He was very detail oriented at each step from the beauty and quality finish, the caulking, and the subtle ridges on the bottom of the tub to avoid slipping. I was also impressed with how smoothly the shower doors operated on the tracks after he re-installed them - better than before. Additionally, he showed me a couple of "insider tips" how to clean the grime buildup from the shower doors correctly so they looked almost new once reinstalled. I chose Americas Tub because of the solid reviews, and I had a very positive experience throughout the job. After a little more…read morethan 1 week of waiting and having my other furniture refinish appointment get delayed, I read a review saying the owner was more responsive over text message and gave it a shot. It was about 11pm so I didn't expect a response until the next morning but I got rapid fire responses and was able to schedule an appointment the following week after confirming a few details (namely, insurance to cover the table if it is damaged) I wanted to re-finish an epoxy resin waterfall table that I messed up on and wanted to restore its matte finish. The table was picked up and I was told to expect it to be done within 1 week. About a week went by, I checked in for any updates and pictures and was told they just put on the first coat. Another week went by and the second coat was applied but was told the issue prior to the work is still visible. I was then upsold to switch to CV (previous was using rubio/osmo to finish). Being fairly unknowledgable about finishes, I asked a few questions and was just told it was better. I did some basic research (chatgpt, reddit, youtube, etc.) and was fine with it. It cost an extra $100 but the labor to re-sand the surface to remove the rubio applied was covered. All in all, about 3 weeks went by and I received the refinished product. Overall, I it looks as I wanted it to. Mauricio handled the initial pickup and subsequent re-delivery so the process is very convenient if you are busy and don't want to plan how to transport heavy furniture. Some notes: - Its best to reach out via text message to Mauricio and to do so at some regular cadence if you want updates. Perhaps calling would be more expedient if you have the time. - There's a lot of promises or statements that were not followed through (e.g. I'll send an invoice by end of day, I'll send updated pictures by end of day, etc.). See first point. - Estimate may be over-exaggerated. The project went from 1 week to 3 weeks. - It would be nice to do a pros/cons breakdown or simply spend a few sentence educating clients on the trade off of finishes (e.g. Rubio vs Osmo, Rubio vs CV, etc.).

He came out this morning, Monday 3/30, and repaired the bubble area, and even a blemish we caused. He did not charge us anything for the repair, even though he spent quite a bit of time on it. It is a rarity in this day and age when a service provider far exceeds your expectations. Most companies are looking for any reason to tell you it is not their problem. Not ReNew Refinishing. They take care of their customers even when it is not their responsibility. An amazing company!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had a 40 year old sink, very deep sink, in a laundry room that was in need of refinishing, not to mention a new faucet. The sink was a drop in sink in a tiled countertop. Serge arrived this morning, on time, and was very friendly and professional. I had attempted to turn off the angle stops, but the hot water valve seemed frozen. The handle wouldn't easily turn and I was afraid to put too much pressure on it for fear of creating and even bigger problem. So, I turned the water off, in order to remove the supply hoses to the faucet and remove the faucet. In discussing this with Serge, he stated that sometimes applying a little force will break the 'seal' and allow the valve to be closed. At that point, I felt I was probably going to have to call a plumber to replace the valve, so I had nothing to lose. He broke it free and the valve seated properly with no leaking. In my view, Serge saved me a tremendous amount of hassle, not to mention a lot of money. Now, as to the refinishing job done on our sink this picture says it all! The variations of 'color' in the picture are due to lighting and shadows resulting from the lighting. The sink is totally bright white! He did a fabulous job and we are extremely pleased with the result! ReNew's price was quite a bit lower than the other quote I received. I am submitting this review with mixed feelings. Initially, the work they did on my two…read morebathtubs/showers was nice. However, later on small flaws and some overspray and bubbling appeared. So I called them out because you have a 5 year guarantee. Now each and every time they were called out, it never showed that it was anything I did, but it showed to be the fault of the product and they fixed. However, this last time I called on some flaws that showed. the rep was starting to say there might be a service charge and started to change their tune. This is a 5 year guarantee and never has it showed that it was any fault of mine in fact I keep good care of both tubs and showers. So if you have a 5 year guarantee, you should honor that. It is not the number of times they have to fix something, but the fact that it is a 5 year guarantee and should fix any flaws that are a result of their product. The rep had stated -we have been out there several times. Well, I am sorry but that is not my fault and if you have to come out several times to fix that, then you should honor the guarantee. You could look at that from the other perspective of the consumer and say of that was a car it would qualify under the lemon law. The technician came out and fixed a few spots and it was admitted that the last technician oversprayed. The technician stated -well it is not going to be perfect. That is kind of like saying -Your going to get your car repainted but it is not going to be perfect-so there may be marks and chips. Live with it. However, one of the spots was not fixed, so I called back the technician and he ignored my calls and then called Miracle Method and they also ignored the calls. I work in healthcare and after the year we just had, I do not have the time to continue to try to call them back and schedule and continue to have calls ignored. They are starting to act as if I enjoy having to make appointments and wait for fixes. I do not enjoy that and quite frankly wish I did not have to do that. The point remains, if it is your product and you guarantee, then it should be fixed. Now, understand that I do not think they do bad work and I do not think they are a bad company or have bad technicians, I just think that sometimes the product shows some flaws and a person should not be ignored and brushed off because they have called your company out to fix issues under warranty.
