Terrible Experience - Unsafe, Unclean, and Full of Scams I booked a stay here based on a good location and photos that looked great. Big mistake. The room smelled like urine, the toilet seat was dirty, and there were stains on the couch. But the real shock came when I put my bags on the table and saw roaches scatter. The place had a serious infestation--roaches everywhere: ceiling, cabinets, even baby roaches. What's worse is that the entire property felt unsafe. People were hanging around the parking lot doing drugs, and there were homeless individuals wandering the grounds. It was impossible to feel comfortable, and I definitely didn't feel like my things were safe from being contaminated by the roaches. I reached out to the hotel staff, but they just sent me to a text line and stopped responding after I sent pictures of the issues. I ended up contacting Expedia and had to find another place immediately. The $150 non-refundable deposit is a scam--they keep it no matter what, even if the room is uninhabitable. The hotel is dirty, unsafe, and poorly managed. If you want to feel secure and stay in a clean, functional place, do not book here. I'm still disputing the charges and recommend everyone stay far away from this property. read more

My husband and I stayed here.for little over month while looking for a new rental. I was first taken back by early checking in fee of $50 but office staff and security on duty made.me forget about that. First tess and office manager were more then helpful when ch3cking in. I booked off booking.com for a week at first but after that we paid at desk as they gave a better rate and honestly I enjoyed conversation. Our first.day we had.issue with our code not working and both office staff and Eddie, which BTW was amazing!!!, we're on it and didn't walk away until we got into our room. Only downside was roaches however I understand older buildings have these issues however as always staff were quick to offer another room but also came and sprayed and left spray with us. If you stay on top of this you won't have any issues. Area isn't greatest and.drugs have ruined.alkt of phx but 24hr security was great! Eddie gave us his cell if any issues came up and thankfully never did. All in all for area and price was a.please t atay. We did rent the 1bdrm and honestly the bed was super comfy and.even after stripping it and inspecting, no bed bugs, mattress looked brand new. Three stars feels generous but they did give me an upgraded room and $40 off the bill because the first room they put me in had been smoked in. The place just feels run down. The rooms smell musty and the hallways just smell. Yes, they have free breakfast... but 2 of my 4 days they had no orange juice. I stay at a lot of Marriott properties all across the country. I will have to say this one is way below what I expected, what I wanted and certainly NOT what I prefer or am use to. The staff was friendly but the hotel and actual room itself is run down, out dated and just not what I like to stay at when traveling. We stayed here for two nights and it was a decent hotel. We stayed in a suite that had a full kitchen but the two bed (not bedroom) layout was kind of weird. When you walk in the living room is to the right and the kitchen to the left. Straight ahead is the stairs to the loft. The loft has a bed with an open wall above the living room and a bathroom. Downstairs next to the living room is a Murphy bed and another bathroom. I thought the beds were comfortable but the pull out couch bed was a joke. The place was well maintained although old. The pool was 80 degrees which was nice because it was cold out. There is a basketball court, small playground and a fire pit lounge area. Breakfast was surprisingly well, except the cold hard boiled eggs. The down side to this place depends on your room. It is right next to the 17 freeway so I imagine if your room was up front it would be loud. read more

Stayed here for a couple of days. Wasn't to bad. A little outdated, rooms were clean, no bugs. But our room had a weird smell to it. First we thought it was gas, one of staff came to the room and said it wasn't gas because nothing there is gas in the suites... all electric lol. They did offer to change our rooms though, we decided to just stay there. Our keys to the room didn't always work, they literally gave us new keys 5 times... Hotel offers free breakfast and coffee in the morning in the lobby. We tried it one morning, not bad, but nothing great. The pineapple was perfect There is a pool and fire pit outside. No jacuzzi, was bummed about that. There are a ton of birds where we were at, room 1013. Those birds were loud AF up at like 4 AM. Sounds cool at first, like your in a tropical place in the desert. Then it gets old. Staff cleans the walk ways in the morning, to get all the bird shiet off. Can be very slippery afterwards, just FYI. Place is not in the best areas. I wouldn't go for evening stroll unless you're packing...pew pew haha So after day 1 I realized what that smell in the room was, cat piss. Like when they spray... probably someone who had their pet there. The front desk ladies were super helpful and friendly. Not sure if I would stay here again...but for the price...I don't know. So, not all Marriott properties are the same. This one is on the lower end. And you know it. The location is convenient but dodgy. It's a dark place and there are some sketchy corners that aren't well lit. There were kids playing unattended in the parking lot. The rooms are dark and dated - might've been a nice hotel a decade ago. The furniture looked worn and the room had an air of old. Didn't use shower while I was there. The bed was fine. My wife hated it. The kitchen wasn't completely outfitted - no bowls, no can opener, no cutting board (gimme a break it's a residence inn I'm staying here because I want my own kitchen and not rely on restaurants for every meal). But, the stove worked great. Both the range and the oven did what they were supposed to. I burnt some olive oil in too hot of a pan and the vent cleared the room fast. The WiFi was spotty and didn't work most of the time. The lights didn't work sometimes. They turned off on their own. We decided to stay only one night and moved to a different hotel. read more

