I was amazed by this shop. They are creative with their dress material, the "cuteness" factor is very high. As for the price, my personal opinion is you pay for uniqueness and quality, so it is absolutely worth it! I was proud to see such a store in Canada. I absolutely recommend them read more

I always love visiting The Cross Decor & Design, but if I'm being honest, I mostly come for their incredible Jellycat collection! They consistently carry such a fantastic selection, including so many unique and hard-to-find plushies that you don't see everywhere else. Every single time I step inside, I end up bringing home a new friend... and my husband completely loses his mind every time! :) Beyond my stuffed animal addiction, the store itself is pure inspiration. I'm planning to redo my living room within the next year, so I've been eyeing a few of their decor pieces and design elements. That soft, West Coast vintage cottage aesthetic they curate is just so dreamy and beautifully put together. Whether you're looking for gorgeous home accents, design inspiration, or just a new plush companion to add to your collection, this spot is an absolute gem! read more

Uhhmm....I'm actually slightly shocked. My first experience with False Advertising. Here's what happened..... I've walked by this place many times, and have been inside browsing a few times, and besides the fact that their staff is not the friendliest or the most attentive, today I questioned their credibility. I was looking for a set of Highball Cocktail Glasses. Their website illustrates the "Alexis Highball Glass" crafted out of Optic Glass at $14.95 ea. The money was not an issue. I wanted something chic, elegant and quality, and was willing to pay for it. I decided to visit the store. Once again like many other times, I walk in and no acknowledgment at all by the staff. Circled about three times in the store, not a single approach, and I actually would've liked some assistance. I found the "Alexis Highball Glass" and was unpleasantly surprised, as it felt more like plastic. It was light, composition blurry, warm to the touch and when tapped dull. This particular glass felt and looked like Optic-Grade Plastic than Optic Glass, which are two very different products, with certainly different price points. I mean obviously I didn't whip out in front of me a mini glass testing lab to render my conclusion with 100% certainty, but what do they say....If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck and looks like a duck....it's what?........ The stone in my shoe with this case, is why advertise Optic Glass on your website when the actual product in store has all the arrows pointing to Plastic? It's sad. If this place provided high-end quality assured unique home decor for all the beautiful seasons of this pretty city, and had on board individuals who truly know customer service, the store would be invincible. read more

The Cross Decor and Design - Best sellers - Furniture Stores Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing beautiful stores I've ever been in. I want to live here. Or, I want my home to look exactly like this store. Even their dining room show room is the dinner party room of my dreams. You get it, I'm obsessed. Style wise, they are all about the soft vintage, rustic, romantic, country side feel. Which is riiiiight up my alley. Every piece of furniture they have is so beautifully made. I want it all! I definitely agree with Melissa C though. You really need to take your time in here because you can find some hidden gems if you browse hard enough. All the staff members I've interacted with are so lovely and knowledgeable on all their products. I find it pretty impressive since many of their products are European imports and there are plenty of different designers. I am looking forward to the day where I can afford to go into this shop on a regular basis and be able to buy something other than a candle and a cheese platter. If you aren't following their Instagram page yet, you should. It's just as aesthetically pleasing. read more

The Cross Decor and Design - Furniture Stores Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

In a nutshell, I like most of the items they offer in this store, but their sales associates are neither helpful nor friendly. This store's interior has a "shabby chic" appearance in some areas which give it an attractive look if that is your style. They have a large floor space filled with various items such as tableware (Royal Alberts for example), bedding, children's toys, gift wraps, etc. which are all very nice. The Cross' prices reflect the Yaletown neighbourhood where it is situated in: rather expensive or just plain expensive. They have small items that are still affordable, to be fair. I've bought appetizer plates, Christmas lights and candles (which burn gracefully. Honest!) from them in the past. I would never "splurge" here, however. Again, let's not forget the importance of providing good customer service. :) They're very much lacking in this department. Hence, the two-star rating. read more

This is such a cute shop full of trinkets to display around the house! It's a bit on the pricey side but the location does speak for itself. I found this gem on a stroll around Yaletown and I have to say, this is a great place to check out if you're looking for redecorating ideas! read more

I love this store! I've recently been in the process of renovating and gutting my condo. I went to the cross to find my dream furniture. I started with the most beautiful pink bedding set and went from there. Couches, tables, chairs and my favorite (white velvet ottoman). I bought a bunch of other accessories and pink accents. I can't why enough of this store. I find the staff really friendly and helpful. They are responsive by email which for me is my preferred method of contact. read more

