This has been an interesting stay at the residence inn in Price George co, DC.... Room was poorly renovated, and who in the world designed the showers... very poor, poor design. Water gets all over the floor, it's cold and the shower head was nasty. The light bulbs in both bathrooms were flickering, probably not the right bulbs in there... the wallpaper was torn in several rooms... and the most nasty thing about this. PLEASE DONT USE REUSABLE DISH SCRUBBERS! It was absolutely NASTY, seriously Residence Inn. Use disposable one use sponges for the kitchen.... The microwave was nasty and broken so the glass plate wouldn't spin... and the cabinets in kitchen were also not clean. The duvets were both stained, on each bed.... mattresses dented in from use and poor pillow quality. Never, never staying again

I travel for work all the time. I found the Marriott to be Clean, great WiFi, and a modern look. I don't know what people are talking about, but I had great stay. Good sleep allowed me to get work done. I was able to watch all my Netflix shows because the wifi was so good. I'm looking forward to returning.

My stay was wonderful. I stayed in a one bed suite with a couch and the kitchen. My room was really comfortable and clean. The staff was really friendly, especially the house keeping staff. I asked for towels and the sweet lady just spoiled me in toiletries and other things I might need. Check in and check out was pleasant. Will definitely be coming back

The hotel is older and claimed to have renovated their rooms, so we were convinced this would be a good spot. Let's start with the pros: There is a bunch of parking our front. The staff was friendly. The restaurant in lobby was good, and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Shoutout to the bartender David for his excellent service & kindness. The hotel is located across the street from Woodmore Towncenter, so you have gas stations, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Some room for improvement: The room we were initially given was absolutely horrendous. It looked nothing like the photos we saw when we booked the room. There were lady bugs, stink bugs, and I saw a spider in the room. The furniture was archaic & not what I expected. The TV was hanging off of the frame. I felt myself looking around the room fearful that a bug was going to suspend from the ceiling, fall on me and start crawling. After one night, my husband requested a new room, and thank goodness they gave us a freshly renovated room. The room was still a little dated, but it just felt clean and comfortable. I was able to enjoy my stay after the switch. For context, I posted photos of the new room they gave us. The elevator is extremely slow, so I hope they are working on fixing that. If we didnt have the mishap with the first room, (for the price) I would give our stay a 4/5.

I said to myself "it has to get better...just go and check in". I go to the front desk and was met with attitude and no hospitality. He greets me with a tight "what tf are you doing here" face so I GREETED HIM to try and break the ice. Before the check in process, I explained that my little sister unexpectedly decided to stay with me, and is there any way my room can be changed from a king bed to a double. "Tight face" says "yes for a $50 upgrade fee". I was confused so I asked why was there an upgrade fee when the rooms on every website INCLUDING DOUBLETREE was the same price. He says "when I push the button it says $50 " and then suggested I call Expedia. I call Expedia and explained the situation and the rep says "wait no, that should be an easy transfer...let me see if I can do it on my end." She was unable to and put me on hold to call the front desk to see why I would be charged extra if the rooms were the same, and she got the same energy, attitude and answer from the front desk "when I push the button it says $50 ." We're now at 30 minutes of dealing with this room so I said "you know what...forget it, I'll keep the room I booked, please just check me in" ( anything to get away from this smell) We began the check in process and I asked how much the deposit is for my room...I was told $250, but then I'm given forms to sign, one of which states that my deposit would be the amount of the tax on the room + $50 for the deposit. I asked the other front desk rep, let's call him IDK, (because I don't know was literally the only answer he could provide) why was there a difference in the price of the deposit I was quoted and what I'm being asked to sign. His answer...y'all already know....I don't know. Hey...it's 2026, and scammers have jobs too, so I asked to see ANYTHING that has their current deposit amount on it and he of course said "I don't know where anything is at the desk, but it's on all the external booking sites. Ok great, so I pull up Expedia, Booking and Hotels...nothing about a deposit there, so I asked "is there anywhere else I can look?" and "tight face" says under his breath "let me get a manager ". "I don't know" wasn't being yelled at, he didn't look agitated or uneasy...there were no voices raised, and he was actually trying to explains the policy to me, so why someone who wasn't involved in our transaction felt the need to call a manager...I don't know. I ended up letting him know that I wouldn't be initially that one section about the deposit, since they couldn't show me the new policy and paid. I get to the room...the elevators open and the smell along with plastic tarps hits me...of course I booked for relaxation and got the "under construction" floor, but I keep going to the room and let's just say the furniture and walls looked to have been in a gang fight (that it lost) with the amount of nicks, dings, and scratches on every surface (the bathroom was nice). The furniture was outdated and covered in stains, but there was no way in hell I was going back to that front desk so I just decided to only sit on the bed. I get ready and leave, and while I'm gone my sister (who was at the desk at check in with me) comes down to get a water. Their tap wasn't working so she asked them to charge it to the room. Again she was met with attitude and "tight face" interrogated my sister before agreeing to charge the $3 water to the room. We get back to the room at 4am and I stop off at the front desk to ask for a late check out...and I was told...you guessed it "no". In the morning check out was at 11, and not one but 2 hotel staff knocked on the door 45 minutes early to throw us out...which I was more than happy to leave. I will never and I mean NEVER visit another Doubletree again...hey Paris, Nicki and the rest of y'all Hiltons...get this shit together!

