I love it here. This hotel is our go to hotel any time my husband and I are in town to watch the Washington Commanders. However, on our last stay, there was a hiccup. I usually book way in advance to reserve a room without penalty and there is no charge until check in. However, I was already charged before checking in. There was a little push back from the manager on duty, but I believe the issue was resolved before we checked out after a two night stay. Always check your card before checking in, during your stay and after you check out... basically before you leave the hotel. Plenty of parking, never been an issue. Again, we stay here for the football games and usually secure parking with a parking pass. However, there is always another option at a fee that will provide round trip transportation. If you want to get your steps in, it's about a 30 minute walk. Also during our stay, the staff was scarce during dinner and breakfast hours. However, pack your patience, they will get you served as fast as they can. The food was good and filling. The adult beverages were limited, but something should be available to your liking. This hotel has a great location but is run terribly. I just witnessed an irate customer with genuine concerns told to 'calm down' after he had experienced an hour long check in the day before, a tv that did not work, no hot water and a closed parking lot due to repairs. He had repeatedly asked for a manager but was told that the manager was in a meeting yesterday and again this morning. I am writing this because we share the same experiences with this guest. Lack of response to questions about housekeeping. I have been here 6 days and am just getting my room cleaned after more than 5 request. After the 2 request I asked a housekeeper if I could just have roll of toilet paper and some cleaner but I was told no because my room was not on her list. I have been a Bonvoy member for about 15 years and I have never I encountered the lack of customer service I have seen this week. I would love a follow-up from the manager- if they could get away from their "meeting". read more

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience 10/9-10/10. The room was not up to basic cleanliness standards. There was hair in the bed when I arrived, which immediately made me question how well the sheets had been cleaned. I called downstairs to get clean sheets the woman at the front desk was dismissive and cared nothing about my concerns. She was bundled up in a blanket and pajamas. The carpet had a strange odor, which lingered throughout the stay and made the room feel musty and unclean. I also noticed stains on the air filter or lamp not sure what it was , indicating it hadn't been properly maintained. To top it off, there were crumbs and debris in the corners and edges of the room, suggesting a lack of thorough housekeeping. Overall, I did not feel comfortable during my stay. For the price, I expected much better hygiene and upkeep. I also paid one price and when I got there had to pay 4 extra dollars because of a misquote on the website which never heard of and that isn't my fault I had already paid the original price. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves their cleaning standards. read more

It is a pretty clean and convenient and safe space with caring and friendly staff and a bar and restaurant and indoor pool - etc... nifty stuff. However - the ADA wheelchair accessible room was not ADA or super accessible. The door to the room was too heavy for me to enter or leave without calling for assistance - not good if there is an emergency. And the room itself - they tried, but light switches and wall plugs and other amenities were simply out of reach and furniture blocking wheelchair mobility. It was ok. The best thing about the hotel was the customer service given to us by Courtney. She was amazing. Outstanding. The room we stayed in seemed unfinished regarding the paint job and peeling wallpaper and not all the plug ins would work. The AC unit is under a shelf which made it hard to cool down the room. There is no continental breakfast. They told us we could eat at the Residence Inn next door but that felt weird and wrong. read more

Entering my review based on the restaurant at this Marriott. We had a long day and my husband wasn't feeling well so I went downstairs and ordered some food to take back to the room. The flatbread was overdone and tasted burnt, but I think it would have been good otherwise. The wings however were the best!! I asked for them to be well done and they were perfectly crispy, the sauce was tasty and it came with carrots and cucumber sticks. Nice presentation. Customer service in general has been steadily declining in all Marriott properties in the past few years (especially since the start of the pandemic) and this place is no exception. I'm lifetime platinum, so have been staying at Marriott's for many years. Front desk staff at this location is not interested in working-they sit in the back and you have to yell "hello?" To get anyone's attention. The restaurant wasn't open the evening I went down to eat. I checked out through the Marriott app and it told me they would send me a receipt. I thought great! After packing my bag I still hadn't received it, so I stopped by the front desk as I left to ask if they could email it to me, and I had to holler to the person in the back to get her to come out. She verified my email address and said she would email it, and I'm still waiting for it to be emailed five hours later. I called the Marriott 800 number and the robot that answers calls sent me a text telling me how to get it online, but I have to wait 48 -72 hours. They aren't staffing human beings anymore. This behavior tells me Marriott does not value business travelers who have to file ON TIME expense reports. Cannot talk to an actual human being on the phone to get a receipt, cannot get a receipt from the actual property itself by a staff member, and no one from the front desk responded to the chat through the app that I initiated. The Marriott app lets you make reservations through it, but redirects you to the website for everything else-it's totally useless. At least the room was clean. I will give you a piece of advice: Stay at Hilton properties. They treat you like you are a valued human being/customer, you don't have to talk to a robot, you will get a receipt, and the Hilton app is actually useful. read more

