Was not even in the area and I just happened to drop by here by accident. From outside, you see some giant crystals in the window display, and that itself is enough to get the attention of those who partake in the elements. I parked a little ways down so I could be about halfway between my real destination and the crystal shop. I stepped inside and was shocked by how big it was! Like wow. Small rocks, medium rocks, big rocks, BIGGER rocks, books, incense, oils, necklaces, rings, spiritual statues... they truly had a lot. What made it even better was the late 90s / early 00s R&B they were playing. This time I wasn't quite on a mission, but it was still such a blast to explore everything that they had to offer. I think there was only one staff member around -- she was floating on the floor and when I approached the register (I did end up finding something) she immediately came over. She was very sweet. This is the largest crystals, incenses, taro cards, stones, figurines, ... collection shop in Maryland. There are so many varieties, large selections of everything. And prices are very reasonable. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable with the items inside the shop. They are also very patient with customers' questions. Due to the amount of items they have inside this not a huge space shop, can feel a little crowded when more customers present. But they did a great job on categorizing the items and keeping them sorted and well displayed. Street parking only, which can be a bit hard to find sometimes. TOTAL LACK OF ETHICS, NASTY ATTITUDE, SCAMMY POLICIES, DISREGARD FOR PATRONS. A long time ago this place had a decent vibe but no more. Every so often i need something and check in here, hoping maybe it has improved. This time I bought a patterned cloth I needed to cover one of those 4-8 foot long tables you get at Pathways and other fairs. It was wrapped in clear plastic. When I got it home, opened it up, and took it out, it stunk really bad, and I mean bad, like rancid sh**. I hung it up to try to air it out, but it was useless. Finally I bought something elsewhere to replace it, as I doubted washing it would help, and of course if I washed it, I could no longer return it. So I brought it back, within the weeky, WITH THE RECEIPT. The boy at the counter would not take it back and give me a refund. Said he could only give me store credit. Well, it goes without saying, I didn't need another stinky cloth, and I had no intention of buying anything else, at least not for some time. In any case, it was not as if I changed my mind about the color or the size, and wanted to switch it.. No, the merchandise was unusable, defective, or damaged, and god knows how much other un-usable, aged, improperly stored, smell-like-Sh** stuff they are trying to pawn off on people. When you sell garbage, you should refund people. Period. Whatever new-agey facade you want to put on it -- just out to make a buck, no matter how they make it. If this were the only unethical practice of theirs, it would be one thing, but it's not. These people don't even have the sense to act decently towards vendors who do fairs, each time encountering dozens if not hundreds of people from the DC-Baltimore corridor, that could be promoting their shop. read more

Everything here is SO EXPENSIVE. Like to the point it's impossible to afford. Not only is it a far trip to drive out here, but then you're easily spending $100 on probably 2 items that you could have gotten ANYWHERE else for $20. It's so over priced. Don't get me wrong, the stuff is high quality and it's nice. But you're really just paying for the convenience of buying it in a store compared to online and having it delivered. But you would save so much money buying it anywhere else... There's nothing special about buying the stuff here compared to elsewhere. The prices are just outrageous for no reason. I've been to literally every single metaphorical shop in the state of Maryland and this is definitely the most expensive one. It has the largest selection and it has a little bit of everything. It has cauldrons, books, but a kind of bland selection of tarot and oracle decks. Don't get me wrong, I do really like this store and what it has! I just hate the prices. The store was recommended to me by a friend when I mention to her that I wanted a stronger presence of crystals in my life. It is easy to find on a cute Main Street area of Laurel Maryland. I went on a Saturday afternoon and parking was easy to find on the street. This store is packed with everything that you need want and didn't know you needed and wanted for your spiritual practice. SCAM ALERT!!!! Be very careful with what you purchase here. Bought 7oz of shungite rocks here and they turned out to be fakes. $230.00 is not anything to laugh at. The clerk talked a good one of the origins of the product and its authenticity. This actually was a red flag for me. Usually when people over sale something it's because they trying to get over on you. I spent 4 hours of my day going there and having to drive back! As soon as I walked in the clerk knew it was not good. I showed him a test to prove it was fake and he immediately knew the gig was up. Full refund! read more

This metaphysical store was a nice find while passing through the area. Inside looks like it has just about most things that someone would be looking for in this type of place. When I stopped in, the employees were taking precaution with only allowing a certain amount of customers into the store at a time. While in the store, I was specifically looking for sage and Palo santo spray -- which they carried it and much more. They have just about everything in there. I picked up an awesome candle with amethyst and lavender in there (you can also place the essential oil from the candle onto your body), crystals, and Florida water. The employees were helpful and nice. Apparently if you spend over $50, you get a certain perk. Which is really nice for people who frequents. The Crystal Fox is a cool metaphysical shop located on Main Street in Laurel. Depending on the time of day or day of the week, parking can be tricky because it's street parking. The store is chock full of everything! This is a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing is that there's such a big variety of things to find here from crystals to incense to tarot cards and much more. The bad is that the store is literally a clusterf*ck. Some things aren't labeled. You may find yourself digging through boxes and crates, lifting things to get to other things. Also, in my experiences, I've never seen an employee on the floor who could just be of assistance. I'm sure many people have a lot of questions as they're looking at or for different things. It can be a pain having to go up to the counter to ask a question each time. It was like I got a hello from my old girl within minutes of walking in - she melted my heart! Lily-boy is gray and white and she followed a customer in for snacks and pets - he melted my heart even further. I'm a sucker for felines and this was such a lovely unexpected treat Aside from that, they've got an amazing incense selection, which was why I found myself here this morning. Out of this world! I planned to spend about 30 minutes in this shop when I discovered it, and once I arrived I was there for at least two hours until they were literally closing for the evening. I began learning about crystals during the pandemic, and then I began collecting them. Despite living in San Francisco there were often stones I wanted that were unavailable and impossible to find. Cute little gem in Laurel! I've gone out of my way to come here on multiple occasions and never leave unsatisfied. Sometimes on the weekends it can get a bit busy and because of how much inventory they hold,the shop can get very crowded and hard to navigate. Overall they have an amazing crystal selection and one of the best candle selections in the state of Maryland! The entire vibe of the business is very calm and inviting and always inspires me to go home and freshen up my altar. I've brought friends and family here and they have always been impressed! Prices range from normal to low and there are great opportunities for discounted prices. They offer clothing, jewelry, candles, essential oils, statues, supplies for rituals, as well as books of all kinds to expand your library. There are many online stores that try to duplicate a metaphysical store like this, but nothing compares with walking into this store and seeing their very broad selection for yourself. There was a very lazy young male who worked at the shop. We asked for a location of an item that may or may not be available. He pointed and said "Not sure, may be over there" pointing to a stand of about 20 kinds of stones. His energy was negative. He continued chatting with a coworker (who was not as knowledgeable but much more eager to help us) and his conversation was complaining and whinning. I was told about this location by my massage therapist. I had this flagged for months before I actually came. I was impressed that the cliente was blended as far as age, ethnicity and subcultures. I came for a few crystals (from a list) and went a bit overboard. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I'm stocked up for now as far as getting the sage & crystals... A friend and I ventured to Laurel all because of this place. They had a 10 person limit in the store so the line got pretty long outside. Each person had 15 min to shop and needed to wear a mask. Anything you can imagine was in this store, crystals, incense, sound bowls, etc. my friend picked up a few crystals while I got incense. Def will be back again. read more