This hotel staff works very hard to overcome location issues and a older product. Getting here with traffic can be a real chore but when the city sells out you do what you need to get a decent room Customer service is excellent and many nice little touches especially if your a rewards Member. They keep the facility clean and rooms are well maintained Hard to find your first time traveling and the GPS might do your wrong. The have a great restaurant within walking distance called Bobby Q and I will rate that one next. Outstanding dinner there at the bar. read more

From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. Two wonderful ladies were working at the front desk greeted me with spectacular smiles, incredible senses of humor; and full of life personalities, checked me in. If my memory serves me correctly, the younger lady's name was Allyson, and the other nice lady's name was Julie. The night before, I was a guest at the Tucson Hilton. Very high-end Hotel. It just didn't compare to my more humble, less-glitzy experience at the Residence Inn. The Residence Inn bi-level Suite is quite large because it has a second, separate bedroom upstairs. For the rate, you just cannot find more beautiful hotel accommodations. Nonetheless, regardless of the size of the room you stay at any hotel, it's certainly the people who welcome you when you arrive, that can make your stay a total nightmare, or truly spectacular from the moment you check-in, until the moment you check-out. Allyson and Julie will certainly and astoundingly exceed all of your expectations. Truly a spectacular experience at this Residence Inn in Phoenix. Sadly, there just aren't enough Allyson's & Julie's out there within the entire Hotel planet. read more

This is a pretty descent hotel to stay at. I travel a lot for work (currently on 3rd Marriott this week) and this location is pretty typical and what I expect as a business traveler. The part of the city this location is in really isn't that great but I didnt have any problems but I wouldn't want to be out at night down some of the side streets. The check in, check process was easy, my companies credit card was on file and charged accordingly with no problems. Every Marriott has a similar breakfast and this one is by far the best I've had. The ladies running it were friendly and attentive to the crowds that were there in the mornings. The eggs were cooked well, sausage was as well and this is the first time I feel the eggs were cooked right. After so many trips I almost dread opening the warming dish but this time it was right. On a funny side note the walls seem a bit thin and my neighbor was having a fantastic time, enough so my bed was shaking through the wall. that's a little closer to the action than I want to be, but hey its a hotel what can you do. read more

I usually stay here when I travel for work. Marriott is one of my company's "preferred" hotel chains. Our Phoenix office is literally 5 minutes away. The only reason I stay here is because it's convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer complimentary breakfast, which is average. They also have an evening social hour and provide food on certain nights. But, the options aren't appealing to me. There's a small pool and outdoor patio area with a little fire pit. The condo-converted rooms may be older, but they're clean. They do smell a bit musty. There's a full kitchen. The appliances and kitchen items seem fairly new and appear barely used. If you plan on using the oven, turn on the vent. It may have that plastic-y new oven smell, when in use.They do have plates, cups and cutlery, as well as hand towels and kitchen mitts. But, they do not provide coffee filters, baking pans and I don't even remember seeing pans to cook with. My biggest gripe is the "free wifi" is just crap. A whole lotta crap. I've even attempted to add the "enhanced wifi" for $5 a night and I got connection errors. I'm here for work and that means I may need to pull extra hours on my laptop. I would like to do it from the comfort of my hotel room, but I can't. How is work possible when the standard connection seems to drop every 5 minutes and I get connection errors, when I try for the enhanced wifi? The hotel complex itself is located in a dark and sketchy neighborhood and it's right next to the freeway. My last night there, I woke up at 1 AM to the sound of 5 gun shots, which sounded as if they were a few blocks away. Five minutes later a helicopter was searching over the hotel complex and the apartment complex next door. Kinda reminded me of the old 'hood I grew up in.... Uh....thank goodness I double-locked my doors...? Thanks, Residence Inn for such an exciting stay! Hopefully future rounds won't be so...um, eventful..... =P read more