My family and I really enjoyed our one night stay here! The location is perfect for the Redskins games (for Uber-ing, not walking), restaurants and shopping. The front desk, two different women, I wish I had gotten their names :( were so nice! They were definitely busy with check-ins because apparently they were sold out this weekend, but check-in was smooth and she (the employee) was just so nice and helpful! Our room was very clean including the bathroom which was a really nice setup. Our boys enjoyed the pool, towels were provided in the pool area and it was all clean and not overly chlorinated smelling. There was plenty of seating and I didn't feel grossed out to sit in any of the chairs (lol). The hotel included free basic (email, web browsing) WiFi or premium (streaming) for $4/day, which we stayed with the basic and it was perfectly fine for our boys iPads. We didn't have time for breakfast which was around $10/person. The bar/restaurant seemed really nice and upscale. We will definitely stay at this hotel again! read more

After filing my complaints, I was contacted by the Hotel manager, Freddy. Freddy apologized and refunded me for one night of a 2 week stay from hell. I was also given Marriott points that helped to compensate. I also received an email from from Corporate, which I appreciated. I've been asked to give them another try. This is or shall I say WAS a preferred hotel of mine to just get away for a day or two. Being a caregiver as well As having fibromyalgia, sometimes you need a break and much needed rest. The last time I came the bar/restaurant wasn't open due to low occupancy as was the same this stay. What bothered the hell out of me was housekeeping knocking on my door at 10am and check out is 12. I called the front desk, the young lady apologized and stated check out is 12. I know this. At 12:02 they knocked on my door again. I was finishing getting dressed. You would have thought they were booked, but still no excuse. When I got to the unstaffed front desk with phones ringing off the hook. I had to wait. You would think as anxious as they were to get me out of the room, they would be standing there at their post. I had to ask the gentleman when he came out was everything okay as they are giving off Motel 6 vibes. I explained my issue and this man had the nerve (Hispanic with glasses I didn't get his name) to tell me he would and agrees they should start knocking on doors at 10am as well. WHAT?!?! WHY WHEN CHECK OUT IS 12?? Then he answers the phone and keeps me standing at the desk to check out AND I'm a Bonvoy member which apparently doesn't really mean anything. I was so annoyed with him I told him to add my dayum Voss water and email me and walked away. I will definitely be using a different property to get away and relax my mind. This irritated me to no end and I still haven't received my receipt. Also I booked online through Marriott's app and was given my total. Got there (he also checked me in) and the total was $30 more... Not to mention, I own a travel agency. I give a lot of recommendations and book places for my clients to stay here in the area. Guess what? Some things I can overlook, but what if I sent a guest here and this is the treatment they got? read more

The Courtyard by Marriott Largo-Capital Beltway, is in a convenient and easily accessible location. It is less than 10 miles from Washington, DC and 15 miles from the National Harbor. It is also near a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, including FedEx Field and the outlet mall. The rooms are new, clean, well decorated and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were nice and comfy. The staff was friendly and nice to talk to. Unfortunately, they were well understaffed in many areas of the hotel (most notably, the restaurant/bar area)and the current staffing model needs to be reassessed. Waited each morning for a simple cup of coffee. Employees were in the back, prepping for the day or making another customers breakfast, while the customers at the counter were being made to wait for a very long time, with a feeling of being ignored. read more

