Susannah Walker Interiors did a great job with our Whistler cabin. The cabin was built over 20…read moreyears ago and felt old and in need of a refresh. The new design she created has a modern-yet-comfortable feel, that balances perfectly with the outdoorsy background of Whistler. What I was most impressed with was the minor structural changes she made that COMPLETELY opened up the space. Our cabin used to feel stuffy and dark and now it feels open and has a really great flow. She lowered the bar to counter height (better for entertaining), added storage below the stairs (way less clutter in the cabin now), and she took out some ceiling beams to expose the high ceilings. She also came up with this idea of a super functional built in bunk bed (queen on bottom-single on top) that allows for my growing family to fit in the 3 bedroom cabin. The project was complete in time for the ski season (as expected) and the final product is the perfect combination of form and function.

When the project was over a month late I found out that she had not even confirmed anything with the millworker and when I expressed my concern she cut off all communication and will not give me my plans, order copies and information back. We did not make any changes to the design or scope of work during this project. I do not recommend her!!!

The thing that makes BoConcept different from just anywhere else is the service that we get (from Paul) and we also like that everything just works together. The look is clean and refined and the quality is quite good as well. We have had a few issues here and there but Paul and BoConcept (and Rick) have been there to help us take care of anything that needed fixing. It's also nice to have an actual designer come to your house to help you see if things will work etc. They will even come during the installation to ensure that things are aligned correctly etc. I would definitely recommend them (and Paul) to friends, and I have.

Many places offer similar type lamps but are either clunky, unoriginal or will make your wallet over $1,000 lighter. We found the one we've looking for at BoConcept. It's a furniture franchise originated in Denmark. The store in Vancouver is on the 2nd level of the building shared by Inspirations on the ground level of the building. It was slight confusing on our first visit because they are 2 separate businesses which share a common centre in-store stairwell. Service was good. Since the only one available was a floor model, we were offered a reasonable 10% discount. A good alternative to sleeker and more stylish Scandinavian furniture in town than the mothership from Sweden.