I want to give this store more stars because I want to own everything in here. The reality is that although everything is gorgeous some items do seem overpriced. Regardless, I can often find inspired gifts for a house-warming party or a cute accent item for my daughter's latest bedroom makeover. There are some sweet baby things for a shower as well. If we weren't a rather clumsy household I'd probably buy more pretty things here but spending money on breakables isn't a wise use of my tight ''mum' budget right now. For now I'll keep myself content with browsing and dreaming. read more

Ever since I discovered The Cross Decor and Design in Yaletown I have stopped being spend thrifty as I always impulsively buy something whenever I pass by. I don't even want to know how much I spent here so far- probably in the thousands. They sell all the things for home decoration. I love how everything is ritzy hotel-style which is what I aim for. Whenever I can't help but think of Audrey Hepburn because I think she would love this store. I've purchased candle holders, a plant, pastry plates, a throw, candles here. If you are a fasionista the book section is worth checking out as well as they have hard cover Chanel, Louis Vuitton books. Their boxing day sale is still on and are around 30~50% off. Other than that you can find some random discounts here. I bought a fancy throw that was originally $135 but was reduced to $95 just because one pom pom fell out (but I could easily sew it back in) Like the store and the staff here. They take pride in their work and help you until you find what you are looking for... and they love my dog which is ++. Don't forget to check their Instagram for their new stuff that comes in! read more

I love most of the stuff in the store, but the quality is not that great which is why I was baffled by some of the price tags. You can find a couple things in here that are really cute (not many practical things) but this store is meant for people that have a lot of money and a lot of time on their hands. I do like their kitsch book selection (also not very practical but nice) and the overall layout is impressive, if I could live in the store I would. The only thing that really put me off (and warranted the two star rating) was how rude the staff was to me when I walked in. I was looking for something nice for my mom, no one approached me and they basically rolled their eyes when I asked them a question. They might have had a bad day, but I thought the goal was to make the customer feel welcomed, not stupid for entering. read more

I really am a fan of this store, if only I could be a true buying fan. The Cross Decor and Design is a beautifully presented store that provides a soft rustic, vintage and oh la la kind of feel. With a healthy wallet, you can transform your home with lush duvets, gigantic cloud-like pillows, tastefully worn closets, ottomans, chairs and tables, modern and sleek picture frames and royally sparkling chandeliers. Not to mention you may adorn your child in frilly ballet dresses or prince charming worthy sweater vests as they hold onto adorable and soft plush animals. I really enjoy the back corner of the store because of all the interesting and different books. I can find a book perfect for each of my girlfriends, like an Audrey Hepburn book, Paris books or memories of Gucci. Cross is definitely a store you need to take your time in because there are lovely items hidden everywhere. I enjoy their Voluspa coconut wax candles in Eden & Pear, delicate gold and silver jewelry, unique and feminine umbrellas, kitchen ware, and more. Overall, a good store to pick up a gift that isn't run-of-the-mill or buy for your future living quarters, or at least dream of it... read more

First time visiting this Home Decor shop in Vancouver the other day and it was so much to take in that it seemed almost overwhelming, everywhere you looked there was something that caught your eye. Everything is displayed wonderfully and the sales associates are very knowledgeable, helpful and you can tell they just love working in the store. Prices range for $10 to many thousands. Lots of vintage pieces as well. I walked out with a glass skull to add to the collection and it is just great. They have an on line business as well and I will for sure pop in again when I'm in Vancouver since it is just down the street from my hotel. A return trip is for sure in order - I think I might go back and buy that skull vintage glass tray read more

This place is awesome for gifts. They have cool gifts from all price ranges and they gift wrap everything for free as well. Oh and they sell really cute cards to go with your gifts too! Maybe not the best place to bring your husband/boyfriend as it's pretty "girlie" (which equals boring), but this is definitely my "go-to" place when I want to impress and treat someone I care about. read more

