My fiancé and I stayed here for one night and it was a decent experience! Check-in was a breeze with a kind worker at the front desk. There's also ample parking available free of charge for hotel guests. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows weren't fluffy at all and were flat. The room was nice and cold and stayed that way, which is our preference. Our room was equipped with a microwave, fridge and a couch. The hotel also offered Continental breakfast! Waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, yogurt and more! Everything was very good! They also have an outdoor pool, but it wasn't open yet for the season during our stay. I chose this hotel when I was traveling in October 2025 because they allow you to have pets (dog/cat only) for an extra fee and I had my medium sized dog with me. I knew the room I was going to be assigned to would be in a section that they only use for those traveling with pets but the hallway smelled like cat litter. It was pretty unpleasant. Thankfully the actual room did not smell like this. They ask you to keep the 'do not disturb' sign on your door at all times so housekeeping does not try to come in when your pet is present. However, I did not see any other do not disturb signs on any of the nearby rooms in that hallway so I assumed there weren't any other pets present and that the smell was lingering or embedded in the carpets/walls/etc. The room was fairly average. We stayed for 2 nights and took advantage of the free breakfast from 6-10am daily. They offered the typical eggs, a meat option, starch, cereal, oatmeal, muffins/bagels, and also had two waffle makers. The attendant was prompt to refill items which was good. It was not crowded in the hotel on either of the days and there was an adequate amount of parking. I would say that the grass was very overgrown/not kept up with. I only noticed this when taking my dog out to use the bathroom because the grass was as tall as she was. Also, the poop bag stations were empty. Overall this location had what I needed for a quick trip with my dog but I would probably look for a different hotel if I had to travel in this area again with my dog. read more

After reporting bed bugs, I used the laundry to clean all my clothes. I was surprised as the police came to remove me from the property because the staff said I was wandering the Halls. Which is true. I needed to go to my new room then my old room wallk to the laundry, front desk for change etc. I may have seemed labored because I have a brain tumor and recently had a stroke. But to be removed by police is embarrassing and my legs are all bit up and sanitation is an issue but calling the police is unacceptable for just trying to get out of a terrible situation. I'd give negative stars if possible. We checked in and settled in our room albeit was the wrong room. Our wifi pswd wouldn't work either. That night our door busted open at 11:00pm by guests thinking it was their room. They screamed! We screamed! The front desk checked them into our room!!!! Also, we were never contacted by the GM. This was a major security breech. You would think he would apologize but we can't even get him on the phone even when corporate calls because they don't care. OMG...the worst experience EVER. The room are NOTHING special. My biggest complaint is the pathetic House keeping service it was simply NON-existent. We stayed for 8 days and our room was (half) cleaned once. No room safe, there's a guest laundry, but no laundry detergent, always running out of refreshments, manager is often no where to be found, more of a self-service hotel with minimal supplies...if you come to this hotel, be prepared to do everything yourself. And don't get a room NEAR the elevator you hear it every time it's used. The full trash was like this every night. read more