Residence Inn by Marriott Upper Marlboro Joint Base Andrews…read moreMy stay at this hotel was pleasant in terms of the room and comfort; however, the front desk experience and billing issue were extremely concerning and overshadowed the entire stay. Upon arrival, no staff was present at the front desk. When someone finally appeared, they failed to follow standard check-in procedures, including not requesting a credit card for incidentals, which is customary at Marriott properties. After three days, at the time of checkout, I was suddenly stopped by staff and treated as though I had done something wrong, despite the oversight being entirely on their end. I was then asked to place my card on hold for incidentals on the day of checkout, rather than at check-in. Weeks later, I discovered that $596.81 was charged to my card, even though the entire stay had already been paid for using Marriott points. This charge was not authorized as a room payment and was never clearly explained. As a result, I am now disputing the charge with my bank, and the process has taken weeks to resolve. While the physical stay itself was nice, the lack of professionalism, poor front desk management, and unresolved billing practices are unacceptable. Being treated like a criminal for an internal staff error, followed by an unexplained charge, has completely damaged my trust in this location. I strongly recommend that management review staff training, check-in protocols, and billing controls to prevent this from happening to future guests. This hotels charged me for the entire stay which is very disturbing to the highest extent. When I called the representative at the front said, "Nothing was taken out and I needed to call my bank." One star is way too generous.

I've worked at Marriott so I know the standard and I always stay at residence inns which are my fav hotels. From the moment we arrived, her demeanor was cold, hostile, and incredibly unwelcoming. She repeatedly gave my family unfriendly, glaring looks that made us uncomfortable, to the point that we just wanted to leave the hotel. Her attitude only worsened the situation. She was consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional in every interaction. To make matters worse, we were overcharged by her, and it did not feel like an honest mistake. The only reason it was corrected is because I caught it and confronted her directly. Had I not said anything, I strongly believe the issue would have gone unresolved. Because of Joyce's behavior, what should have been a comfortable stay turned into a tense and unpleasant experience for my entire family. Guests should feel welcomed, respected, and valued, especially by front desk staff, who represent the first impression of the business. Unfortunately, Joyce's manner was the exact opposite. We felt dismissed, disrespected, and completely unwelcome throughout our stay. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel. If you're looking for a more professional and welcoming environment, I strongly suggest considering nearby options like DoubleTree by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton, or WoodSpring Suites instead. Management should take feedback seriously and address it immediately, as this level of treatment is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on this establishment.

