I thoroughly njoyed a relaxing stay in a practically NEW Courtyard Marriott last weekend. The property was built 4 years ago and due to the pandemic has been preserved very well. I attempted to use my Marriott Bonvoy app for check-in and to utilize the mobile key. Unfortunately, their mobile key system was not accessible. I was checked-in by Marlon who was very friendly, helpful and courteous. Meeting nice people beats technology any day! The hotel is located in a quiet, Suburban area and is 15 minutes from Annapolis. My room was immaculate. The bed was super comfortable and everything was working as designed and in pristine condition. I went to Annapolis for dinner and returned to a Cigar party in the courtyard that was in full swing. It was a mild crowd I was told for that event; however, I met very nice people as a result of the party. I was seated indoors at the bar where the lovely Sharon made my...Lemon Drop Martinis . Sharon is a gem and definite asset to the business. She's a great conversationalist and handled her patrons with poise and patience. It was my pleasure to reside at this Courtyard Marriott and to have met so many wonderful people. The customer service, property and amenities were excellent. This will be my home away from home when I travel to this area.

The hotel staff was great, but rooms had a bit of an ant problem. Still overall, not a bad stay.

There's also ample parking available free of charge for hotel guests. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows weren't fluffy at all and were flat. The room was nice and cold and stayed that way, which is our preference. Our room was equipped with a microwave, fridge and a couch. The hotel also offered Continental breakfast! Waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, yogurt and more! Everything was very good! They also have an outdoor pool, but it wasn't open yet for the season during our stay. We would stay here again!

I knew the room I was going to be assigned to would be in a section that they only use for those traveling with pets but the hallway smelled like cat litter. It was pretty unpleasant. Thankfully the actual room did not smell like this. They ask you to keep the 'do not disturb' sign on your door at all times so housekeeping does not try to come in when your pet is present. However, I did not see any other do not disturb signs on any of the nearby rooms in that hallway so I assumed there weren't any other pets present and that the smell was lingering or embedded in the carpets/walls/etc. The room was fairly average. We stayed for 2 nights and took advantage of the free breakfast from 6-10am daily. They offered the typical eggs, a meat option, starch, cereal, oatmeal, muffins/bagels, and also had two waffle makers. The attendant was prompt to refill items which was good. It was not crowded in the hotel on either of the days and there was an adequate amount of parking. I would say that the grass was very overgrown/not kept up with. I only noticed this when taking my dog out to use the bathroom because the grass was as tall as she was. Also, the poop bag stations were empty. Overall this location had what I needed for a quick trip with my dog but I would probably look for a different hotel if I had to travel in this area again with my dog.

The hotel is clean, the staff are lovely and accommodating, the complimentary breakfast is nice, beds are super comfy, and the location is gorgeous tucked in behind the Bowie town centre with easy access to restaurants, takeout, and shopping. I like that the rooms have well-equipped kitchenettes and there are lots of storage solutions to put away your things for a longer stay, makes it feel very homey. I also like that they have a little store in reception to get snacks, frozen food, and drinks so you don't have to go out if you don't feel like it. My only complaint is that the dryers in the laundry never seem to work well, I always have to run the dryer 2-3 times before my stuff's actually dry, which gets expensive quickly at $1.50 per cycle! Overall though, great place and I definitely plan to continue staying here whenever I visit the area

I stayed here for two weeks this past December, so I can't speak for certain amenities like the pool, but I will say it was worth staying here. The hotel was clean, staff was nice, and it had a kitchenette. Perfect for my son and I. If I needed anything last minute, or if I requested the cleaning staff to come back at a different time, the hotel accommodated me. The only suggestion I have is to change up the breakfast options. Other than that, everything was great. The little hidden gem is behind the Bowie Town Center. It was funny because when I told my family where I was going to stay when visiting, they laughed thinking this whole time the hotel was a town house! That's how hidden they are. When I come back in the summer (fingers crossed), I wouldn't mind staying there again. Like I said, the location is perfect for what I need. Staff is nice. The hotel is clean-NO complaints there. There's also a Walmart close by which I LOVE because I can't live without my Walmart. lol I'd love to explore the area by foot a little more. Again, I stayed there this past December and it was FREEZING. I didn't feel like going for walks much...unless it was inside a mall.