Came to this hotel since my client was checked in. The gentleman at the front desk had his mask particularly covering the required areas. The guess were in the lobby and walking through the hallway without any face mask coverings. The mask mandate is still in effect for a reason. This hotel is SCREAMING Covid-19. First things first, my stay was terrible. Upon arrival, someone by the name of Teruye checked myself and my boyfriend in. VERY rude, unprofessional, and distasteful. Her attitude was HORRIBLE and she behaved like she didn't want to be at work. There was another young lady at the front desk as well (didn't catch her name.) She was helping another guest but I couldn't help but notice how sweet she was. I felt extremely bad for her because of the way Teruye was acting towards her. Just nasty for no reason at all. We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and large enough for my family of 5. The front desk clerk was super friendly and very accommodating, helping us with laundry, extra blankets and pillows, and restaurant recommendations. The outdoor pool had a friendly and attentive lifeguard who made sure my boys could swim before he allowed them in the deep end. My kids were excited to see a waffle maker at breakfast. Was disappointed recently when I could cancel my reservation due to the recent snowstorm road closures that made it impossible for me to get there. Was told cancellation not possible, either pay the fee or reschedule for a different date and pay any changes in room rates. Seems unreasonable based on my reason for needing to cancel. The place was fairly clean, and services were okay. Kudos to the breakfast lady. My only complaint was about the bed and pillows. The bed in the room I was given was rock hard, and the pillows were way too soft. To the point that I felt I needed to put two in on pillow case, but then it was too much, and put head at an awkward angle. Also, if you are a coffee person I suggest you take your own along with a maker. The one they provide in the room only takes their terrible little pouches of a less than savory grounds. Tana was so great at check in. We arrived a little early and our room wasn't ready yet. My daughter had just had surgery so we decided to camp out in their lobby area and eat a little lunch. She was so attentive and before we could finish our lunch she had our room ready. Tana also checked up on us throughout our stay to see how my daughter was doing. used my Hilton points for a one night stay. 2 weeks later I found a $1846 charge on my credit card. after trying to contact the manager, no call backs, finally got to speak with manager but was told he was too busy to help with my situation and I should send him an email. front desk clerk was very helpful and after about 1 week got money refunded. however just yesterday i received a $1300 charge on my credit card. it has been almost 2 months since I have stayed there. I sent a formal complaint but when I contacted Hilton the complaint said that I spoke to all there's managers and I was asked to submit proof that they charged me but have not provided any documentation. Stayed here a couple of times for business in the area. Exterior: the grounds and parking lot are clean and presentable. There's ample parking on three of the four sides of the hotel. It is not set in clear site of the main road, so using a map or GPS is definitely necessary. However, once you turn off the main road, there's a nice sign to direct you to the hotel. Interior: some of the areas have been remodeled and it has a nice, comfortable feel to it. The breakfast/lounge area is large and has many different sized tables. The business center is located in the main lobby instead of in a separate room. It does have dividers set up around it, so there's a little bit of privacy. There isn't a conference room available, however, the sales manager is more than happy to convert one of the guest rooms (if available) into a meeting room. It may not be the best option for larger groups, but it works for small ones. Rooms: the room was large, comfortable and clean. This particular hotel does not have the charging stations I've seen in other Hamptons, but there are ample plugs for your electronic devices. Staff: they were delightful! I was always greeted warmly, whether entering or departing the hotel and they were able to assist me with any requests or questions. Wifi: I never had issues with the wifi for the duration of my stay. Overall, this is a nice hotel in which to stay and I will definitely utilize it for future business trips. read more

We have stayed here before, the rooms are fairly nice, the staff is fairly accommodating when we are there. The reason for the bad review is this: We are getting ready to stay there again this weekend for a retirement party starting tomorrow night. Plans have changed however, as some family and friends are going to the Nationals Game tomorrow night, and the retirement ceremony on Friday morning is in Arlington, VA. We found out that our family members are staying at the Embassy Suites at Reagan National Airport for the first night,as it is more centrally located for the first couple of activities. We tried to change our reservation, and this hotel told us we were past the 24 hr window for cancellation (by about 45 min) and told us we would be charged whether or not we stayed there. So we called the National Hilton number and told them our situation. They told us that if we called back, asked for the desk manager and told them the situation, and that we were Hilton Rewards Members and that both hotels were in the Hilton family, this hotel would most likely be more than happy to work with us and waive the first night without penalty We called back and asked for the manager, the manager was not in, so we told the lady that answered the phone our situation again, and everything the National Hilton number told us to tell them. She refused to waive the penalty and was very dismissive of us, We asked if she could work with us and she told us no, in a very petulant tone of voice. Needless to say, even though we like Hilton as a whole, next time we are in the area, we will be avoiding this hotel read more