Eek. What an all around purchasing nightmare. I heard about this store from following bloggers, as I live in the states. I decided to order a gorgeous mirror I had been eyeing for a while. I called on September 11th & placed the order with an associate. I was told that the item was on backorder - not a problem - I was happy & excited to wait for the mirror I had finally pulled the trigger on purchasing. At the beginning of November, I followed up with an email to the same associate just to check if she had heard anything. To my pleasant surprise she emailed that the item was back in stock & would be shipping in 5-10 business days & she would be in touch with tracking. YAY! 2 weeks later & I still hadn't heard back from her. So I followed up to check on tracking & status. She flat out ghosted me. 4 days later, I was getting suspicious & really frustrated. I sent an email to the associate AND CC'd any other email I could find on the website. I demanded a manager call me the next day. I received a call from a manager who apologized for the associate who basically... lied?? However I had to ASK for some type of concession... it was not offered. I asked if he would waive the shipping. I would have thought that as a manager that would have been the first thing you would do. Ask how you could remedy the situation or offer some type of concession for the error & frustration. The following month... December 1st: I received an email from the associate that the mirror was in their store & they would be shipping out ASAP. She would be in touch with tracking soon. 'Groundhogs Day', anyone?? I wasn't going to get too excited. December 6th: still no email with tracking... so I sent a follow up to the associate & the Sales Manager saying that I didn't think this mirror was ever being sent. Right away, I received an email back from the associate with confirmed tracking. She said they would like to compensate for the shipping (which I had already paid for) for the inconvenience. I had already suggested this to the Sales Manager earlier... I called & left a voicemail for the Sales Manager to run my card for reimbursement & (SHOCKER) I never heard back from him. I begrudgingly called the Sales Associate to give her my card for reimbursement... she ran the card & that was that. Right? OF COURSE NOT! Later that day I received a voicemail from her that she had accidentally reimbursed me for the entire purchase. Seriously?! I was traveling so I wasn't able to call right back. I also received an email from her. The next day I PROMPTLY received another follow up call. How on top of it she was when it came to her error in the store's money... That day, I called her back & paid. Look, I get what back ordered means. I was willing & happy to wait but my frustration is the error, the poor communication, another error & ultimately poor customer service. I was under the impression this was a high end store. The quality of the items must be high end because the customer service is a real crap show. By the way, it's now December 18th & I still have not received the mirror... read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this gem of a store! In addition to beautiful art, furniture, accessories, linens and lighting, they have a stunning jewellery section. This is my go to place for decor accessorizing and personal shopping sprees (I have a weakness for Amanda Voglers pieces). I was excited to buy an ottoman from this shop as I had found this store online. I emailed them from the website about available fabrics and I received no reply. I like to support local but not when the company is so snobbish. Very disappointed. read more

For this story I imagine two siblings, twins I might add, one is male and one is female. Oh did I mention they were separated at birth? For all intense and purposes lets call the brother Liberty, and the sister The Cross. (See where I am going?) anyways Liberty is modern and eclectic and is into cool little accessories, and funny thing The cross is to. The cross has an excellent selection of furniture and bedding and so does Liberty. Both offer and extensive design service, and both like to sparkle. However Liberty is a bit darker and mysterious.. luvs the crows you know. The cross is a little more light and airy and little more girly. Pluses are the really lovely items that I don't see in other shops and the nice folks working there. Prices fluctuate widely; you may pick up one item expecting a moderate price and find it is several times higher than anticipated, then find something priced much lower than anticipated. Beautiful store and impeccable client service. What a beautiful store. I have seen many a dream living room or bedroom displayed, and have coveted several of their items. They have a great selection of candles, jewellery, and, what I go there for...greeting cards! The cross is a beautiful furniture store in Yaletown. The store features a wide variety of home decor and many pieces are local. The customer service from both The Cross and their manufacturer (Bliss Studio) is horrible! I was on the waitlist for a YEAR for the popular KOTINOS WREATH, just to be told that the manufacturer (Bliss Studio) changed how the wreath looks. I don't know why The Cross and their manufacturer Bliss Studio didn't honour what they promised to their customers. The Cross should have told the manufacturer that they had customers waiting for a year for this specific style of the wreath. Instead, I get an email saying how the wreath is still beautiful and structurally sound from an associate. The Cross didn't even try to resolve this issue with their manufacturer. The manufacturer Bliss Studio still claims to sell the old Kotinos wreath on their site. Other sellers still claim to have the old Kotinos wreath, because the manufacturer hasn't informed them of the "NEW Kotinos Wreath". How does a manufacturer just change its products without informing its suppliers? I don't know why The Cross is carrying products from such a misleading manufacturer. It's unheard of waiting a YEAR for a product and then disappointing your customers. Please avoid this place, they don't care about their customers! read more
