Their 50% off sale comes in clutch when finances are low.I work at sprouts and they don't pay me too well... but being able to shop at ReRuns Resale makes it all worth it. read more

Gone here with a friend, I think variety of items is cool, kitchen, makeup, bath, and sewing/knit supplied, earrings, a lright selection of books, and some camera accessories wnd jewlery, blankets. But its a bit over priced on some items. Owners or employees are quite active with guests, i wish hours were a bit more, longer. I am never around poway by 3pm :( read more

ReRuns Resale - Thrift Stores Near Me - Poway, California

As a single income family, we have been blessed by the now, long gone selection of thrift stores in Poway (replaced by apartments built all the way up to the sidewalk on Poway road). What remains is this store, Reruns Resale and The Salvation Army. As others have noted, this store has limited and somewhat quirky hours. Attribute that to the fact that most of the workers are volunteers. So, we appreciate the volunteers, but be aware of those quirky, limited hours. I find the staff mostly friendly and helpful, and yes, they are having a social hour, enjoying each other; seems fair to me for no pay. Prices; as others have said, and my many years of buying household needs and clothing at other thrift stores bears out, these guys are *way* over priced for a thrift store. Even when the entire store is "half off", their half off prices *begin* to approach what you would find at The Salvation Army (whose prices have escalated over the years). The last few visits we have been greeted with a sign outside the door to the effect: "We are not accepting donations at this time...please make an appointment...". Um...are you overstocked? Maybe get your prices in line with average thrift stores, turn inventory over faster and hit more bases... Help people that need to spend less on items, get money flowing thru your store faster, that sort of thing. Stop looking at ebay or whatever to establish prices on stock and think of yourself as what you are...a THRIFT store. A perfect example....my wife was wearing a "No Boundrys" tank top on our last visit. No Boundrys is a Walmart brand. The store had a used No Boundrys tank top for what it would cost new at Walmart. Point is, the items are NOT exactly High End to command the starting prices ticketed on the items. A used mens long sleeve shirt, $14.00???? So, $7.00 on half price day? Really??? Then there are the "ND" items. Something that may be a "name brand" that someone thought should command some premium price. "ND" meaning "NO DISCOUNT" when that category (or the whole store) is "half off". Look, I get that proceeds are to benefit various worthy causes and there is overhead (expensive rent) but seriously, this shop needs to strike a better balance in pricing to benefit the shopper and the causes it supports. If I did not live in Poway, I would not recommend making a special trip to shop this store. I'm glad the store is here, I wish them well, but it's pretty rare that I find a good value there. They used to have great prices and I'd go frequently, but I think they use eBay to price things now. Not expecting to pay eBay prices when walking into a thrift store, especially with things that are not in pristine or new condition. Pretty disappointing. read more

My daughter and I stopped in at ReRuns Resale and bought terrific baby items. We need to go back for another trip.

We've been here several times and really like the shop. Like any resale shop, you have to visit periodically as inventory changes frequently. We came initially because we heard that they could provide assistive devices such as walkers at no charge. That day I picked up a rollator walker ... and bought Lenox china!! The shop is well organized, and the volunteer staff is happy and helpful. It's a pleasure to shop here. read more

Amazing thrift store! Extremely clean and well organized, but with the treasure hunting dynamic intact! The only downside I would say is that some of the items are a bit overpriced especially things that I recognize from the dollar tree being more than a dollar. Overall, I will definitely be making this my main thrift store due to their deals and their ability to Categorize their goods in a clean organized and scrappy way. I was just in the store and everything except a few disclosed items was 50% off which made the pricing a lot easier on the wallet. I got a bunch of sewing items as well as a picture frame gift for my mom on top of a gift for a friend. Variety is awesome and it was very fun shopping there! If you are considering going, I would definitely recommend going. Just expect the price points to be a bit higher on some items. read more

I can't believe how overpriced all the items there were. I saw plastic plates for $3 each and thought that was bad, then I saw the larger ones were $5 each! Yikes! It would have been better if the clothes were organized by color (light to dark) within each size and type. The store definitely had "thrift store smell". Perhaps they could wash the clothes since they are retail prices. I didn't see anything that was worth purchasing at any price. All I can hope is that are a charity and donate to people in need. read more

The volunteers are only nice to you if they KNOW you, aka part of their little friend group or if you're a regular customer. When we entered the store, we were greeted by two volunteers talking loudly amongst themselves. It was a bit odd. I checked out the jewelry section and the older woman manning that section, watched me like a hawk and said nothing to me at all. No, "Do you need any help?" or "Just let me know if you want to see something." It was really uncomfortable and bizarre. As we circled the store, there are about 6 volunteers gathered in the middle, goofing off and "sorting" through donation pile. It just didn't feel like a business and more like a friend hangout. The entire time they kept side-eyeing both of us like my mom and I were doing something bad. Not one of them smiled at us, or showed any friendliness. I saw a customer walk in to donate and they immediately asked if she was new here and did their whole spiel of where the money goes to and blah blah blah. When we walked to the cashier, the woman was on her phone and didn't look up until we asked if this is where we pay. She suddenly showed "friendliness" and did the whole babble of who they are and XYZ. Also, she didn't apply the 50% discount on one of our items (and unfortunately we only noticed after we got home). So, if you do choose to go here, check your receipt before leaving the store! Their prices are too high on the most random items. The whole experience was just off-putting and their demeanor made it feel like we were not welcomed at all. It was very unpleasant. For context, I'm biracial and my mom is Asian. read more

What a mess! Absolute unorganized dirty resale shop. Also their volunteers sit in the MIDDLE OF THE ROOM eating cookies painfully trying to price and shoo the customers away. This makes for an awkward selling environment and a waste of prime selling space. Sorting the inventory and picking the right items is sorely needed. Baskets of cords and plugs? Why? Mismatched plastic hangers falling off the racks need to be colorized and sorted. Roving was not well thought out sand ridiculously high. It appears no effort was made to research pricing decorative items. Very high prices with poor displays just doesn't work. I bought nothing. A leader with a retail background and a great taste level is needed to oversee this store badly. Only open 5 hours a few days a week? Why? It's a great location, nice new building plenty of parking. Yet a complete zero. What a shame. read more

Their highest priced items were more art and decor, and that's a subjective category, harder to sell, which is why they still have lots on hand Slicing those prices in half at their store barely puts them in competition with other thrift/resale stores I sensed that their sales are low (and hours are short....) thus they are probably scratching their head on trying to figure out why sales aren't where they need them to be. Its a wonder that they have been able to survive there so long. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My friend and I went into ReRuns yesterday looking for a gift for her mom. We found a dutch oven and opened it to look inside, only to see racist Jim Crow era imagery at the bottom. We were shocked and appalled that an item like this could've passed inspections and placed on the shelf. My friend picked up the dutch oven so I could read the date on the bottom and immediately an employee came over to tell my friend to be careful. The employee then asked my friend "Have you seen the inside?" with a smile on her face, to which my friend responded "Sadly." The employee then laughed in my friend's face. My friend is a black woman. When I went back inside to confront this employee about her racism, her response was a smug "Thank you for your concern." I hope that in the future, racism is taken seriously at ReRuns and this store does not profit from items that contain images of anti-black stereotypes. read more

Reruns fill a great void after the Poway thrift stores were closed down with the sale of the property. The volunteer staff is a dedicated bunch of ladies ( and a few guys) who support the Poway Senior Center. The quality of the donations is second to none. If you are on Poway road Reruns is across from McDonalds in the former Frazee paint store. Bet you will find something you can't live without in your first visit! read more