I was brought here for a business trip and was a little ill at ease after reading the previous reviews. I can't complain too much about a free room, so I wasn't too worried about the service issues that others have voiced. Mostly because there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it. Yes, the location isn't wonderful BUT if you're stranded for a company event in the middle of nowhere without a rental car, it's actually quite convenient. There is a movie theater right next door and copious amount of shopping and eateries within walking distance. You could always sit in your room like a weirdo, if that's your thing. Upon checking in, I was greeted with a friendly face, despite the quick line that formed behind me. The front desk clerk - her name was Hope - was quite friendly and quickly checked me in. No issues. When I got to my room, I was pleasantly surprised. Very clean, very well decorated. I've stayed at corporate-paid-for hotels before and this one was by far the best. Clean comfortable furniture and a formal desk so I could do some office work. The bathroom was super clean and recently renovated - new modern tile and sink/vanity area. Neutrogena toiletries, I'm ok with that. The breakfast was pretty decent, for the complimentary continental variety. Waffles, fresh cut fruit for my oatmeal, surprisingly good coffee, hardboiled eggs, yogurt. They have a decent pantry item selection, in case you forgot stuff. They have a good amount of free parking. All in all, I'm not disappointed in my company for picking this spot. They obviously have fixed the customer service issues. read more

This is a nice hotel; the staff is pleasant and accommodating, even though they seemed to be very busy when I arrived. Room was very clean and tastefully laid-out. Also, it is in the same complex as a movie theater and casual restaurants; and very close to an outdoor mall with grocery store and shops. My only issue was with the air conditioner filter. As we were driving into Bowie MD after 4 hours on the road to the boat show in Annapolis we got an email stating that the Hampton Inn had canceled our reservation. They had a few rooms that flooded apparently. That's understandable, but what isn't acceptable is the way they just completely dismissed us. They took zero responsibility for trying to find us another hotel room and rushed us off the phone as quickly as they could. We had booked through Expedia and they said that meant they were not to do anything but that we had to call Expedia. But the email from Expedia to Hampton Inn clearly stated that the hotel was to rebook us somewhere else at another location. Nonetheless we called Expedia and they said no, this wasn't their problem but transferred us to the credit card company. So, we spoke to credit card company. They said nope we had to talk to the hotel. Mind you this was late on a Saturday afternoon, after a 4 hour ride (on my anniversary weekend) and we were getting the run around. I'd have just simply tried to book something else, but Annapolis had no rooms, and the surrounding area had no rooms either - but I had to do the searching because the hotel refused to help. In fact the front desk hung up on us when we tried to call them back and ask for help. Can you imagine being 4 hours into a trip and the hotel canceling and then hanging up and refusing to help? If we had canceled the reservation less than 4 days before prior to check in, the hotel would have kept our money and re-rented the room. But if they cancel the room they take no responsibility and wouldn't even lift a finger to help. Literally wouldn't lift a finger to search for alternative accommodations. Horrid. Horrid. Dirty.The rooms smell like a pet store, some smell like smoke. Noisy guests on weekends. The night audit, Darick of Dartrick (has dreadlocks) is the rudest person I have ever encountered. He acts as if you're bothering him when requesting assistance. He should not be working the front desk if interacting with guests bothers him so much. Per Hilton, the rooms are supposed to have a clean stay sticker on the door, ensuring proper sanitation. I was checked into one rooms that did not have that on the door or remote, additionally, there was pee in the toilet. He changed my room and gave me keys that did not work. When I came back to the desk he sighed very loudly. I told him these keys don't work, and I would like a room with the clean stay. He told me no and he was not going to keep doing this with me all night. I was so confused as to how you treat a Guest in this manner. Both rooms I stayed in were very updated and modern. Fridge and microwave in both rooms. Pull out sofa in king sized bed room was actually comfortable. Bathroom updated with neutrogena toiletries. Very nice. Free printing and computer use in the business center. Convenient to highway but no noise problems. I got a group rate at just over $100 and it was worth the money. This place was awful. Staff that worked there wasn't friendly, nice, or helpful at all. When we walked into the bedroom it was a poor looking room. The carpet was stained and looked like it had been there for 50 years. Bathroom wasn't kept very nice at all. The airconditioner was loud and obnoxious, and our room was also right next to the elevator. We only were at the hotel for maybe six hours and got maybe 1 hour of sleep. We got to the hotel around 2 and just needed a place to sleep for a little before we had to go to he naval graduation. They quoted us a price of 130 dollars...when we went to check out it was 147...then on our card it showed they were charging us 163 dollars!? Never will stay here again. read more

My plans changed past their cancellation policy, and even though I will be coming to the area in two weeks, they are insisting I pay $$400 for two rooms I won't be using tonight.
