Is it possible to find a 5-star contractor? Well, I honestly thought that the answer was NO until I…read moremet Steve. I am a picky person with background in Architecture and Design. A lazy rushed contractor doesn't work for me. After so many frustrations and searches for the perfect contractor, I randomly found Steve. Basically when I searched for a contractor to renovate my two nasty bathrooms and fix all the leaking problems that had happened for the past 18 years, I came up with a short list of contractors. I had met a few of them, but when I met Steve for a quick chat, I felt that was the guy! He seemed to be so proactive, technical, intelligent and clever. He was the person I wanted: I guy with good eyes for great finishing, respecting what the client wants and, the main thing, focusing on solving real problems and not just talking about pretty light fixtures. And I gladly hired him right away! My 2 bathrooms look so perfect! All the small details where carefully done and in the way I wanted. Always sharing the possible problems and solutions. Steve not only fixed all the plumbing, electrical and structural problems, but upgraded everything for high end quality service and products. And more... he did not only beautifully renovate our bathroom, but figured out problems in my building that existed for at least the last 10 years! Steve became popular among my neighbors and everybody loved his presence in the building. Not only because he is a such a good professional guy that helped the neighbors, but because he was nice, pleasant and honest person that everybody was glad to see around. Yes, that's Steve. Some even said Steve felt like part of the family! He is also a very clean contractor. The reno happened while we were living in the condo. As he understands well how physics works, he knew exactly what to do to not spread dust to the rest of the areas like living room and bedrooms. Yup. Sounds impossible, but that happened. When he was producing dust, he always vacuumed everything at the end of the day. Steve had free access to my condo for several months and I fully trusted in him. He respected the time to come to our place and leave. Finally, the reno took longer than I thought, but at the end of the day, it is totally understandable when he works by himself always making sure that he is doing his best and also making sure I was happy with his work. I'd would rather going through a long reno with someone that I fully trust than 10 strangers doing whatever work to finish everything in a month, so 10 years later you would have to deal with problems. That is not an option for me at all. Not even if I was going to sell my place right after. I wish everybody thought the same way, but, I know, if they did, it would be hard to find a second Steve in this city. :) That's all. Steve, thanks for everything!

Buyer beware. If you do any level of new construction and/or renovation and timely and accurate…read moreordering and delivery is important to you, then stay far away from Prime Cabinets. From the designers to the ownership, everyone is a "yes man". The concept of customer service is lost on these folks; they simply do not care. Everything will look perfect until you pay that deposit and then you'll start to see the red flags. One thing will be written and/or recorded and you will receive something entirely different. The "designers" simply don't pay attention and you find out your order is wrong after it has been delivered, despite numerous confirmations beforehand. It is extremely challenging to work with people that say one thing and then ultimately do something else. The worst part is that as the customer, you are blamed. In my situation, I had visual proof (paper trail) showing that the designer made a major measurement error, even after final confirmations and after I was told all requests have been correctly submitted, and this was brushed off entirely. This is a clueless company. Customer service aside, the big issue is all of their cabinets are made overseas in China. This has nothing to do with quality but has everything to do with timing. From the beginning, you'll be waiting at least 12 weeks for initial delivery; everything is sent via boat in containers. If something goes wrong, you'll wait another 12 weeks (15 weeks in my case) during which time I was given continual lies about the order status: "it will be two weeks", "it will be two more weeks", "it has arrived", "it will still be four more weeks". Yes, you are reading this correctly. After being told "it has arrived", it was another four weeks until it actually arrived. You have to ask yourself: why would they lie about this? Or do they simply have zero control and insight into their own supply chain? I do not know which is worse. If you've worked with this type of cabinet company before, you'll know that something **always** goes wrong due to their incompetence. Had I known how clueless these people are, I would have stayed far away. This is what happens when you focus on price before quality. A lesson learned for me that I hope those reading this do not repeat. If you want speed, accuracy and quality, stick with a local company that manufactures locally. Cost may be marginally higher but you'll have a better outcome with more timely results. The response times will be faster and you'll get your order much quicker. Within one kilometer of this company are 10 other cabinet companies to choose from. Seriously shop around before even remotely considering these guys. Trust me, this will save you a lot of time and likely money too overall, with less headache. The old saying really is true: "you get what you pay for". Buyer beware.