My first stay was pretty good and uneventful. My next almost stay was a totally different experience. I requested an early check in and arrived around 10am since there was a 1pm game. I received a msg saying my room was ready at 10:30am. I went to the front desk and she said that it was an automated msg and my room was not ready.I returned to my car and placed my bag back in the car. I went to the game and when i returned my car window was busted and my bag was gone. I realize I shouldn't have left my bag on the seat but their lot should be more secure. My car wasn't the only car hit. There were at least 8 cars that I know of. They let me cancel my reservation at no charge (Thanks) as I had decided to drive the 5hrs back to NC since I couldn't secure my car and the lot wasn't safe. read more

I actually wrote a horrible review the first time, and felt guilty..... Because workers are scarce and EVERY business is struggling to find employees. Rooms were great, and sure I woke up to only decaf, but fortunately I had brought my own freeze dried regular. You might not get any maid service, but let's be real.... Mass quittings, retirements, etc..... Would YOU want to be a maid? So what if you have to make your own bed, and go to the front desk to get regular coffee in the morning. It builds character to do things for yourself. The cafe staff was ABSOLUTELY amazing. Whatever money you are saving from not being able to find maids, should go to THEM. I have food allergies, and they were SOOO accommodating. Having a restaurant in the establishment with staff and cooks that accomodated my dietary restrictions was invaluable to me. Most hotels would have merely had a continental morning breakfast.... Which I cannot eat. read more

My very favorite place to stay when visiting the area! Staff are always super welcoming, professional and extra helpful. The facilities are immaculate and guest friendly. Free fresh baked cookies and lemon water greeted me this past Mother's Day weekend! I arrived at 11am and was checked in (despite the 3pm check-in). The Fitness Center is great too! Ultra clean; new equipment with TV monitors and hermetically sealed ear buds... just about anything a guest might need! read more

I travel frequently for work and usually stay at a Marriott property - mostly Courtyards. I've stayed at this location several times, and it is without a doubt the best courtyard I've ever stayed at. The location is awesome. It's away from a main road and out of the city so you don't hear any cars passing by from your room. It shares a parking lot with a residence inn (which also looks nice) and parking is never hard to find. The hotel is newer. It's perfect for business travel or for leisure. Check in is simple - I typically do mobile check in and as a platinum Marriott member, I'm offered a free food or beverage from the market (alcohol excluded obviously). Sound proof is pretty good at this hotel. The doors close lightly which hardly make noise unlike most hotels where you'll hear the door slam. The staff is nice, and the hotel is well managed. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is nice and I love that the shower has glass and not a shower curtain. The shower water pressure is perfect, but the water pressure from the sink is a little light. Breakfast was really good. I'll definitely stay here again. read more

I loved this location! Close to some restaurants and close to my work events. The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and my room was clean and modern. I only stayed for one night, but will likely stay again if I am in the area. I did see that others noted a slow service at the cafe in the morning, and I do have to agree although I feel as though I never expect fast, carry-out service from their cafes since they do not have a large staff and it is typically one person doing everything. I wish that the Courtyard Marriotts would have free breakfast like some of their counterparts... read more

The second best thing was how close it is to the horse show! Will I stay here next year? Only if I am staying by myself. First of all, the pictures they have on here don't do their hotel lobby justice. This is a really nice hotel. We stayed here for a night after having an emergency at our home. I was very pleased with the accommodations and how clean it was. And quiet. We stayed at another hotel down the street the night before and there were teenagers running up and down the hallways on our floor and the one above us in the wee hours of the morning. Needless to stay I would only stay here again if I had to get a nearby hotel again. The food at the bar cafe was really good too. And they also have a nice pool and ample parking. I stayed at this hotel for only one night. I have pretty high status at Marriott from work travel, so check in was a breeze. One star loss for the front desk staff. Super bothered that I was there. This is not typical of my Marriott stays, so I really didn't care. Check your attitude, Lele. The lobby area is your typical Courtyard, set up for folks like me who travel for business to be comfortable, grab a quick bite, and offer lots of space to work if you'd like to do so outside of your room. As I was walking to my room, I noticed a missing ceiling panel and a hallway that needed to be vacuumed. I wondered what my room would look like if the hallway was a mess. I was actually VERY impressed. The room was spacious, and ultra modern. The bathroom was bigger than I'm used to at a Courtyard. Overall I was pleased with my stay and would stay again. read more

