing up the dance floor did not tear up my feet! (especially that area between the heel and ankle) The service here was polite and efficient in helping me pick out the tux, get measured, then at pick up getting everything adjusted. They were also flexible about me moving the drop-off date one day later. Drop off was painless also. Tuxedo Time doesn't appear to be the cheapest. All in, the rental cost me $235. However, money isn't everything, and a tux rental isn't a daily, monthly, or even yearly event. Looking good, being comfortable, and having an overall pleasant experience means I won't hesitate to rent from here again should the need arise. read more

I rented a tux here for my son's wedding and things went well until I found a used hanky in the back pocket. Well I called to let them know and I can say they handled it fantastically, they didn't doubt me at all and they bent over backwards to make things right. Just recently my son graduated from 8th Grade. I was given last minute notice that an In-Person Ceremony would take place prior to the Virtual Graduation. I was in need of a tux and FAST! Upon arrival I informed Neil that this was our 1st time in a tux fitting session. He was very informative. Answered every question I had. Fitting and everything went super well initially. They told me call if I lost 10 lbs, since I was out of the state and when I called, and asked a simple question, the old lady on the phone was super rude and giving the most attitude I have ever received. Everyone else was great. The lady on the phone should never pick up again, really discouraged and here I am spending 100s of dollars on a tux and I can't even get a simple answer for a question. read more

I called last week to inquire about tux rentals for my wedding the end of June. The woman I spoke with on the phone was initially helpful and answered my questions, I then had asked to make an appointment to come in. When she asked how many people would need tuxes, I had mentioned my fiancé's name and that he would need a tux as well. Right after that sentence she said there was a customer in the store and she would take my name and number down and call me back. Well now we're into the following week and I haven't received a phone call back from her. Hopefully she just misplaced my number, but it seems a little coincidental the conversation ended when she found out it was a gay wedding, and even more so that she didn't return my call as promised. read more

I called this week prior to business hours (unaware that they open at 10am) to make a few adjustments. Surprisingly I was greeted by the owner via his cell phone. Had the best experience at Tuxedo Time in Braintree, 2 days In a row! My son needed a formal shirt for his Prom. He's not a big guy and most places I called brushed us off. Neil at Tuxedo Time was extremely pleasant on the phone, actually took the time to go see if he had the size needed and he did!!!! We raced over and got the shirt. Day two I went to iron it, and put a big hole in it with the too hot iron. I called Neil In a panic and was thrilled he had another shirt for my son. I arrived to pick it up and it was freshly pressed and hanging when I arrived! Neil is so pleasant and he certainly saved me from having to explain a giant hole in my sons shirt! We had a great experience with Tuxedo Time for our wedding this past weekend. We had a lot of tuxes- between groomsmen, fathers and ring bearers we needed 16 tuxes to fit everything from a six year old boy to a 6' 4" man. We had previously looked at Tux places, some of the chains, where we weren't even able to see the tux we would be getting, nevermind try one on. They pointed to a mannequin and said "it would look like that" and showed us a swatch of the color bowtie. We hauled our butts out of there and found Tuxedo Time on Yelp. They showed us the actual tux we would have, then brought it up in my now husband's size so that he could see how he would actually look on the wedding day. When he went to pick it up before the big day, they had him try it on, then when it was a bit big in a few areas, they gave him a new size, as they keep everything on site. At all point everyone there was friendly and helpful. Definitely give this local business a try for your wedding and avoid the chains! read more

Great Stuff from tuxedo time. My son went in to pick his tux up the day before his prom. Obviously wasn't paying attention when trying it on. When he got home I could tell it was a few sizes too big. Avoid this place unless you enjoy wasting your time. Went in to buy a tux. Clueless employee was totally baffled that someone would want to buy a tux in a store that, well, sells tuxedos. Go figure. She said she had to call her boss to find out how much they cost. WTF?!?! She came back after a few mins to report that Boss Man said it would cost $90-400, if they had one in my size. Double WTF?!?! Only plausible explanation is that I inadvertently stumbled into what is really a front for a Columbian cocaine operation. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this Tuxedo rental business. After going to several places my fiance and I finally found the exact light grey tux we had been looking high and low for! Not only did they have exactly what we were looking for but the girl who helped us was so professional and nice! She really cared about what we were picking out, gave us all sorts of options. My son and I were looking for a tuxedo for him to wear to a performance of his choral society, and since he hadn't worn a tuxedo for many years, we were a little bit lost. We called some places and visited others, and it was always the same; renting was expensive, and buying was prohibitive. My son would be needing a tux a few times per year, and it made sense to buy one, but frankly it was just too much money. Macy's was having a big tuxedo sale, but the prices we saw there were just crazy. My husband told me that we had a tuxedo place right on Washington st. and my son and I went there on the spur of the moment. We were welcomed by a wonderful lady, and we poured out our problems. She listened, smiled and took the situation in hand. She measured my son, and then she started to pull jackets, trousers, and everything else that went with it. Everything fit beautifully, and we asked the price which was pretty fair. She told us to pick up the tuxedo a couple of days later after she had it cleaned and pressed, and she handed me the bill. To my amazement, the bill said 'Purchase'. I thought that she had made a mistake and told her so, but she said that we were buying the tuxedo; I paid it quick before she changed her mind. With a smile she welcomed us back two days later, and we received the beautiful tuxedo, a cummerbund, a bow tie and everything else we needed. On the following day we realized that we needed a pair of white suspenders, and to my surprise the lovely lady with the beautiful smile had it ready on the register. I asked how she knew and she just smiled her now familiar smile and handed it to me. And the price was much less than if I had bought it in a regular store. If you need a tuxedo or any other formal wear, don't bother going anywhere else, they have everything you need, they are professional, helpful and sympathetic and the price is right! read more
