To fix the stopper, just pull it out and lay it behind the faucet!

Well, the heat was either "off" or "full blast inferno" with that kind of dry electric heat that makes it impossible to breathe through your nose, so I had to get up several times in the night and open the door to let the sub-freezing weather cool off the room. I told the maintenance guy the stopper in the sink wasn't working and, since the faucet was leaking, it was going to overflow. When I returned, they'd fixed the stopper at least (see pic for the bang-up job they did), but the sink still drips at a steady trickle, so there is that annoying noise and waste. Then, you get to listen to CNN while you check in, so there is THAT annoying noise before you even get in the room. Then there is the trash in the parking lot, the cop sitting outside your room for hours with his/her lights flashing, and the charming touch of ghetto authenticity of the old mattress leaning against the stair railing. But, what do you expect for $35 per night? Oh wait, for a minute I was thinking the owners were decent, rational human beings. They actually charge $90 per night.

Queen size non smoking 65.99.... Not as bad as I thought

NO STARS GIVEN!!! NO STARS GIVEN!!!…read more ***DISCLAIMER- DO NOT STAY HERE IF BOOKING A WHIRLPOOL JACUZZI ROOM!!! You've been warned. BBB complaint filed; more to follow. Upon completion of meditation, I will CONSIDER revising this review. Until then, this review will stand as our personal account of this property!*** What was intended to be a relaxing and celebratory getaway for our 19th wedding anniversary turned into a deeply frustrating and uncomfortable experience that left us disappointed and dissatisfied. After recently losing my mother on March 5, 2025, my husband and I had not had a moment to ourselves. We planned this short trip to decompress, reconnect, and find a bit of peace. We specifically booked a whirlpool jacuzzi suite near the National Harbor to ensure a restful environment. Instead, we encountered unprofessional service, persistent noise issues, and a lack of transparency from the staff regarding the room's location. When we arrived at approximately 11:30 PM on June 6, we were completely ignored at the front desk while the night clerk assisted a group of about six guests for nearly 15 minutes. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment, no apology for the wait -- not even a simple "I'll be right with you." Only after they left did she finally address me, asking how my day was in a manner that felt dismissive and performative. To make things worse, she asked if I knew whether the previous guests had taken the elevator -- an irrelevant and bizarre question for a late-night check-in. We were assigned Room 107; however, we were never informed that this room was located directly beneath the hotel's fitness center. Yes, a damn fitness center!!!! A fitness center on the second floor while we're assigned a room in the basement!!! That lack of disclosure ruined our entire weekend. At around 8:15 AM on Saturday morning, we were awakened by loud, continuous banging -- similar to weights dropping or people jumping -- from the floor above. I suffer from chronic migraines, and the noise instantly triggered a severe attack. We tried calling the front desk using the in-room phone, but the phone was dead. A maintenance worker later knocked on the door, claiming the front desk could hear us, but we couldn't hear them. Despite my husband explaining the issue, the staff member offered no help and never returned. The noise persisted intermittently for over THREE hours, completely derailing our planned day of activities. I was instead confined to bed, trying to manage my pain. To our dismay, the same noise started again on Sunday morning at around 7:30 AM. Still unaware of the source, I called the front desk from my personal phone. I spoke with a staff member named Denise, who identified herself as the manager. She casually informed me -- for the first time -- that our room was directly under the fitness center and that there was nothing she could do, as the gym was an amenity available during non-quiet hours. Wtf?!?! This was both shocking and unacceptable!!! At no point during booking or check-in were we warned about the room's location. Had we known we would be placed beneath a gym, we never would have accepted the room. The hotel failed to disclose a critical detail that directly impacted our ability to rest and enjoy our stay. Any room located beneath a fitness center should come with a clear disclaimer. In addition to the in-person experience, I also attempted to resolve this matter through their corporate office. On Monday, June 9, 2025, I contacted the corporate line and spoke with an employee named Mon, who assured me that our conversation would be recorded and reviewed by the general manager of the hotel. I was told I would receive a follow-up call. That call never came -- no phone call, no email, no text message. After waiting nearly three weeks, I followed up again on June 27, 2025, and spoke with another representative named Necy. She acknowledged the issue and offered 20,000 points to stay at another property. Yeah, ok...no thank you!! I declined!! Necy said the general manager would contact me. As of July 3, 2025, I still have not been contacted. This hotel delivered an unacceptable experience due to staff negligence, poor communication, and a failure to provide a quiet, restful environment. Corporate support has also failed to follow through. We paid for a relaxing anniversary weekend and instead endured stress, physical pain, and total disruption of our plans. We did not receive the quality of service or accommodation promised, and I am deeply disappointed in the way this issue has been handled at every level.

