They have designers on staff (instead of sales people) and that made picking out material easy. They don't have cheap tile but they are a wholesaler so the price was good for the quality. I want to give a shout out to this amazing company, KITCHEN MAKEOVERS. After getting 4 quotes, and…read more4 different scopes of work (what they would and wouldn't do,) I decided on this company and for a number of reasons: Tanya came with a tonne of knowledge - from colour to paint to hardware, cost, and more. She was able to offer suggestions as to what would look good, and what would be economical for me. She was extremely thorough. As well, she showed genuine interest in making my kitchen beautiful. Another contractor (I'll call him Joe) told me to figure it all out myself, which I did not find helpful. He said he was not a decorator. Everything Tanya put together for me, verbally, or otherwise, was very detailed and easily understood. I had to ask Joe a few times to clarify what he meant, which made me uncomfortable. At that point, I felt suspicious because it was beginning to appear that he was only going to put doors on and anything after that was extra and would take me well beyond the original quote. (See below) There were no hidden fees or nickel-and-diming during this transaction. She was kind enough to throw in a few extras as well - something the other 3 companies would not do. In fact, Joe was not going to paint the frames of the cabinets, saying that once the new doors went on, you would not notice the old cruddy parts of the cabinets. Not so as they were very old and discoloured. As well, Joe did not plan to do anything with the panel at the end of the row of cabinets. He told me it would cost me $150 to return to do those measurements, and $350 to put a new standard cabinet-sized panel on the end. The staff at Kitchen Makeovers is stellar. They are a young group of people, all with an extraordinary work ethic. They are: Tanya, Nadia1, Scarlet, Hayley, Jonah, and Nadia2. I couldn't have asked for better. Even with the amount of staff attending, there was never any breakdown in communication. They all had a specific job to do and they did it. The staff were always on time, in spite of having to drive from the Valley. They were all very pleasant, helpful, and did meticulous work. Their clean-up was impeccable. In closing, I will say that out of all the contractors I've had in my place in the last 2 years, (and there were many,) this company, by far, out-performed all of them, in terms of honesty, efficiency, price, customer care, and integrity. If you plan on updating your kitchen, scroll no further. Kitchen Makeovers is the only way to go. Call Tanya today! You will not be disappointed! 604-330-8735 info@kitchenmakeovers.ca.

I was highly impressed with the customer service, skills and technique of this company. Yes, due to unforeseeable circumstances there was a delay in some of the cabinets arriving as they were from overseas. However, I think the communication through this transition was amazing. Buyer beware. If you do any level of new construction and/or renovation and timely and accurate…read moreordering and delivery is important to you, then stay far away from Prime Cabinets. From the designers to the ownership, everyone is a "yes man". The concept of customer service is lost on these folks; they simply do not care. Everything will look perfect until you pay that deposit and then you'll start to see the red flags. One thing will be written and/or recorded and you will receive something entirely different. The "designers" simply don't pay attention and you find out your order is wrong after it has been delivered, despite numerous confirmations beforehand. It is extremely challenging to work with people that say one thing and then ultimately do something else. The worst part is that as the customer, you are blamed. In my situation, I had visual proof (paper trail) showing that the designer made a major measurement error, even after final confirmations and after I was told all requests have been correctly submitted, and this was brushed off entirely. This is a clueless company. Customer service aside, the big issue is all of their cabinets are made overseas in China. This has nothing to do with quality but has everything to do with timing. From the beginning, you'll be waiting at least 12 weeks for initial delivery; everything is sent via boat in containers. If something goes wrong, you'll wait another 12 weeks (15 weeks in my case) during which time I was given continual lies about the order status: "it will be two weeks", "it will be two more weeks", "it has arrived", "it will still be four more weeks". Yes, you are reading this correctly. After being told "it has arrived", it was another four weeks until it actually arrived. You have to ask yourself: why would they lie about this? Or do they simply have zero control and insight into their own supply chain? I do not know which is worse. If you've worked with this type of cabinet company before, you'll know that something **always** goes wrong due to their incompetence. Had I known how clueless these people are, I would have stayed far away. This is what happens when you focus on price before quality. A lesson learned for me that I hope those reading this do not repeat. If you want speed, accuracy and quality, stick with a local company that manufactures locally. Cost may be marginally higher but you'll have a better outcome with more timely results. The response times will be faster and you'll get your order much quicker. Within one kilometer of this company are 10 other cabinet companies to choose from. Seriously shop around before even remotely considering these guys. Trust me, this will save you a lot of time and likely money too overall, with less headache. The old saying really is true: "you get what you pay for". Buyer beware.