We stayed at this marriott mid March of this year while we attended a huge conference at the JW Marriott. This was quite a surprise First do not get discouraged when you see their wonderful old style buildings and rooms compressed on such a small piece of property and so close to busy roads . We arrived late, so the selection of rooms was limited. Our room was close to the road but it was quiet once inside. Parking was tight but there is a space for everyone. With such limited land you don't have the wonderful manicured lawns trees but, you have my favorite old style large rooms with wonderful full kitchens. I needed a full oven because immediately following our meetings we were driving 2 days to be guests of a family on a special old Native American reservation. I promised to bring them a huge complete Japanese beef teriyaki dinner with home made toasted almond basmati rice w fresh parsley. And I hand carried on the plane a dozen frozen French buttercream iced chocolate ( w Choco ganache centers) cupcakes from our favorite bakery ( turtle bread) in minneapolis -- iridescent sparkle on the blush pink icing some had fresh orchids-- their cupcake of the month. It took me 3 days of shopping prepping then cooking in my hotel kitchen. The staff was OUTSTANDING. Pots pans. Some ingredients. They must have thought me crazy cooking such a huge meal ( to feed 10) in my room!! Wonderful cleaning staff. Some of the best breakfast creations I have ever had at any residence inn. And the young gentleman ( Miguel?) who checked us in at midnight helped us unload our car ( we were exhausted). It is the STAFF who make this compressed complex of buildings a great experience. Price was also excellent. Proximity convenience to the JW Marriott driving back and forth rush hour etc. ( back roads) was very easy, faster than expected. Staff were all warm genuine big smiles, friendly happy ( ESP kitchen staff) with their jobs. They fed an ARMY/ avalanche of people each day. Cooking madly trying to keep up with demand. With so much business and traffic of guests they kept the facility very clean and free of any odors ! (I have a super sensitive nose. Do not like dirty hotels). If they had more land space were not so close to the highway and in a slightly better area I would have given them 5 stars. MARRIOTT SENIOR MNGT needs to help this hotel -- freshen up the interiors-- huge guest traffic!!! We will definitely return. And book early . (PS. Such a nice hotel. I really do like it here. Read my previous review :) Door was fine in the room we had. Bed was just as comfortable as last time. CLEAN! You get a choice between feather or foam pillows. Didn't realize that last time. One complaint though... Check out is at 12 I believe. So, you want to sleep & stay as long as possible. You put your "Do not disturb" sign out. 10am the maid comes a-knocking. Are you effing kidding me?! You open the door & ask her what she wants. She points to the sign hanging on your door. REALLY?! 2 words: BED BUGS! We had barely checked in when we noticed the little bugs crawling around the bed. When we told the front desk, all we got was a dry apology. They offered to move us to a different room but there was no guarantee that there would be no bugs. The employee that was supposed to inspect the room to make sure that there wasn't an infestation, but he had no idea what he was looking for. I took a flyer on this hotel since each room had a full kitchen, but I regret my decision mostly except for one amazing fact: their free buffet breakfast is phenomenal! Cons: * Could hear every footstep from the floor above. Stay on the second floor if you don't have too much luggage. * No mat for shower. A mat is something that can be sterilized but when there is no mat, you're forced to wear flip-flops or not take a shower. * The Wi-fi very slow and very spotty. If you absolutely need a strong wifi connection, please go elsewhere. We found that it was easier to connect using a PC or Android device. We have a MacBook Pro, iPhone 6S, and two iPod 6th-gen devices and all of them had trouble getting internet. I was able to create a hotspot using my Galaxy - which actually worked pretty well. * Odd layout for the sleeper sofa. We had to move furniture around just to open the pull-out bed. * Front door didn't shut all the way. Double-check your door is actually locked when leaving. * The rooms show their age and definitely need a make-over. * The area is terrible. Lots of homeless around. It's nerve-wracking. Next time I need to stay here, I'll pick a place 20 min away. Pros: * The breakfast buffet is fantastic. We had sausages, biscuits & gravy, hash browns, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, chorizo, scrambled eggs, ham, milk, coffee, OJ, apple juice, toast, oatmeal, waffles. I mean it's basically a tiny Denny's...and it's included in your hotel price. * The kitchens are fully stocked with glasses & dishes. * Next door to Bobby Q's - a very popular BBQ restaurant. * The staff is very friendly, especially the folks staffing the buffet. I had such a wonderful experience at this hotel. I spent 2 nights in a studio that was very nicely decorated and furnished, and quite comfortable. My only complaint would be that the air conditioner is very loud, but many hotels tend to have louder units. Admittedly I didn't walk around much, but the grounds appeared lush and well maintained. They offer a fantastic breakfast each morning that includes meat, eggs, make your own waffles, toasts, hot and cold cereals, fresh fruits, yogurts, etc. Monday-Wednesday nights they also host an event called The Mix in the evening. Tuesday night they served complimentary hamburgers and beverages (soda, water, beer and wine). Wednesday night it was meatball sandwiches with a fresh salad and watermelon, and beverages again included. It was a perfect dinner after a filling touristy lunch out. I have to mention that the neighborhood is sketchy and may concern you as you drive up. Once I was on the property I felt comfortable and it didn't bother me as the property is slightly secluded on a small one Way road. I would not hesitate to stay here again. read more

