Great new place in North Phoenix. Property is only 2 weeks old. Angela at the front desk was amazing. Beautiful. Clean great Annette's and good gym. I highly recommend.

I booked a bungalow in the retreat area to have access to the 2 other temperature regulated pools. It was beautiful the retreat area is very nice, it's further away from Weft & Warp and the Turquoise pool so it quiet and relaxing. Maydeline at the Spa was very helpful and very in touch with guest needs. One step ahead everytime. Colin really saved the day with making sure we had everything we needed. Brennan was also really helpful at breakfast and bringing us water all the way to the retreat pool. There was a minor hiccup with requesting ice while we were there but they did take care of it and apologized the next day for it not being done promptly, the acknowledgement was great and it really was such a minor thing. They have lots of activities everyday that are included and they also have experiences you can pay for.

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

We stepped foot onto the beautiful resort, threw our complimentary towels and items down on the most shady seats we could find, grabbed a couple tubes, and plopped our Fannies down in those donuts and let the lazy river take us away! Us girls were probably the oldest ladies at the park but we didn't mind. The children are very well behaved besides one little boy but his parents gave him a talking to and the rest of the day was fine. Anywho we had a great time laughing and utilizing the on site bar. I sat so long in the turquoise tube my rear end got stuck in the hole and two of the workers had to help me out! Thanks Nico you saved my life!! After we survived that fiasco, we were able to stroll around the beautiful property and sit near other bodies of water like the other pools including one with a giant fountain structure! I love listening to the water trickle! Reminds me of the rain back home. If you come here make sure you bring your best sunscreen my cousin only had 15 spf and we're German and Irish so imagine how she looked leaving! She's not used to the Arizona sun so just be prepared especially with your precious children. Lather them up with the 50 spf instead. We ate so much food at the place I mean come on quesadilla, chips and salsa, and Miami Vices makes us go crazy. Think I gained ten pounds.. maybe even twenty! Even she went from JO-ANN to WATERMEL-ANN REAL FAST HAD TO ROLL US LADIES OUT THE DOOR DOWN THE HILL BACK TO THE CAR! Chairs were comfortable. Love the lounge chairs next time we will bring a group and get a cabana! Or maybe I'll just get one to myself LMBO. Lazy River rocks. I love to float and enjoy your wonderful playlist. I almost went down the slide on a dare but chickened out. Barb and heights go together like baked beans and cool whip. Until next time JW!!!! Oh and ps two little girls stick their bare hands in the pitchers of water you provide to guests I saw it with my own eyes. Please invest in those giant dispensers like the ones you serve water from in the lobby. Thank you for listening to my feedback. - Barb

The highlight is definitely the AquaRidge water park with 5 pools, a lazy river, and awesome waterslides. They also have a spa (sadly, no time for me this trip), plus 2 championship 18-hole golf courses. My room even overlooked one of the courses! The room was spacious and clean, and bonus points for having Starbucks near the gift store because vacation calories don't count, but coffee is essential! The only downside? The resort is HUGE with many different wings, so be prepared to get your steps in. Pack comfortable shoes! Overall, a beautiful resort with great views and plenty to explore. I would stay again!

I couldn't have been more pleased by our stay. It was affordable (and had a veteran's discount on top). The free dinner and hot breakfast were great perks. The beds were comfortable. The pillows weren't the typical hotel pillows that go flat as a sheet of paper the moment you lay on them, they actually provided support. The water pressure in the shower was great. There was a real door on the bathroom, not the barn doors that everyone is doing these days. The people at the front desk and in the eating area were all super friendly and personable. This is the first time I've ever written a review for a hotel. That's how pleasantly surprised I was. Please don't change, keep it up. I will be staying at Drury again in the future.

I bugged them three to five times a night and they never made me feel like I was actually bothering them. They were happy to help. They also have housekeeping stuff at the front, dried lavender packs, and shower steamers in case you want a little something extra. The only drawback for me was how much noise there was outside on Camelback Road. I know they can't do anything about that, but it kept me up. So it's something to consider.

From the moment you walk through the main entrance, first thing is the size and ambience of the reception area, Starbucks and bar strikes you and you know you're not in a normal Marriot hotel. Front desk staff was fantastic, Liz had all our room, valet parking, Lounge access and welcome gift organised and made check in quick and simple. The rooms are large for a downtown hotel, it was almost a joke at how far you needed to walk tp get dressed or goto the bathroom. Wished these big rooms came with 2 sinks? Rooms have full sized fridge, pod style coffee machines with a box of coffee pods and teas. But thats not really needed as they have rooms that have access to a 24 hour Lounge that includes complimentary coffee, tea, waters, Pelegrino, fruit juices, snacks, sodas; and during happy hour, cheese and fruit platters and $ private bar. Breakfast is so impressive and held in the lounge, certain rooms come with free Lounge and Breakfast access, definitely worth the extra spend. Think about how much they charge for food, snacks and drinks? Parking is valet, nice and easy but small considering the side of the hotel and can get busy. Waiting wasnt long though as the parking is built into the hotel and not somewhere else. The Duster bar downstairs is a great place to hang and cheaper than buying it the event centers.... but service was so slow at 2/3rds full. Took 25 minutes to get 1st order in and another 10 mins to pay. Our server wasn't slack, she just covered the entire bar whizzing around. They need more staff when theres a function, a game and a big concert all in the same night. Ill put this in at the bottom, this was rare occasion that I've purchased a hotel from Marriot with only a few days notice, the rate seemed low despite above mentioned things going on. Maybe that's the tip to stay back here is to book a few days out? Usually this hotel is a lot more.

The room was comfortable and cool. Sadly the bed needs to be replaced it's pretty worn out. Had excellent water pressure in the shower. Swimming pool was a very nice warm temperature and was extremely busy so we opted to swim in the evening when it was empty. Only down side is that there's barely any light and the deck around the pool is uneven in places. We had room service the first night. Young man that delivered was very nice. The chicken fingers and veg paste was good. The albondigas was terrible. Two meat balls With some chipotle sauce. We ate breakfast every morning and it was good. The hostess and some of the other people acted like this was their first time being busy so it was entertaining to watch them scurry around like they were lost. We ate one night at Prado and the food had no flavor. Loved the smell of the restaurant like mesquite wood burning. The waiter was very nice and friendly. I posted that review on here as well. The entire staff were very friendly and helpful when asked. Never understood what was included in the $45/night resort fee and the parking was $35/night for valet and 30 for self park. So be forewarned add the $80 a night to your room rate. Plus the distance to your room can be quite a trek. Anyways would we stay here again?? Not sure. For the money we might try one of the other resorts around the area. So can't say either way right now.
