Affordable Treasures is the PERFECT place to do shopping for gifts. Admittedly my first purchase wasn't a gift but a purchase for myself: a nice heavy-duty wooden pet gate for my front patio. I tried calling so they could tell me how to get there, but that just wasted another 10 minutes and got me lost again. There's barely any signage to direct you to the store. By the time I found it and walked in it was 4:40pm (they close at 5pm) and I told them I had donations and wanted to shop. They replied, we're closing soon and closing the fitting rooms in 4 minutes!, which made me feel very unwelcome. I brought a huge bag of really nice clothes to donate, some brand new with tags on and there was no thank you or acknowledgement of the donation or even a hello, which was really rude. I started shopping and a few minutes later they came to tell me they closed the fitting room. Not ideal at all but whatever. A couple minutes later they came and said, we're closing you have to go to the front now, essentially kicking me out. Mind you, I drove over an hour round trip to go out of my way to donate here since it supports a very good cause (when I live 5 min from a Goodwill I could've easily donated to instead and saved a ton of time). I wasn't particularly impressed by their clothing selection and forget finding anything if you're not a size small or medium. However, as with many thrift type stores, I found some of the items to be unreasonably priced. Take a look at my photos and videos below to see. They did have some clothes 50%, which I though was a great deal. Their shoes were in pretty good condtion and while not super cheap, I think they are reasonable if you cannot find that same shoe online or in-stores anymore. At the time I came, they did not have real gold jewelry. I asked one of the associates and I believe Deborah herself answered when she said it wouldn't be available for another hour. Deborah was deep into what very much appeared to be researching her items before listing them for sale. Cool place to check out, but definitely consider skipping the store items and bags as you can find better prices elsewhere. Unless you want to support a local business, of course.
