Was looking forward to shopping a new to me crystal shop while visiting a friend. The shop is just chocked full of anything you could imagine a metaphysical store would have! With a 15:00 time limit on shopping it's difficult to even do a quick once over. If you know what you need it'd be ok - go in, ask, check out. Otherwise I wouldn't waste your time going in to browse. The store was pretty messy and just not very well organized. I picked out a stone and the cashier said what it was but the sign clearly displayed on it said something completely different. The workers were pretty gruff about the capacity limit and making people wait outside. I guess that's just the situation Maryland is in right now but they could be a bit kinder about it (as opposed to shouting from across the store about waiting and capacity and how you only have 15:00 to shop). The prices are quite high compared to where I normally shop, as well. So, all in all I rated it a 3 because there is tons of inventory so you could probably find anything you're looking for but the experience was less than stellar, bordering on unpleasant. read more

I came from Baltimore to Laurel to go to Fright Fest at Six Flags. I was looking around for other things and found this GEM. This place is great. They have everything. They have stones, crystals, herbs, oils, tarot selection is great. They have an incredible selection on Wicca and Witchcraft books along with other related topics. They have great necklaces and medallions. The have beautiful huge crystals. The tools and supplies they sell could accommodate any religion mostly pagan but all types. The Crystal Fox is a "new age" and "alternative religion" store that's been located on Main Street Laurel for as long as I can remember. I visited the store every so often, although mostly with friends who were Pagan/Wiccan rather than for anything I needed. It's always been an interesting and welcoming place, even after it moved to a slightly bigger location on the same street. For those unsure of what to find here, you'll find just about anything you would need for practicing non-Judeo-Christian-Islamic religion (and even a few things ~for~ those religions). While the majority is related to European Pagan practices (Wiccan, Druidism, etc.), you'll also find a few things for Buddhism, Hinduism, Shinto, Native American religions, etc. People interested in Tarot, Astrology, Crystals, Yoga, and all forms of spiritual pursuits should check in here. In addition to these, you'll find all sorts of other interesting things, including incense, herbs, books, card games, etc. I honesty recommend Crystal Fox not only to support a local business but because it is probably the largest collection of New Age/Alt. I used to be a loyal customer at this shop. The employees have always been friendly and helpful. However, it is not the customer service that I have a problem with. I hate physical shopping. I am an online shopper, but I was loyal to Crystal Fox. I would make a special trip every time to make sure I had all my supplies for my craft. I would bring others with me all the time to show them your shop. I had Crystal Fox advertised at my hotel and used to send all our customers to shop there. I went out of my way to speak about and praise Crystal Fox. It has now been taken down!! Today, I was informed they no longer honor their star system properly, that you could not complete more than one order, and that only one man (She said his name was Sterling) could do anything about well... anything. The store clerks sounded incompetent and as if the management needs to micromanage everything they do. Some of the changes may be small, but I have noticed the change in the shop recently. Being dishonest with your guests and changing policies/rules depending on who is working the register, is no way to run a business. I know companies do not care if they lose one customer. But it should be known by new and future customers, that you are no longer an honest business that honors and cares about your customers. You are now like the corporate businesses who just want the money of the people and it's sad. Your store used to be the best one around. Being back home in MD means that I get to visit my favorite crystal shop! This shop just has the nicest most friendly staff, seriously it's like visiting friends every time you go! They always are seeming to pack fantastic little extras in your bag too even if it's a incense, it will be the best dang smelling incense you ever did sniff! As far as products go they are a one stop shop! You can pick up just about anything on your list here, and if they don't have it I'm sure they can help you hunt it down! AND THEY SHIP! This place is a good for the spiritual stuff that I need right away. I needed a couple of healing pendulums, and this is the place where I found them. The store is a bit cluttered, but that's also because they cover many holistic and spiritual belief systems. They have a lot of crystals, books, interesting looking statues and incense. The high rating is for the store's contents, and the vibe of it which I love and that it's close and carries so many items. I've been here maybe five times and it's always very chill, with ok customer service. They're friendly at the register mostly but some employees seemed very abrupt and like they didn't want to be bothered. Not in a rude way, just kind of short, so I just google my questions instead of asking them lol. I also receive discounts via email that I can use, which is cool. I enjoy wandering the store to look for things because there are so many beautiful and creative things to look at, but if you're in a rush you should probably just ask where to look because otherwise you might wander for a while lol. I went to this shop with a friend for the first time yesterday and we both have agreed to return on a monthly basis!!! This place was amazing!!! If you're claustrophobic, then you might want to browse their online items because it's packed with everything but the kitchen sink! I went into this looking for