The review that keeps on giving. My daughter turned her pillow around and this....

The receptionists are awful. You feel like you are bothering them when getting assistance. Cracking a smile might cause them pain. We are here with our cheer team for a competition and one of our coaches had to leave. When she arrived late last night, her room was not clean. There were Asian beetles (look like ladybugs) in her room, hair hanging from the ceiling and they refused to change her to another room. Offered to clean it but would not give her another room. Luckily there was a hotel next door which she switched to. Also, when they offered it was not in a nice customer friendly manner. They were rude just like this morning when I had to switch to a new reservation in person to make sure we were in the same room. Two woman at the desk and I stood there a couple minutes before I had to ask can someone help me. And neither one seemed to want to. Again felt like I was bothering them. The coffee maker in the room had no outlet near it. Kinda feel like driving home tonight. My back is killing me so the mattresses are crappy. Future note we won't stay here again.

White dots on the screen... hoping the new room I'm placed in doesn't have these!

What does a person have to do to get a TV that functions properly AND a clean room??? The first room I was given was room 401 the TV had 4 white lights that interfere with viewing. I called the front desk and was told many rooms have that feature and an upgrade is coming. I insisted that I try another room. I was given Room 323 which had throw up on the couch and bugs in the drawers among other dirt! Additionally, the door didn't close properly and there was dried blood near the lock! I was placed in Room 412 in which the carpet was extremely dirty and there was hair in one of the drawers in addition to the stains on the couch! Once again, I packed up all of my belongings and went downstairs to request another room. When I told the staff member what had happened, he replied that there are no other rooms so I would have to checkout. How is this good customer service? Luckily I recalled Room 401 with the broken TV. I requested to be put in that room because at least it was clean. The woman who had assisted me earlier seemed just as agitated as he did: as if it is my fault the rooms are EXTREMELY dirty! How is it acceptable for Hilton Staff Members to blame the customer/ patron? Having filthy carpets with stains throughout and insect repellent gathered in corners, along with bugs in the drawers, and VOMIT on the couches is completely appalling and unacceptable!!! At breakfast today, the staff member couldn't give me change for a $10 bill yet she collected cash from guests to eat!!! WHAT IS UP WITH THE HORRIBLE TREATMENT OF PATRONS? All I wanted to do was tip the waitress who everyone ignored!

A very nice area with a nice hotel. Extra great staff! The sleeping rooms were super comfy. The beds and pillows are top notch and clean new bathrooms. The venue was large and perfect for us, although a little dark. It stayed a warm in the room and the checkin area smelled like sulfur most of the day, but I'm sure that was just an issue they were having. The food was well put together and the cake they served was amazing. The gym had everything you need and nice looking pool. The breakfast however was extremely overpriced and under whelming. If I wasn't a Diamond member, I would have been pretty upset with $18 for what they provided. Over all a fairly solid A- for this location. 7/16

Proximity is what this hotel is about for me. I chose the Doubletree for a night because we were going to a U2 concert at FedEx field and this hotel was one of the closest. We drove up from Richmond, Virginia, and arrived at 12:30. We knew our room wouldn't be ready, but that wasn't a problem. We were trying to travel at odd times to avoid the D.C. Traffic, so left at 10ish. The employee checking us in was super friendly and really apologized that our room wasn't ready. Not a big deal...we were just happy to be out of the car and not stuck in traffic. We told her we'd go park in some comfy chairs around the corner. A little while later, she came to tell us the room was ready. From the outside, the hotel is not pretty. It's a basic chain, so there's no frills. On the inside, while it's nice enough, there's not much that is exciting. It's a place to sleep and that's pretty much it. The room has a small couch, desk, tv and stand, and a bed -- king sized for us. The walls must be pretty thin because I heard the conversation from the room next to us when we returned after the concert. The room also had a body odor smell, which kind of grossed me out. I couldn't sit on the couch because that seemed to have the most odor. For two adults, they only had two towels. Gosh, I sound picky. I think for $300 a night, in the area it's in, it's fine for something like one night for a concert or a football game. I wouldn't want to stay here for more than a night, though.