NO STARS GIVEN!!! NO STARS GIVEN!!!…read more ***DISCLAIMER- DO NOT STAY HERE IF BOOKING A WHIRLPOOL JACUZZI ROOM!!! You've been warned. BBB complaint filed; more to follow. Upon completion of meditation, I will CONSIDER revising this review. Until then, this review will stand as our personal account of this property!*** What was intended to be a relaxing and celebratory getaway for our 19th wedding anniversary turned into a deeply frustrating and uncomfortable experience that left us disappointed and dissatisfied. After recently losing my mother on March 5, 2025, my husband and I had not had a moment to ourselves. We planned this short trip to decompress, reconnect, and find a bit of peace. We specifically booked a whirlpool jacuzzi suite near the National Harbor to ensure a restful environment. Instead, we encountered unprofessional service, persistent noise issues, and a lack of transparency from the staff regarding the room's location. When we arrived at approximately 11:30 PM on June 6, we were completely ignored at the front desk while the night clerk assisted a group of about six guests for nearly 15 minutes. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, no apology for the wait -- not even a simple "I'll be right with you." Only after they left did she finally address me, asking how my day was in a manner that felt dismissive and performative. To make things worse, she asked if I knew whether the previous guests had taken the elevator -- an irrelevant and bizarre question for a late-night check-in. We were assigned Room 107; however, we were never informed that this room was located directly beneath the hotel's fitness center. Yes, a damn fitness center!!!! A fitness center on the second floor while we're assigned a room in the basement!!! That lack of disclosure ruined our entire weekend. At around 8:15 AM on Saturday morning, we were awakened by loud, continuous banging -- similar to weights dropping or people jumping -- from the floor above. I suffer from chronic migraines, and the noise instantly triggered a severe attack. We tried calling the front desk using the in-room phone, but the phone was dead. A maintenance worker later knocked on the door, claiming the front desk could hear us, but we couldn't hear them. Despite my husband explaining the issue, the staff member offered no help and never returned. The noise persisted intermittently for over THREE hours, completely derailing our planned day of activities. I was instead confined to bed, trying to manage my pain. To our dismay, the same noise started again on Sunday morning at around 7:30 AM. Still unaware of the source, I called the front desk from my personal phone. I spoke with a staff member named Denise, who identified herself as the manager. She casually informed me -- for the first time -- that our room was directly under the fitness center and that there was nothing she could do, as the gym was an amenity available during non-quiet hours. Wtf?!?! This was both shocking and unacceptable!!! At no point during booking or check-in were we warned about the room's location. Had we known we would be placed beneath a gym, we never would have accepted the room. The hotel failed to disclose a critical detail that directly impacted our ability to rest and enjoy our stay. Any room located beneath a fitness center should come with a clear disclaimer. In addition to the in-person experience, I also attempted to resolve this matter through their corporate office. On Monday, June 9, 2025, I contacted the corporate line and spoke with an employee named Mon, who assured me that our conversation would be recorded and reviewed by the general manager of the hotel. I was told I would receive a follow-up call. That call never came -- no phone call, no email, no text message. After waiting nearly three weeks, I followed up again on June 27, 2025, and spoke with another representative named Necy. She acknowledged the issue and offered 20,000 points to stay at another property. Yeah, ok...no thank you!! I declined!! Necy said the general manager would contact me. As of July 3, 2025, I still have not been contacted. This hotel delivered an unacceptable experience due to staff negligence, poor communication, and a failure to provide a quiet, restful environment. Corporate support has also failed to follow through. We paid for a relaxing anniversary weekend and instead endured stress, physical pain, and total disruption of our plans. We did not receive the quality of service or accommodation promised, and I am deeply disappointed in the way this issue has been handled at every level.

I knew the room I was going to be assigned to would be in a section that they only use for those traveling with pets but the hallway smelled like cat litter. It was pretty unpleasant. Thankfully the actual room did not smell like this. They ask you to keep the 'do not disturb' sign on your door at all times so housekeeping does not try to come in when your pet is present. However, I did not see any other do not disturb signs on any of the nearby rooms in that hallway so I assumed there weren't any other pets present and that the smell was lingering or embedded in the carpets/walls/etc. The room was fairly average. We stayed for 2 nights and took advantage of the free breakfast from 6-10am daily. They offered the typical eggs, a meat option, starch, cereal, oatmeal, muffins/bagels, and also had two waffle makers. The attendant was prompt to refill items which was good. It was not crowded in the hotel on either of the days and there was an adequate amount of parking. I would say that the grass was very overgrown/not kept up with. I only noticed this when taking my dog out to use the bathroom because the grass was as tall as she was. Also, the poop bag stations were empty.