The hotel is next to the hwy 17, didn't hear one bit of noise. I was next to the pool...you do hear some of the pool activity...but after 10pm all quiet! The grounds are kept clean. The staff was nice and helpful. The room has the usual dated carpet. Everything else in the room was updated and clean. The full kitchen was nice. I would definitely stay here again! read more

First off I would like to say happy New Year "2018". I would like to give my feedback on our stay here. I can't complain (nobody listens & when they do, they don't care), the penthouse room & fireplace (that by the way we did't use) is pretty decent. The room is spacious & clean. It has two beds, one downstairs & one upstairs, plus a pull out sofa bed. Two bathrooms, two tv's, fully loaded kitchen, including a dishwasher. There's one thing, if you're used to non stick pans bring your own. The pans here are not good quality but doable for warming up tortillas LOL. Also there is a grill on site just walking distance from the room that sure came in handy (you will need a lighter). This is a great room for a family of six. My kids enjoyed their stay. Overall we had a great experience, great customer service, pretty quiet around the premises just the freeway noise but not bad at all. Breakfast is served from 6 to 9 am so wake up early. What a wonderful Residence Inn Marriott hotel. The check in process was soo easy from the Marriott app. The front desk staff were very professional and friendly, which made check in & check out a breeze. The suite was clean & fresh. Our queen sized bed was comfy and clean. They have a pool, conference rooms and playground. Even though it's a pet friendly hotel, the grounds and the rooms dont reflect negatively of it. Next time we stay here well have to bring our four legged family member. Its location has a variety of local dining, shopping and more nearby. They have a very nice and fresh breakfast served daily. Also on some nights, they offer social events to mingle & make your stay more pleasant. We definitely recommend this location for current/future stays. Our first time here, will not be our last. Clean two story property near the Grand Canyon University. Central A/C. Only thing tjat bothered me the most was.... When someone was walking on the floor above, it ia so loud that I can no long continued to sleep. Also, when u turn the water for the shower, noise from the pipe is fairly loud. It has small kitchen with cook tip dish washer and plates. Kinda triky to find since you have to make loop around to get to the one way street. This Residence Inn is a little hard to find, even though it is right off I-17 and Northern. It is on a one-way frontage road, so you have to come from the north of Northern Avenue and slide down the frontage road to get to it. It is on hotel row for this area, just a mile form the Metro Center, and a bunch other hotels on eaither side of the freeway. It is a typical Residence Inn. It is a group of about 20 low rise 2 story buildings. Parking is adequate and nearby your door. Inside, this member of the Marriott chain is known as an extended stay type hotel, with a 2 room suite, which includes about 600 sq ft of space. There is a full kitchen, with 4 burner stove, full fridge, microwave and dishwasher, all in new stainless steel, with marble counter tops and a wood/linoleum floor. Full dishes, glasses and utenzils are available like home. This one is pretty new, with clean, unstained furniture in fresh condition. There are also not 1, but 2 black 42 inch LG flat screen TVs., one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The living room has a desk, 2 seat dining table, a lounge chair and a small sofa with sofa bed. There is a door between the rooms, so if you wanted to have the kids along, you can still keep your sanity in the other room. Depending on time of year, this R.I. is a good value, costing about $100/night, which includes a free breakfast, evening hospitality hour, free Wi-FI internet, and free parking. This little one bedroom, if it was a condo near downtown San Francisco, would be a million dollars! If you really want to save money, you can go next door to Motel 6, and pay $40/night for a single person! Just ignore the riff raff! read more

