We were undertaking the renovation of a townhouse on Fairview Slopes, Vancouver. Knowing that the…read morekitchen and bathrooms (3) would be big ticket items, we wanted them to be updated in manner that would suit the modernist multi levelled townhouse and our lifestyle. We wanted perfection and we got it! We visited Reynolds' Shop in North Vancouver one Saturday afternoon. We met with designer, Stephanie Kantonen. She listened to our needs and wants while pulling samples of cabinet and counter finishes. She was also getting to know us and we her. We spent around 1.5 hours with Stephanie and by the time we left we were convinced that we would look no further. Reynolds and Stephanie Kantonen had our work. No reservations from us. I might add here that we are a very disxerning couple in our late 60s. We knew what we wanted and we knew that Stephanie and Reynolds would deliver. Stephanie has an impecable sense of design. She was right for the job because she immediately understood the look that we wanted to achieve. Our townhouse was designed in 1983 by the highly accomplished architect, James KM Cheng. Cheng had given us some renovation guidelines to follow. We shared those with Stephanie and even gave her the responsibility of reworking Cheng's signature fireplace. She even customized all of our closets. On every occasion we were so impressed by her work. Always meticulous, always commuicative, always on budget and always on time. Take my advice, go to Reynolds in North Vancouver and you won't have to look further. Reynolds has been in business for 40 years. Owner, Jamie Reynolds, is also very hands on with projects. Very highly recommended ***** 5/5 stars all of the way.

For asking my son : he can sit on the chair if he has money to buy and checked his shoes to let him on the bed: no he was not joking, David checked the sole of my son's shoes and clapped to ask him to get down the stool; my son felt angry after he left the store. I felt humiliated. The owner is shallow and miserable, I pity his childhood. Think before entering the place with kids. The products are bought from Italy, they don not own the manufacturing unit, it means you are paying double profit , first to the manufacturing unit and second to resource, that's the reason for hike in prices (double compared to other places).

Keep in mind that since it's custom made in Italy, it takes a very long time for delivery (months. plural), but it's worth the wait if you want something this innovative and high quality. Also, make sure the mattress you buy isn't too thick to fit.

Many places offer similar type lamps but are either clunky, unoriginal or will make your wallet over $1,000 lighter. We found the one we've looking for at BoConcept. It's a furniture franchise originated in Denmark. The store in Vancouver is on the 2nd level of the building shared by Inspirations on the ground level of the building. It was slight confusing on our first visit because they are 2 separate businesses which share a common centre in-store stairwell. Service was good. Since the only one available was a floor model, we were offered a reasonable 10% discount. A good alternative to sleeker and more stylish Scandinavian furniture in town than the mothership from Sweden.

The thing that makes BoConcept different from just anywhere else is the service that we get (from Paul) and we also like that everything just works together. The look is clean and refined and the quality is quite good as well. It's also nice to have an actual designer come to your house to help you see if things will work etc. They will even come during the installation to ensure that things are aligned correctly etc. I would definitely recommend them (and Paul) to friends, and I have.

Urban Presentations did the staging on a 1-BR condo I had listed in Kitsilano in November 2020, transforming it from a dark and dated space to a stunning modern and chic apartment that buyers fell in love with. Cindy gives the best advice about colors, furniture placement, and the latest design trends that fit the type of home she is working with. She and her very efficient team brought in all the furniture and decor items and had it camera-ready in 4 hours. My seller was thrilled, and we sold it the first week. I am very happy to highly recommend her to any of my clients in the future.

I've watched this company grow from its infancy and since 2011, I've seen them really take things to the next level, entrenching themselves as a major presence in the local real estate market. Yet somehow, they've managed to maintain a consistent standard of service throughout, with the charm and efficiency of a boutique company...the same one I remember...who clearly loves what they do and always puts the needs and concerns of their clients first. Urban Presentations has the unnatural ability to welcome projects of any scale or nature, with a positive attitude and enthusiastic approach, from a complete staging of a totally vacant home to a complete de-clutter of one bursting at the seams. Their versatility and commitment to doing whatever it takes to get the job done allows me to do my job with confidence. No matter what the condition of the home or the demeanor of the homeowner, I know that the job will get done well and efficiently and that the homeowner will be treated with the utmost respect, care, and dignity. Although I trust them implicitly to take on a project and just run with it, as the "role-up-your-sleeves" type of Realtor that I am, I occasionally find myself working alongside the Urban Presentations team as we get a listing ready for the market. This has given me the opportunity to really get to know the team and the way they operate. As individuals, each team member is fun and outgoing, energetic, and entirely self-motivated. Collectively and individually, they have an exceptional eye for detail, possess a strong understanding of design and home staging principles, and have impeccable communication and customer service skills and standards. As a team, it seems as thought there are absolutely no weak links. They communicate so well with one another that they seem to operate effortlessly as a unit, regardless of whether or not they are working individually or as a team at any given time. Their projects are always completed on time and on budget and to the very highest standards when it comes to staging, design and décor. I can always count on being amazed with how well they are able to transform challenging and particularly underwhelming spaces into functional and visually jaw-dropping masterpieces. And this is consistently supported in the feedback I receive from buyers, who are constantly telling me during showings that they simply had to come and view the property because it looked so good in the pictures. From a Realtor's perspective, there is no better validation that a staging company has done their job successfully. With Urban Presentations, I can count on this reaction every time.

Transition pieces were not properly glued down, baseboard nails were not set flush, and the caulking was poorly done--problems that are still visible today. I lived with these issues for years because fixing them once was not enough and I did not want to deal with the issue again. The manager at the time did offer me a partial refund so I didn't ask for a 2nd fix. In hindsight I should have. Recently, I re-engaged Jordans because I need to redo my flooring. Engaging with the current store manager I was told in person that we would be "taken care of" and "hooked up" because of the 2017 experience. What followed was a 10¢/sqft price reduction (about $55 total). When I raised this marginal discount, the alternative offered was removing recommended services of leveling and voiding warranty. This process wasted significant time and did not rebuild confidence with Jordan's. We chose another contractor.