I was very disappointed in my stay here. The room service neglected most details. Never refilled the coffee or personal care sundries. My sheets were crumpled up under a tucked in comforter. The absolute worst part about my stay was the café. They have no system in place to handle more than one order at a time. If you need to get out in the morning, go downstairs to order EARLY or you may miss your chance to eat. The only saving grace is that the help is super nice. read more

I checked into this hotel on 5/3 to stay and prepare for a professional photoshoot which was on 5/4. While staying at the hotel I had one encounter with the operations manager - Andrew Gordineer in which I asked for a later check out time. The rate for my room was $180 and the final cost was $203.40 after fees and taxes. I received two invoices, one for 203.40 at 1:49PM and one for 453.40 at 1:53 PM on Saturday, May 4th. After the charge for $453.40 posted to my bank account, I called on 5/7 to question the hotel regarding the extra charges. The receptionist told me that I was charged $250 extra as we had smoked in the room. I explained to the receptionist that there was no smoking going on in my room whatsoever and requested proof of these accusations. She proceeded to put the manager on the phone who stated he (Andrew Gordineer - Operations Manager) was the one who checked the room following our stay and stated he saw ashes in the window and on the desk in the room which he checked at 2 PM. It's interesting that he checked the room at 2PM and I was invoiced prior to that time. In addition, the makeup artist had not finished packing up in the room and did not depart until 2:05 in which no one entered the room at 2 PM. Andrew then told me, I could speak to the General Manager about the situation. He the forwarded me to his voicemail. I left a voicemail and then called back to see when the operations manager and general manager would be leaving for the evening but I was given the run around. So I took it upon myself to drive to the actual location. I arrived at the hotel and sat and spoke with the General Manager - Roberto Perez. During our conversation, he stated that they were confident that someone had smoked in the room I stayed in and they had proof. He stated that they had pictures and the room smelled like smoke. I asked to see these pictures and for them to be forwarded to my email. Mr. Perez showed me three pictures, one in which they stated there was "weed" picture on the table, one in which the window was opened and water was in the window seal along with what they are claiming to be ashes, and the last picture of the window seal where what they claimed there are ashes in the seal. The problem with this is.... the pictures are not pictures from the room I stayed in...there pictures from a room on the complete opposite side of the hotel (near the Marriott Residence Inn), the day I checked out it was NOT raining... the pictures shows that it was raining and lastly we DID NOT smoke in our room. Further, the time date stamp on the pictures are from Sunday, May 5th at 2:30 PM.... we checked on Saturday May 4th. I pointed these things out to the General Manager and he LIED yet again stating that our room was not on the opposite side of the hotel even when we stepped outside together to look at the landmarks indicating these pictures are of a different room. I will say this incident felt VERY targeted as my room was full of African American woman. I don't believe people of another race would be accused of these kinds of accusations. The General Manager - Roberto Perez was very unapologetic and continued to be accusatory. Marriott states that they require that its business be conducted with honesty and integrity, and in full compliance with all applicable laws. Based on what I experienced at this hotel, they do not operate in such fashion and lack integrity/honesty. Even after being proven wrong, Roberto NEVER apologized for the accusations of him and his staff along with the fact that they were wrong. Be aware of this hotel!!! They will charge your card additional charges and will NOT inform you. If you call they will give you the run around and constantly send you to VM. Be aware they will flag your honest review to try and have it removed as well! read more