Checking into Doubletree Largo was nightmare. Takia the front desk clerk processed my card 3 times, 2 times in which my card was declined. She is juggling the phones and trying to assist other guests. So I had to call my bank to get it straight.(the payment posted and I had to show them) In the meantime another gentlemen comes to the front desk assists a guest and after he was finished, I had to ask him to assist since Takia was busy doing something else. I show him my payment and he goes to the back for at least 10 mins to speak to GM meanwhile I'm back with Takia asking are they going to accomodate me since they took my money. Her look of exasperation. The real hero is Julie from NFCU-she hung with me until this issue was resolved. Takia needs help at the desk, more training. Also, I ordered steak nachos.ABSOLUTELY horrible-the nachos were greasy and the had steakum meat. I ended up buying a small Digorno's pizza for $8. And to top it off-the room's heating system kept making an opening door sound all night. This has been one hell of a nightmare. Doubletree you missed the mark on this one. For my inconvenience, I was not offered anything to soothe over the mistake you made. I won't be coming back. It's something about Doubletree's standards that rub me the wrong way.

Residence Inn by Marriott Upper Marlboro Joint Base Andrews…read moreMy stay at this hotel was pleasant in terms of the room and comfort; however, the front desk experience and billing issue were extremely concerning and overshadowed the entire stay. Upon arrival, no staff was present at the front desk. When someone finally appeared, they failed to follow standard check-in procedures, including not requesting a credit card for incidentals, which is customary at Marriott properties. After three days, at the time of checkout, I was suddenly stopped by staff and treated as though I had done something wrong, despite the oversight being entirely on their end. I was then asked to place my card on hold for incidentals on the day of checkout, rather than at check-in. Weeks later, I discovered that $596.81 was charged to my card, even though the entire stay had already been paid for using Marriott points. This charge was not authorized as a room payment and was never clearly explained. As a result, I am now disputing the charge with my bank, and the process has taken weeks to resolve. While the physical stay itself was nice, the lack of professionalism, poor front desk management, and unresolved billing practices are unacceptable. Being treated like a criminal for an internal staff error, followed by an unexplained charge, has completely damaged my trust in this location. I strongly recommend that management review staff training, check-in protocols, and billing controls to prevent this from happening to future guests. This hotels charged me for the entire stay which is very disturbing to the highest extent. When I called the representative at the front said, "Nothing was taken out and I needed to call my bank." One star is way too generous.

I've worked at Marriott so I know the standard and I always stay at residence inns which are my fav hotels. There was a little push back from the manager on duty, but I believe the issue was resolved before we checked out after a two night stay. Always check your card before checking in, during your stay and after you check out... basically before you leave the hotel. Plenty of parking, never been an issue. Again, we stay here for the football games and usually secure parking with a parking pass. However, there is always another option at a fee that will provide round trip transportation. If you want to get your steps in, it's about a 30 minute walk. Also during our stay, the staff was scarce during dinner and breakfast hours. However, pack your patience, they will get you served as fast as they can. The food was good and filling. The adult beverages were limited, but something should be available to your liking. This one hasn't been here very long I believe but I think it was another hotel before it became an LQ. My checkin process was easy, there's plexiglass up at the desk, hand sanitizer in the lobby and social distancing being practiced. My opinion on the actual building : it was kind of run down looking but like I said I believe it was something else prior to being an LQ. My room. The room was a basic run of the mill hotel room you'd expect from a beltway-side chain. The room was clean and I believe it was one of the handicap rooms. (I don't recall asking for that one specifically but I'm guessing that's what was available). I got the king sized room with fridge and microwave. The bathroom is pretty large, there's a lot of floor space, the bed is comfortable and everything is in order. Upon inspecting the room I noticed the wall trim in the bathroom was peeling off the walls at the base board level. The ceiling in the room area about the bed had a spot like there was a hole cut there, and the bed had a few stains around the bed runner area at the bottom. I like the fact the floor was hard wood and not carpet. There's doors to access the adjacent rooms even though one of the doors is blocked by a nightstand table. The room could use an upgrade. But it's sufficient for a one night stay if that's what you need it for. I bought my dog with me and he enjoyed his stay. I can say there isn't much grass available for walking a dog unless you walk to the business next door but on hotel property, I didn't see much. I love LQ hotels but this one, not so much. Another caveat, the sheets appeared worn already. As if someone was laying in the bed and they just covered it with the comforter instead of changed it.

A hot food container that held sausage links, knockoff eggo waffles and weird egg patties, three cereal options and some juice. The eggs, waffles and sausage were cold. Completely cold.
