Well, I called them and it went straight to voicemail in which she says to send her a message on Facebook (not everyone has Facebook smh!). I left a message requesting a quote/appointment. They always call the day before to confirm your appointment. The vet techs also seem to really love the animals. The prices, although not cheap, seem reasonable. My pup had some matting around her eyes (poor thing) and they trimmed her facial hair at no extra cost. Those are the little things you appreciate especially considering how expensive it can be to have (and sometimes spoil) your pet.

He had been exhibiting signs of jaw pain recently and had been examined by a specialist he sees monthly and then by his regular vet soon after. Neither could find any obvious problems. On Tuesday of this week, he suddenly began salivating profusely and I strongly suspected a dental issue. My regular vet clinic (where I have been going for 22 years) couldn't fit us in for a dental cleaning anytime soon, so I immediately began searching for a clinic that could do an emergency cleaning. Some had no openings while others said they had no staff for that procedure. I struck out at nine places before broadening my geographic search and thankfully discovering Hayfield. Dr. Watson examined my dog and did bloodwork the next day (Wednesday), and I took him back today (Thursday) for the cleaning. His bloodwork was ready for me to review when I arrived early this morning. Dr. Watson is knowledgeable, skilled, patient, compassionate and communicative - all the things you want in a veterinarian - and even though we had just met, I felt as though my dog was in very good hands. She called me during the procedure to let me know that everything was going well and to ask a question and then called back to let me know that he was coming out of anesthesia and give me a pick-up time. The staff were all kind, helpful and compassionate, too. I am so grateful and relieved to have found Hayfield - especially during what I thought was an emergency. From beginning to end, my experience was wonderful, and I will happily recommend Hayfield - and Dr. Watson - to anyone looking for an excellent veterinarian and clinic.

The Backyard Pack (BYP) engages with your dogs and loves them as one of their own. They create a safe, clean and healthy environment where dogs can thrive and have fun. And unlike the larger daycares we tried, the staff at BYP takes the pups out for potty breaks rather than letting them go in the room where the dogs are playing. I HIGHLY recommend the BYP if you're looking for doggy daycare or boarding, your pup will thank you!

After checking out a few trainers, I got together with Brian at the Backyard Pack for some leash training for my dog. They (Brian and Laurie) worked with him a bit while he was being boarded, then met with me to teach me how to work with him. Duke pulls a lot on leash, and barks furiously at distractions (other dogs, runners, bikers, squirrels...) For an extremely reasonable price, they came to my house for a session. They brought another dominant dog who they were training, so the dogs could be walked together. They walked us right up to distractions, and showed me how to handle his panic both before he reacts, and after, if he does react. I feel like I finally have the tools I need. Duke's improved a lot. He's still a work in progress, but we have way more good walks than bad ones now. They sent me a list of tips, followed up with me, and are available for me to ask follow up questions via e-mail. I'm happy because they've helped me to control his behavior, not just distract him with food.

Needless to say he lost the fight and needed emergency care. I called 4 nearby hospitals and they were booked solid. I called this facility and they promised to be ready to help upon arrival. I drove over an hour to utilize this animal hospital, staff met us at the door as promised, then quickly proceeded to treat him. They showed so much care & compassion! A few days ago, I noticed my pup refusing to walk even during nice weather days. His genitalia was dark red & inflamed. I took the voyage back to the hospital and received the same level of care that I remembered. They have an onsite pharmacy, so we went home with 3 Rx & an e-collar. He's healing slowly but surely. We have pet insurance and a wellness plan elsewhere, but I will pay out of pocket for the top tier service & 24/7 coverage that I receive here.