The main saving grace was the cleaners, they were so sweet and kind and the location. When I…read morechecked in there was a manager who was on the phone speaking loudly instead of helping, very unprofessional. The snack area was sad, barely anything to purchase. Residence Inn by Marriott Upper Marlboro Joint Base Andrews…read moreMy stay at this hotel was pleasant in terms of the room and comfort; however, the front desk experience and billing issue were extremely concerning and overshadowed the entire stay. Upon arrival, no staff was present at the front desk. When someone finally appeared, they failed to follow standard check-in procedures, including not requesting a credit card for incidentals, which is customary at Marriott properties. After three days, at the time of checkout, I was suddenly stopped by staff and treated as though I had done something wrong, despite the oversight being entirely on their end. I was then asked to place my card on hold for incidentals on the day of checkout, rather than at check-in. Weeks later, I discovered that $596.81 was charged to my card, even though the entire stay had already been paid for using Marriott points. This charge was not authorized as a room payment and was never clearly explained. As a result, I am now disputing the charge with my bank, and the process has taken weeks to resolve. While the physical stay itself was nice, the lack of professionalism, poor front desk management, and unresolved billing practices are unacceptable. Being treated like a criminal for an internal staff error, followed by an unexplained charge, has completely damaged my trust in this location. I strongly recommend that management review staff training, check-in protocols, and billing controls to prevent this from happening to future guests. This hotels charged me for the entire stay which is very disturbing to the highest extent. When I called the representative at the front said, "Nothing was taken out and I needed to call my bank." One star is way too generous.

My room was just old and had so many issues and I ended up having to literally get on my hands and knees to clean .. no exaggeration! From the couch which had dust mites to the bathroom and overall upkeep of the room I was super disappointed. I've worked at Marriott so I know the standard and I always stay at residence inns which are my fav hotels. The staff tried to accommodate me and switch rooms but the other room wasn't any better and I was already settled into my room and it was late when I returned from running errands. I always stay at this property several times before and other Residence Inns and this was by far the worst as far as cleanliness goes. Again stay was amazing and super helpful. I stayed 3 nights and received 20,000 points for this issue which doesn't even equate to a full nights stay at this property. Super disappointed and won't be returning here. The pictures explain it all! The only reason they are getting 3 starts is because of the wonderful staff!

This one hasn't been here very long I believe but I think it was another hotel before it became an LQ. My checkin process was easy, there's plexiglass up at the desk, hand sanitizer in the lobby and social distancing being practiced. My opinion on the actual building : it was kind of run down looking but like I said I believe it was something else prior to being an LQ. My room. The room was a basic run of the mill hotel room you'd expect from a beltway-side chain. The room was clean and I believe it was one of the handicap rooms. (I don't recall asking for that one specifically but I'm guessing that's what was available). I got the king sized room with fridge and microwave. The bathroom is pretty large, there's a lot of floor space, the bed is comfortable and everything is in order. Upon inspecting the room I noticed the wall trim in the bathroom was peeling off the walls at the base board level. The ceiling in the room area about the bed had a spot like there was a hole cut there, and the bed had a few stains around the bed runner area at the bottom. I like the fact the floor was hard wood and not carpet. There's doors to access the adjacent rooms even though one of the doors is blocked by a nightstand table. The room could use an upgrade. But it's sufficient for a one night stay if that's what you need it for. I bought my dog with me and he enjoyed his stay. I can say there isn't much grass available for walking a dog unless you walk to the business next door but on hotel property, I didn't see much. I love LQ hotels but this one, not so much. Another caveat, the sheets appeared worn already. As if someone was laying in the bed and they just covered it with the comforter instead of changed it.

Instead of addressing the issue respectfully, the manager became defensive and told me that I "complained too much." Shortly after, I was denied my stay despite already paying. As a paying guest, I should never be made to feel punished for reporting unsanitary conditions. The way this situation was handled was extremely disrespectful, embarrassing, and unprofessional. I hope management and corporate leadership seriously review how customers are being treated at this location because no guest deserves this kind of experience.

As soon as we entered the room I wanted to leave immediately because I felt physically ill that we were being charged $250 dollars. The bed was broken and leaning, there was mold and cigarette burns on the upholstered headboard and stains we could not identify. The back of the bed was held together by duct and painter's tape and there was a large gaping hole in the middle of the bed's headboard. There were multiple young men standing in the front door to the hotel and we felt unsafe using the main doors, so we found a back door that was held open with a small dirty towel that we used. The heater/AC had coffee (or old blood) stains all over the front of it. The worst part is, we booked the room specifically for a heart shaped tub as advertised and when we showed up, we received a jacuzzi room that was not heart shaped. After adapting to the smell, I reach for the remote, which is sticky. I put it down, but after I turned on the TV. The porn that was left on, was the only semi-clean thing about that room. Exhausted, I pull back the covers. I got a good corner back before the open condom wrapper made me throw the covers back on.