We usually stay at the LaQuinta in Scottsdale when we're in town. Since we had to be at the courthouse early in the morn I booked a room for mom and I at the LaQuinta on Thomas. Bad Idea. When I pulled up, felt like I was bringing my mom along with me on an early evening drug score at the local dingey motel. But it was LaQuinta! We were outta there with the quickness! Drove up the 17 a couple exits and saw the Residence Inn and my mom practically turned the steering wheel herself and yelled, "GET OFF HERE!!" Just kidding. We were anxious for a comfortable room, safe place.. and we were starving! Our AAA rate dropped us down 40 bucks. LaQuinta only knocked off 10.. which still would've costed about $99. For that dive?!?! There were white picket fences around the AC boxed outside the room which added a comfy-cozy touch to the place. The room was a cute studio with a kitchen. They even go grocery shopping for you! Breakfast was the works. Sausage, waffles, scrambles, fruit... none of that continental carbo breakfast crap. Comfortable atmosphere, cozy rooms, great night sleep before a stressful day. Thank you, Residence Inn! To top it all off, our court-case concluded victorious! Yippeeee! read more

I want to thank the staff and especially the front desk staff for accommodating me so well. I reserved this hotel site a few days before I got here, I was a little skeptical with the reviews I had read. I don't doubt that these things took place especially with pictures as proof.when I arrived the front desk staff is very polite, they assigned me a room, After I had requested a specific area and I went to it. I want to check out the room and it wasn't quite accommodating, you might say. I went back to the front desk and requested a new room and explained why. They did not question me because of my explanation, it was in the far south 40 and I questioned the distance from everything and everyone. It was early to check-in so they asked me if I would come back in about an hour and a half more rooms would be available. I did so. Upon return I was assigned another room but with great disappointment, it was not cleaned. The bed was not made and there was still food in the kitchenette. Once again I return to the front desk and explained the situation, once again I was given another room. I opened the door and to my amazement it was a larger studio, clean, and inviting. The bed was very comfortable, I stayed here for two nights with all the comforts of home and someone else fixed breakfast for me. :-) Yes, if I come back this way I will most definitely stay here again. Again, I would like to thank the staff at the front desk, very kind and accommodated my needs and my wants for a specific room type, It most definitely met my expectations. NOT a fan of North PHX.. not this area off of the 17..it's shady and not the best area. AS in.. you wouldnt venture out late at nite here. BUT this hotel is a good save. I had the penthouse via a friend. Loved it. Fridge..micro..full cooking facilities.. an upstairs and a downstairs with 2 baths and bedrooms.. completely made my stay in PHX this week a good, happy thing. The gym stinks tho. One treadmill and some weights. A full service hotel needs more than that. We were sent down the way to La Fitness for a complimentary workout. My room had a broken coffee maker, but that was quickly fixed. Has to be.. I cant live without my coffee. Front desk is nice. Offered us discounts to happy hour next door at Bobby Q's ... Good breakfast in the morning.. but managers reception is only 2 nites a week.. which is kind of strange. read more

LOVE it here. I stay at hotels about 80 nights a year for work, and often go to Phoenix. Gotta say, if it weren't for the "hood" neighborhood, I would've given it 5 stars. The restaurant next door, Bobby Q, has rave reviews, so it seems like a convenient place to eat, but that seems to be the only dinner place around. Good thing it's the Residence Inn, with a small kitchenette. This is probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in all year. The dishes and silver wear are very clean and housekeeping keeps it that way daily. I've stayed at places twice the amount of this Residence Inn in Scottsdale and dishes in the kitchenette were filthy. Small workout room but you can go to the LA Fitness down the street for free. Oh, they don't skimp on breakfast-waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit and hot and cold cereal. Beds don't look comfy but they are Devine. I had some of my best nights sleep here. It's nice to stay at a place that is more like a home than a hotel. read more

I really like Marriott, rarely having a negative experience despite dozens of business travel nights per year. -This property is difficult to get to and the road noise is excessive. -Monday crowd control wasn't managed well with a 2-bus load group of rowdy kids; management moved me instead of requiring the kids to quiet down at 11pm & stop setting off smoke alarms. -Tuesday I arrived back from work to AC on the fritz; maintenance arrived promptly, patched up the AC & temp was down to 85 by bedtime. -Wednesday, AC quit completely. I'm moving to my third room in 4 days. read more