And we stayed far away from here! My good times here have been amazing & one of the vets saved my beautiful baby during the same hellish experience with the jerk of a vet who caused us to let go of our baby. But sadly the amazing vet moved and so I swore this place off! I needed a new vet and I really went down the rabbit hole of research and was actually brought right back here and I am so grateful that we found Dr. Candace Flynn! She is simply a dream and the most amazing, compassionate and caring vet I think I have ever met and my kitty is so comfortable with her it's pure love! Dr. Flynn, who deserves FIVE STARS+++, is also wonderful with her advice and guidance. She's very communicative and informative and just well-rounded with a holistic approach, but the amount of time and love she spends with your pet (and you) is priceless!!! They are a 24-hour emergency care, veterinary hospital, fully equipped, and fully staffed round the clock. They also have a separate, waiting room for dogs and cats to help ease the anxiety. They also have two sister hospitals in both Clifton and Arlington, Virginia. Yes, they are a bit pricier but you're inside the beltway & 15 minutes from DC so what do you expect?! Thankfully, there has been more good than bad and I know which vet to steer clear from & I still forewarn people about her! 7/2/27

I had my cat of almost 15 years euthanized based on the veterinarian opinion. Before hand they give you all the time you need alone with your pet. Needless to say I was in a room crying. After crying in the room. As I walked out of the room. A female doctor was imitating a fake ugly cry while the 2 other female doctors were laughing. I was literally just in the room crying. When the procedure is done they stop talking to you. I stood there for 15 minutes. They literally forgot to get rhe paw prints and fur. I had to remind them The lady at the front desk was very nice. They better not ever fire her cause her friendly demeanor is helping their business. The female doctors are catty like teen from mean girls. 2. They judged me based on my appearance. I felt bad about myself. Like I made them uncomfortable. I believe it was my hairstyle that was a distraction because the doctor couldnt hold eye contact without looking at my hair. 3. I felt judged because of my financial situation. I obviously dont expect and didnt ask anyone to work for free. I went there out of desperation for suggestions and to buy pain medicine and ointment to clean my cat eyes. 4. I did not like the way they made my cat scream. If she had done that before I wouldnt think anything of it. However she has NEVER screamed like that which is why I believe it was intentional. I regret taking her there in her last moments. I still remember that scream. I just pray she was fully transitioned and that I made the right decision for her. Please dont wait to get insurance. Get a 2nd opinion because ive met other pet owners who vets worked with them far as payment or showing them how to do certain things at home to care for their pet and cut cost. If I ever have a pet I would never step foot in that facility again.

We've been to many pet ERs/urgent cares in the 8 years we've lived in NoVa and this the only hospital where we spoke to a doctor within a few minutes of walking in the door. They were thorough, took time to explain our treatment/testing options and answer questions, and made us feel like Norman's care mattered even when more severe emergency cases came in. At VEG, you can see everything, stay with your pet, watch their treatment, and staff are readily available to talk to or answer questions. That alone eased so much anxiety. Kenzie, one of the nurses that was assigned to Norman, was so kind. It was clear that everyone in the room cared about making these animals feel comfortable. More than one nurse came over to introduce themselves when we were preparing to leave Norman overnight. They offered us a room where we could stay with him if we wanted, and even asked what he liked to watch on TV to create a comfortable environment for him after we let them know he suffers from separation anxiety. The discharge and follow-up notes were also incredibly detailed, which made following up with our primary vet so much easier. No one ever wants to bring their animal to an ER, but this is now the only place we will go when we need urgent medical care. A HUGE thank you to everyone at VEG Alexandria for taking such good care of our dog!

