Concentrating on my living room, dining room and bedroom, they have transformed my small space with all it's quirky angles, limited lighting and family heirlooms into a spacious yet cozy, cohesive, calm and welcoming place. I am amazed at how much more spacious my living area is now, including a second separate sleeping space, all in my one-bedroom condo. I approached this project with significant trepidation and wariness. Danny and Sandra spent time to get to know me and to find out what was important to me. Danny and his team did not rest until everything was completed and I was satisfied. I trust the Happy Home Design team and I would not consider any other company to bring my next renovation project to fruition. I would recommend Happy Home Design for any small or large redesign home project you can imagine. Thank you, Happy Home Design Team. You are the best. Cathy E.

They did this small job for us and saved us a bunch of money by finding a creative solution. Not only do they do the right job the first time, they are always willing to take the time to explain options and adjust things if we have tweeks in our plans. Their customer service is exceptional.

We had trouble picking tiles for the bathroom, but felt really comfortable with our choice after speaking with their designer. We've had absolutely no problem with our flooring since it's been installed and our space looks awesome. Looks exactly how we imagined. Would highly recommend! Definitely worth getting a project manager instead of trying to do all this ourselves.

I first met Lyla when we were renovating our kitchen; the contractor steered us to her. Thank goodness! She helped us find the right flooring, counter tops, tiles, colours and furniture. We have a truly stunning kitchen and I credit Lyla with that. Our next project was renovating our two upstairs bathrooms. Then she helped me update our family room and then the downstairs powder room. She has helped me with projects ranging from $15,000 to well over $100,000. Lyla started by asking lots of questions to understand what we like and do not like to get a feel as to our vision. She provided us with a variety of options or directed us to various stores to look over products (i.e. fireplaces). She is very knowledgable about construction and knows whether something is "doable" or not. She knows and works with top quality suppliers, such as upholsterers, furniture manufacturers, tilers, painters etc. Every contractor has been superb. Lyla is very current with new trends and designs yet made sure anything she put forth would suit us. I trust Lyla's advice and never once have I been disappointed with any aspect of a renovation. I would highly recommend Lyla for any interior design project. She is currently helping me with the design of a new kitchen for a new condo and will be helping me furnish our new home. Lyla is very professional, knowledgeable, pleasant to work with, a delight, actually. I have referred others to her and would do so again.

TL;DR version - True Colours Design Group provided INCORRECT measurements that cost a customer a…read moregreat deal of money (they were relied upon to order parts to measure for a kitchen renovation). When contacted about this this, True Colours Design Group SAID IT WAS THE CUSTOMER'S MISTAKE for not double checking information provided by True Colours' "professional" services. Detailed version: We hired True Colours Design Group to plan a kitchen redesign - using IKEA kitchen planning tools. True Colours was supposed to provide measurement details and help figure out the most functional kitchen design. After taking our money for this service, they provided a printout of plans and measurements, so we ordered cabinets from IKEA based on the provided measurements. Installation was delayed due to scheduling issues (when can we get the time off we need to strip the kitchen, etc) and health issues (one of us was dealing with medical issues that don't need to be outlined here). Everything remained in their boxes until then, and of course we had no reason to doubt measurements provided as part of a so-called professional design service from 'True Colours' On installation day, the professional installers came in and discovered the kitchen cabinets were too long to be practical (if installed, they would have been too close to the counter and stove). Because the installers were there and a reschedule would have left us without a kitchen for several weeks, we approved them cutting the cabinets down to size (at a cost). We contacted True Colours very shortly after, and their response all along has been to blame us - the customer - for not confirming the measurements were correct, and to question why we waited so long between the design and installation day. Their attitude when they make a mistake seems to be 'deny and deflect'. True Colours Design Group does NOT stand behind their work. I would NEVER hire them again, and I WOULD NOT recommend their services to anyone I know.