The stay was great. No problems. Clean and safe rooms. Glad they were there to meet our needs this weekend. Also the day we left I had a flat tire. We had already checked out and after changing the tire in 100 plus degree heat they were very nice about letting me go back to my room to take a quick shower to "recover". Maryann on Sunday was very helpful and saved the day. Difference between being icky and dirty verses clean and refreshed. Also the complimentary breakfast on our first day was ok. Okay room, but the location isn't safe. It's cheaper than some hotels around the area, but honestly, not worth the lower cost if you care about safety. Don't walk around the area alone or with children at night. I used to live in Tempe/Scottsdale and I wouldn't stay in this area again, even though it was closer to the location I needed to go to the next morning. For a Marriott property I expected more, a lot more; especially as a Platinum member. The rooms are ok and are the older apartment style that some Residence Inns were built under, your own entrance, etc. The staff is pleasant, however that's where the positive remarks end. Another user mentioned the internet, it's awful. Initially the internet was so bad they had hot spots from Verizon brought in, and things worked perfectly. Well they went through last week and took all the hot spots since the "upgrade" was complete through Ethos. Guess what? Internet is still awful in many buildings and no matter how much you ask management for the hot spot back, and tell them it's not efficient internet, they aren't listening. What should have taken 3 minutes, at most to purchase a plane ticket, ended up being 33. Today a message was left with the front desk and was promised a return call, didn't happen. Management needs to understand that technology is a staple to away from home travelers, especially when advertised as high speed and it is running at dial up pace. For the price and the amenities, skip this spot and head to the Peoria exit and stay at Hilton Homewood Suites, assuming you need a long term style hotel. read more

Breakfast was granola bars, juice, and muffins. I stayed here for two nights when my friend was interviewing at agencies. The microwave and refrigerator great amenities. We chose this for the wi-fi. When my friends didn't wake up early, I just watched the TV when I ran out of newspaper. read more

This hotel was very convenient near the freeway, the breakfast in the morning was good as well. My boyfriend used the gym and said it met his needs but wasn't anything special. The rooms felt like they were previously an apartment complex converted to a hotel. They were clean and comfortable so even with the weird layout it was a good stay. I wouldn't recommend this place if you have a moving truck as the parking situation is limited. read more

Last stop before we head home and so far great front staff ... Very friendly .. We love staying in Residence Inn .. The amenities are alway nice when your on the road with kids.. The pool was nice and warm .. The basketball court was well used by my husband and the gym was very clean .. Breakfast is always good and convenient when your on the go.. We got in the pool and had a great time .. Roberto was checking on the pool temperature to make sure it was the perfect temperature.. He was very helpful with guiding us around the town and suggesting restaurants close by.. Overall a great experience ! read more

The location isn't the greatest, the good news is it is very close to Bobby Q's. The hotel is set up like an apartment complex with different buildings. My room was set up like a studio apartment. The kitchen equipment is a tad bit outdated, but it was nice to have a full stove and oven. The light are on a timing system, so it kind of sucks if you are sitting down to watch TV and it's dark out. I will most likely stay at this hotel if I'm in the area for work in the future. read more

A room for one night was supposed to be a total of $180.00 and they charged $200.00. Once that was cleared up, a few hours later we recieved an ADDITIONAL $250.00 CHARGE because people were smoking OUTSIDE. unacceptable. and you know that the best part is?? they were smoking a ciggerate with the damn security gaurd that circles the place at night. So, they should make it clear to customers and their OWN EMPLOYEES YOU CANT SMOKE ON THE VICINITY. So in conclusion, my friend who is not even a smoker and paid for the room was charged $450.00 instead of $180.00. Walked into the room and it reeked of bug spray...it's no wonder as there was a dying cockroach on the floor. This place is so run down, the bed in the living room was broken and had paint all over it. Just walking up to the room was a chore as their stairs are a complete safety hazard. It should have been a sign to just run. We got a two bedroom which was one bed in the loving room and another bed in the loft, definitely not two bedrooms. I called the front desk about the cockroach's and she was not interested in the fact that their room was infested. I told her I would not be staying and she just said okay, that's fine. She didn't even apologize. I would never stay at this property. I feel disgusted after being in it for 5 minutes. Unless you want to bring home bugs, I would NOT stay here! read more

I booked here using rewards points for one room and paid for another after having a horrible experience elsewhere at a different chain. It was perfect for what we wanted, close to the freeway with a pool and parking right in front of our rooms! The place is like studio apartment and the AC was a relief from the blasting heat of a 9 hour ride on the bikes. The person that checked us in was so nice, she even called to make sure we were happy with our rooms. She got us rooms next to each other and close to the pool. It was a little slice of heaven to recharge our road trip weary bodies. read more