Reserved Barking has been a wonderful first experience with a dog daycare service. From my initial impression of them during my dog's evaluation day to our experience many months in, I can honestly say I would recommend them to anyone. In fact, I even got my sister to start bringing her dogs since she saw what a positive experience my dog Nieva and I had with Reserved Barking! First of all, the safety of the animals always comes first. The staff are not only friendly but honest if any issue ever arises with your beloved furry friend and are all informed when it comes to dogs as well. The facility is new, clean, and well designed (including an outdoor area and separate areas for smaller and larger dogs). Nieva is always excited to go to daycare (she goes every weekday) and I have even added in a few Saturdays just because she begs to go to daycare. She obviously has a great time with all her pack friends and especially loves the staff who play with her and show her love and care all day. I don't have to fret over how she is doing while I'm at work and I know she is in good hands! We have even used their boarding option and since Nieva is already accustomed to being there it is less of a stress on her when I have to leave for work trips or vacation (another benefit of doggy daycare)! My dog, Sarge, has been going to Reserved Barking for over 2 years now and we are very excited for their new Springfield location! Being a German shepherd, Sarge needs lots of physical activity and attention, both of which he receives plenty of at Reserved Barking. The Springfield facility has a large indoor and outdoor space for the dogs to play as well as kennels and private suites when they need a rest. As a result, Sarge is always excited upon his arrival and 'dog-tired' when he gets home, ensuring me that he continues to love spending time with the RB team. We also love that Reserved Barking offers boarding, allowing a familiarity and high level of comfort for Sarge when he is unable to travel with us. The staff is always quick to notify us if there are any issues or concerns, so I know he is in good hands while we're away. I have a high energy husky. He always comes back happy and tired. I have been going for six months. He loves the staff. The owners have been helpful when Kodi isn't on his best behavior. I can tell you that they are strict with what the dogs can have. Mine was not allowed to have his fav toy or a bandana for the dogs safety. It has always been this way and I get it. He has a blast anyway. I am always impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The play areas are second to none. The owners are always available and genuinely good guys. I tried Dogtopia but frankly they could not handle and are not equipped for playful dogs like mine. They did not want huskies. Reserved barking has the dogs separated from large and small which is huge for me. Huskies tend to be prey driven with smaller dogs. Take it from someone who used to work there, it's a good place for dogs to be, especially those that need attention or their energy burned out during the day. There's LOTS of room and there are some kind and caring staff members. In my experience there, when treated correctly dogs, create a healthy bond with day camp supervisors and are excited not only to arrive, but to leave. I can honestly say I had a terrific time working there and have recommended my own friends dogs to board or to daycare there. Compared to either other dog place I can say Ive worked at, this place provides your dog with the most freedom to expand his or her energy, or if they like to relax and lay around in the sun or shade, as well as the safest environment. I recently moved from Old Town to Springfield and was delighted to find out that Reserved Barking was opening a second location in Springfield. The facility is really top notch with two large indoor spaces (one for large dogs, one for small dogs) and a really good sized fenced in lot for outdoor play. I take my dog at least once a week (usually twice a week) and he comes home worn out and happy every time. Reserved Barking has a top notch staff and a really welcoming management team. They really care about the animals and it's so easy to tell. Pricing is also competitive, with great discount for multi-day packages. I could not recommend this place any higher for both daycare and boarding. read more

Reserved Barking is a fantastic place to take your fur baby. My Finn loves the day care and the boarding, not to mention the staff. He gets so excited when I drop him off that he forgets I exist. He is absolutely exhausted by the end of the day. For an active dog, that makes me happy to know he was active and got to play with his friends throughout the day. The staff takes the time to get to know him and his eccentricities, like his allergy to rawhide, how clumsy he can be or which dogs he plays best with. I can't say enough great things about this place and how happy it makes Finn to visit on a regular basis. read more

We love taking our Crystal to Reserved Barking. We never need to worry about her because everyone is so friendly and they take such good care of our baby. She especially loves going to the outside area to play. She has made a lot of new friends to play with while she is there. We had taken her to another day care but it became dirty and they didn't pay attention to the dogs. Here it is always clean and we don't need to worry. Employees here are very conscientious, and love pets. My dogs pull hard on the leash to get in there whenever they have Doggie Daycare and sleep like babies having socialized and played all day. Reserved barking gets my unequivocal support and thanks for their attention to detail and loving care of my pets. What a friendly, professionally-run, competent staff! They care about my two Yorkies, are accommodating to their special needs, group all dogs in appropriate size play groups and the small dogs -and large dogs- are permitted outside breaks every hour in their respective play yards. Brianna is the new general manager and it seems like she's getting stuff DONE! I am the owner of SIX German Shorthaired Pointer females and had an emergency situation where I had to come up to Virginia from Florida for a funeral. I was having difficulty finding anybody that would allow me to board all six of my dogs so I could attend this extremely important memorial and funeral for my precious family member. Mike at Giving Tree was beyond the most generous, kind, caring and professional person I have ever dealt with in my life, when it comes to my dogs. Stephen contacted me and asked how my experience was and if I was satisfied, as they had just opened a new location, 130 W Jefferson St Falls Church VA 22046 If there were 20 stars available for a review, I would give them 25 stars. In these complicated times, it is so important for all of us to take care of each other and be sensitive to real emergencies as well as our everyday needs. I cannot say enough about this "miracle"group, down to the people that spent time with my dogs at night and made sure that they were as calm and perfectly cared for as possible.
