I had a lovely chat with the staff present, got to see (and buy) some really interesting and gorgeous dice made by local artists, and fair prices across the board. The general stock was priced reasonably (especially compared to the shops near me around DC), and all the handmade and custom pieces were priced individually, considering the work that clearly went into them and properly supporting the local artists they work with. It was such a clearly supportive, pleasant, and fun environment that I am planning on driving the hour-long trip back soon, for the sole purpose of going here (and maybe even join in one of the one-shots they run.)

The shop has been around for decades along with the owner including bearing the brunt of two floods. We purchased one bowl after the first flood recovery-it was found down river, a testament to durability, persistence and resurrection. The guy managing the store was very helpful! There were different items for sale and I didn't know what I needed. He explained the differences between all of the items and he helped me get what I needed for my nephew. I also learned that pre-COVID the store would host Pokémon games in one of the rooms. I think that's awesome that the store hosted games where the community could get together. I hope they resume once the COVID era ends. (Do adults play Pokémon? After talking to him, I think it would be fun to learn.) Since this was my first time in a sport card shop, I was even able to get a small pack of baseball cards for my friend who collects them. The store was bright and cheery and had a happy atmosphere. I had a great customer service experience and would definitely go there again and recommend it to anyone.