There is a lack of communication at this location regarding customers, for example, they don't clean your room every day unless you ask for it, you should let customers know this upfront rather than let days go by and no one cleans your room. One of the managers tried to overcharge me over my group rate, the electricity in the rooms was not working properly, instead of moving me to another room that had all of the amenities working management tried to bandage my situation and leave me in that room with a temporary solution. Several of the staff members were great but the one Latino/ Spanish manager did not know what he was doing, you need to watch him. I had to go to the front desk over 5 times because my door key wasn't working properly therefore I could not enter my room, the internet was down half of the time morning and at night, I had to leave to go to another hotel and use their internet. Overall it was a bad experience, I will not be back here to stay. There needs to be a change in leadership at this location. read more

I didn't originally book this hotel, but on the day I was supposed to check into my reservation at the Greenbelt Marriott, they discovered they overbooked my room and rebooked me at the Courtyard Marriott in Largo. I checked in at the front desk to find out that the paperwork between the Greenbelt & Largo Marriotts got jumbled, which resulted in me not having a room, again. However, Augustus, the Operations Manager was kind enough to find me a room within 10 minutes. The A/C is broken, but after being delayed for an hour at the airport and arriving in MD at 9 PM, I agreed. I sincerely appreciate the kindness that Augustus and his team showed in the light of Greenbelt Marriott's error. If I ever need to stay in the Largo area, I will happily book this hotel. The lobby is gorgeous, the halls and rooms are newly renovated and clean. read more

I booked for 3 nights 10/26 -10/29 but left early after some very awful customer service from management. Here is my list of grievances: 1. Assistant Manager Fernando and Norris refuses to honor our breakfast vouchers which were given to us when we checked in. They acted like we stole them by their line of questioning. 2. Norris tried to kick us out after one night threatening to bring security to have us escorted off the property even though I clearly paid for 3 nights and did not request to check out from the front desk. 3. When I spoke to her on the phone about it she lied and say I only booked one night. 4. During the phone conversation she rudely hang up on me. 5. When I went to the front desk to talk to her she brought a man there with a mean look on his face looking like he's ready to fight me. It was an unnecessary intimating tactic. 6. While speaking to hear about her unprofessionalism and me being an unsatisfied customer she laughed. 7. When I told her I reported her to the corporate office case #81934088 she said she doesn't care if she get fired because this is just her second job to pay credit card bills. 8. The Courtyard by Marriott-Largo Capital Beltway is an outstanding hotel w/ a stellar staff. As someone who travels often, I've had an opportunity to stay in many brands and levels of hotels, and this hotel did not disappoint. In true Courtyard fashion, the hotel's ambiance is modern and chic, and caters both to the business and leisure traveler. I was checked in by the Asst. General Manager, Augustus Jackson, and his demeanor and professionalism is unrivaled. He has a great sense of humor, too. He ensured that I was placed in a room that catered to my specific needs and even followed up once I was checked into the room. (5 stars). The building engineer, Richard, was very pleasant and took the extra effort to walk to the front desk to welcome me. This further improved my opinion of the hotel and staff. The rooms are beautiful, yet slightly smaller than I would have preferred. While the love seat is a beautiful addition, it's very impractical considering the size of the room. The bathrooms are large and very well lit. In conclusion, I will remain a loyal Marriott member, and will patronize this Courtyard whenever possible. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would--or maybe just the front desk staff. I had just gotten off a plane, it was late and I didn't feel like driving home; I just wanted a place to sleep. I'd been calling hotels and driving, so I may have called this hotel back-to-back, seeking a room. The front desk person, Roderick, was unprofessional and rude. He answered the phone laughing and said he didn't understand my question. Ummmm the question was, "Is there any availability, tonight?" If he can't understand that, I don't know what to say. That said, an argument ensued. I stopped at the hotel just to get his name. I will definitely follow up with corporate, because I have never had such asshole treatment from a CYM! Although rooms are small, the staff are all professional. Including the housekeeping staff. I've stayed here three times and each time was a pleasure. Very clean. I left the room twice in one morning and housekeeping was cleaning the elevators... Mopping up wet floors from a rainy day. I went out and returned late only to find a security officer sitting in the hallway. He was pleasant and it assured me that the safety of guest was paramount. And there was one on every floor.