I booked and paid for my stay expecting professionalism, comfort, and respect, but instead I was treated unfairly and dismissed by management. During my stay, I discovered a bug in my room and brought the concern to staff because cleanliness and safety should matter at any hotel, especially one operating under the Hilton brand. Instead of addressing the issue respectfully, the manager became defensive and told me that I "complained too much." Shortly after, I was denied my stay despite already paying. As a paying guest, I should never be made to feel punished for reporting unsanitary conditions. The way this situation was handled was extremely disrespectful, embarrassing, and unprofessional. Guests should be able to voice concerns without fear of retaliation or being removed. I've stayed at many Hilton properties before and this experience was completely unacceptable. I hope management and corporate leadership seriously review how customers are being treated at this location because no guest deserves this kind of experience.

The hotel is older and claimed to have renovated their rooms, so we were convinced this would be a good spot. Let's start with the pros: There is a bunch of parking our front. The staff was friendly. The restaurant in lobby was good, and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Shoutout to the bartender David for his excellent service & kindness. The hotel is located across the street from Woodmore Towncenter, so you have gas stations, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Some room for improvement: The room we were initially given was absolutely horrendous. It looked nothing like the photos we saw when we booked the room. There were lady bugs, stink bugs, and I saw a spider in the room. The furniture was archaic & not what I expected. The TV was hanging off of the frame. I felt myself looking around the room fearful that a bug was going to suspend from the ceiling, fall on me and start crawling. After one night, my husband requested a new room, and thank goodness they gave us a freshly renovated room. The room was still a little dated, but it just felt clean and comfortable. I was able to enjoy my stay after the switch. For context, I posted photos of the new room they gave us. The elevator is extremely slow, so I hope they are working on fixing that. If we didnt have the mishap with the first room, (for the price) I would give our stay a 4/5.

I said to myself "it has to get better...just go and check in". I go to the front desk and was met with attitude and no hospitality. He greets me with a tight "what tf are you doing here" face so I GREETED HIM to try and break the ice. Before the check in process, I explained that my little sister unexpectedly decided to stay with me, and is there any way my room can be changed from a king bed to a double. "Tight face" says "yes for a $50 upgrade fee". I was confused so I asked why was there an upgrade fee when the rooms on every website INCLUDING DOUBLETREE was the same price. He says "when I push the button it says $50 " and then suggested I call Expedia. I call Expedia and explained the situation and the rep says "wait no, that should be an easy transfer...let me see if I can do it on my end." She was unable to and put me on hold to call the front desk to see why I would be charged extra if the rooms were the same, and she got the same energy, attitude and answer from the front desk "when I push the button it says $50 ." We're now at 30 minutes of dealing with this room so I said "you know what...forget it, I'll keep the room I booked, please just check me in" ( anything to get away from this smell) We began the check in process and I asked how much the deposit is for my room...I was told $250, but then I'm given forms to sign, one of which states that my deposit would be the amount of the tax on the room + $50 for the deposit. I asked the other front desk rep, let's call him IDK, (because I don't know was literally the only answer he could provide) why was there a difference in the price of the deposit I was quoted and what I'm being asked to sign. His answer...y'all already know....I don't know. Hey...it's 2026, and scammers have jobs too, so I asked to see ANYTHING that has their current deposit amount on it and he of course said "I don't know where anything is at the desk, but it's on all the external booking sites. Ok great, so I pull up Expedia, Booking and Hotels...nothing about a deposit there, so I asked "is there anywhere else I can look?" and "tight face" says under his breath "let me get a manager ". "I don't know" wasn't being yelled at, he didn't look agitated or uneasy...there were no voices raised, and he was actually trying to explains the policy to me, so why someone who wasn't involved in our transaction felt the need to call a manager...I don't know. I ended up letting him know that I wouldn't be initially that one section about the deposit, since they couldn't show me the new policy and paid. I get to the room...the elevators open and the smell along with plastic tarps hits me...of course I booked for relaxation and got the "under construction" floor, but I keep going to the room and let's just say the furniture and walls looked to have been in a gang fight (that it lost) with the amount of nicks, dings, and scratches on every surface (the bathroom was nice). The furniture was outdated and covered in stains, but there was no way in hell I was going back to that front desk so I just decided to only sit on the bed. I get ready and leave, and while I'm gone my sister (who was at the desk at check in with me) comes down to get a water. Their tap wasn't working so she asked them to charge it to the room. Again she was met with attitude and "tight face" interrogated my sister before agreeing to charge the $3 water to the room. We get back to the room at 4am and I stop off at the front desk to ask for a late check out...and I was told...you guessed it "no". In the morning check out was at 11, and not one but 2 hotel staff knocked on the door 45 minutes early to throw us out...which I was more than happy to leave. I will never and I mean NEVER visit another Doubletree again...hey Paris, Nicki and the rest of y'all Hiltons...get this shit together!
