After moving to the West Springfield area, I went looking for a place to take my dog so he could play. He'd been a regular at another dog daycare, and I knew he'd miss playing with other dogs. I checked out several in the area, and got recommendations from my neighbors. I decided on Reserved Barking because it was clear that they adore my dog as much as I do. He is always super excited to go inside to play. I love the fact that they have an outdoor play area. That's unusual and a big benefit in my opinion. I know the employees are vigilant, caring, and professional. He loves to see them every morning and I trust them completely with my dog. They get 5 stars on Yelp because they deserve it. I absolutely LOVE Reserved Barking, it's owners and the staff; what a great group of people! My dog loves coming here, when I first got her I was in distress to get her quality fun time when I was at work (sometimes 10-12 hour days) and my husband just deployed. I was a new dog owner and she being my first ever puppy and dog (GSD); I was sooo stressed. But the owners are so helpful and knowledgeable, this is truly the best place in the history of EVER for dogs! I also love that this is Veteran owned and you get to interact often with the owners. Thanks guys, I can't say enough great things about them. It's terrible and comical some of the reviews that I've read about this place... I'm sorry but it isn't RB's fault if your dog ate something it shouldn't have and how do you know it was at RB? Reserved barking doesn't have toys available for dogs to chew on or anything else for dogs to play with other than other dogs (and the water hose!). Reserved Barking is an amazing oasis for my puppy she gets sad when she doesn't get to come here. It breaks my heart. read more

This update is regarding management and customer relations of the Springfield location. I have been trying for 2 months to get an update on what is going on with this location. For those of you calling and accepting the pre-recorded message that they will update us on FB or via email when they reopen the Springfield location, you may want to follow up with someone. The location's signs are down, there is an ad up for lease availability and the parking lot is full of boats and cars. The week before they shut down, we purchased a 60 day daycare package. We only used 1 day when COVID shut everything down. A few months later Alexandria reopened but Springfield did not. On 1 occasion I had someone from Alexandria explain to me that my daycare sessions were non-transferable and that there was no fiscal mechanism to transfer the remainder of our sessions to Alexandria. That was in July. Since then I emailed several times, tried to contact the owner though Yelp, and called Alexandria and left numerous messages. The only response I got about the status of Springfield was an email from Alexandria stating that they had passed my message on to the owner - - but again . . Crickets. I have been such a cheerleader for this place - - I couldn't be more disappointed in how the owner has responded to this issue. read more

My dogs have been coming here off and on for a bit but today was their last day. Today I can to pick them up after 1.5 day of daycare and one overnight. My oldest dog was apparently bit on the ear and brought out to me with an ear covered in blood, a bite that happened the day before and I never received a call. They had no intentions of mentioning it today until I noticed the blood. I spoke to the manager who (was was on property working) said I didn't receive a call because she did not know about. I asked for the dogs information and vaccine history and was told I couldn't have it. Having something happen with a bunch of dogs is not the issue the problem is they tried to cover it up and were never going to tell me about it. That is shady business and clearly my dogs Heath is not their priority. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST... But If you wanna take your business to a place where they condone "VIOLENT" dog behavior and then followed with a "POOR" excuse of a resolution to your dog's injuries... look no further because this is the place for your fur baby! I took my Dog Snoopy there yesterday and he was badly bitten by another dog that left a painful puncture on his leg. After his expensive vet visit, a Reserved Barking manager explained to me that it was normal dog behavior and she was unable to hold the other dog's owner liable for the vet bill. To make up for the inconvenience, she insultingly offered me a free day of daycare. I feel like they totally brushed off the incident in order to not upset or potentially lose the other customer! I will be taking Snoopy to a different daycare moving forward where he will be safe and come home in one piece. read more

I was originally introduced to Reserved Barking through a Groupon. I had also tried other dog daycares in the area through Groupon and found Reserved Barking to be above the rest. I have been taking my yellow Lab here for 6 months. I loved that the day care offered both indoor and outdoor space. My four-footed kiddo is reluctant to pee on a concrete floor and loves to sunbathe, so he was happy, too. They also open at 6:30am, as opposed to most other daycares which open at 7am. The earlier start time made a huge difference in my commute. The staff at Reserved Barking are wonderful. I get calls and email updates about my dog's activity; it's clear that they know my dog's behavior and preferences very well. I would absolutely recommend Reserved Barking to other dog parents. read more

I love Reserved Barking and most importantly my to fur babies do too! They go a couple of times a week and they can't wait to go. When they come home they are sooo tired. I have taken my dogs to Petsmart before, mainly because i really didn't know any better. Petsmart is way to small for my big dogs. They needed a much larger space to run and play while they were there. So now I take them to Reserved Barking in Springfield. They have a Huge indoor play area with all the amenities but in addition they also have an outdoor space to go to on those nice days. Both larger and smaller dogs have their own indoor space and outdoor space. I can't say enough how much we love to take our dogs there! read more

They not only take a vested interest in your dog and getting to know them, they also get to know you. I have boarded my babies here several times and they treat my babies like family regardless of it is for the day or for the week. Been using RB for about six months now. I have probably the cutest dog in the world so I'm very cautious about who I trust with him. That said, RB never disappoints. I take him there once or twice a week and have also used their boarding services when I go out of town. They love him and I know they take good care of him. I was a prior customer of this facility but from the start this place gave me a bad vibe. From the first tour, management seemed as concerned with running down the competition as they did in selling their own facility. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but after my pet had a medical issue resulting in a hefty vet bill after staying at the facility (which logically happened at the facility but admittedly could not be proven without a shadow of a doubt) management was rude, combative and dismissive to my concerns regarding the care my pet received. Stressful situations reveal alot about people and businesses and Reserved Barking's response to my pet's issues spoke volumes. I do not recommend this facility. read more

I have been so impressed with Reserved Barking (Fullerton). I took a tour of the facility a few weeks prior to moving to VA, and saw how very clean the area is kept. The smaller dogs have a different play area than the larger dogs, and I liked that too! When you walk in to the facility, you are greeted with a clean smell, not an animal smell. My Yorkie had a great evaluation day this week and greeted me with a smile and such excitement. He must have played hard because he was ready for bed before 6:00 PM! I am so thrilled to find a place with such caring and loving attention to my beloved puppy. read more

This one checks all the boxes. Easy to get to, friendly staff, and extraordinarily clean!! You'd never know that this place catered to dogs. This facility has both inside and outside areas for the dogs plus there's even areas where large and small dogs can be separated. This place thinks your dog is as cool as you do! My dog can't wait to get to Reserved Barking in the morning. When it's pickup time, he is dog tired literally. Everyone at Reserved Barking is friendly and obviously loves dogs. The location is always clean. The staff members are professional and always friendly. The report cards that I have received via e-mail always indicate that my dog is happy, relaxed and having a great time. We started with the Reserved Barking location on Telegraph Road. However, their large dog outdoor area is currently closed and our pup refuses to do his business inside. Although they walked our dog regularly throughout the day, we wanted to find a daycare facility with an outdoor area & the front desk attendant recommended their Springfield location. I currently bring our 85 pound, high energy pup here and he absolutely loves it. When the pack leaders get him from the lobby, he doesn't look back, no thank you for the ride, no hesitation, nothing; to say he loves it here is an understatement. We currently take him roughly once a week and plan on transitioning to several times a week this fall. After a long day of playing, he comes home happy & exhausted. read more