some crystals and I found more than I could imagine. They have all sorts of crystals in all shapes and sizes; most are reasonable priced. They have books, candles, essential oils, incense, jewelry, clothing, and so much more. The people were so helpful and knowledgeable about every items in the store. I'm coming back because I felt so calm and refreshed when I left the shop. My mind and heart were uncluttered after being able to ask questions, get recommendations and getting the items that called out to me. I've literally never left a review in my life so this should indicate how much this pissed me off. The short guy who was rude to me for my fourth time coming into the store is the reason I will never be coming back. As I was searching for a black tourmaline bracelet on my own, they rudely asked me to move out of their way as if their task was more important than me browsing for the exact thing I was looking for. They haphazardly look, then they give up saying they'll come back when I'm finished. After he moves out of my way I proceed to find the bracelet in all of 2 seconds. I don't think you should train employees to move customers out of the way as they shop. And since my google review was deleted, I'm posting again here because I knew they would try to cover it up. I really did like this store and all of their products seemed legit, however, some of the bracelets that they were selling seemed like they were made out of glass. I have a real rose quartz at home and the bracelets that were made from real "rose quartz" at the store felt more like glass then they did an actual rose quartz. Waited in line for over 10 minutes trying to purchase two item. a stone and a ring. A girl who cut the line while myself and other were patiently waiting got helped first....Even though i was waiting for more than 10 minutes..... the employee had seen the girl cut the line and still helped her even though the employee had saw me and the long line waiting patiently. This shop is great but it REALLLY, TRULY, DESPERATELY needs PROFESSIONAL customer service training or consulting. From the staff to the events they have. I have never been impressed by the staff further than their knowledge of the items in the store. The past life regression class would have been to die for if it was in a BIGGER, professional space rather than a claustrophobic storage room in the back of the shop. My friends and I ventured 30 mins out to main st in search of a crystal store and this store was recommended to us for their great selections, we entered the store at a not so busy time so we weren't told about a shopping time limit like the rest of the reviews mention. I gave this place 2 stars because the selection was amazing but the staff made it to be the most terrible customer service experince I've had in my 21 years of living, upon entry to the store we were stared at by almost all the employees, it was awkward and uncomfortable and the least we were expecting was a simple "hello" or "welcome to crystal fox"..... we literally got nothing !!! Not a peep!! Just stares... we decided to continue to shop even after that weird vibe and I went to ask a young man at the counter if they had shopping baskets, because me having shopping etiquette I didn't want to just start grabbing such small crystals with my hands... anyways, the young man looks me in my face with a blank stare and without saying a word points to the baskets in the corner of the store... then rolls his eyes obnoxiously... another strike for BAD customer service!!! If you're not mute then speak when spoken to!! I just think it was beyond rude how he just pointed with a attitude instead of simply saying "over there ma'm" not to mention.... The shopping baskets were literally big with large holes that the crystals and clearly fall through. We continue to try to enjoy our shopping experience despite the icy staff and as we are minding our business half way through the isle a overweight Caucasian lady snaps at my friend to put her mask on or they can get in trouble/ closed down... keep in mind my friends mask was LITERALLY not off of her face at all!!! My friends and i were so confused who she was talking to because her mask was clearly on her face, and this employee completed targeted us with obvious racist agenda... not to mention there were about two other customers in the store with their masks completely down, Which was the shocking part of it all. Visited during the pandemic. Upon arrival there was approximately a 5 minute wait to enter the store. There was a 7 customer limit, with a 15 minute per person shopping duration. The staff presented as harried but approachable. Both women behind the counter were very friendly and efficient. The store was fantastic. Well stocked. Cozy, but organized. Items were well labeled and easy to access. I will definitely visit again. I am only rating this visit 4 stars as I did not have enough time, as a first time visitor, to really explore and get to appreciate the breadth of items available. Don't be intimidated. This place is cool. I come here all the time for incense (10 cents per stick) and crystals and just to look at all the other merchandise. There are books on spirituality, self empowerment, understanding different rituals and histories. It's a great place to discover something new. And all the employees are very knowledgeable about the products, so ask away. The staff is usually friendly when I go but they don't hover. So they may be talking amongst themselves, or catching up with the regulars or doing whatever else they have to do. But let them know that you need help and they will help you, no problem. read more

I'm so sad to write this review, but my last few visits to The Crystal Fox have been terrible and I hope that this could help improve the services here. I have been visiting The Crystal Fox for several years now, always being amazed by the amount of crystals in the store. I would always leave out with something: a crystal, bracelet, incense, sage, etc. After finding other reliable places to purchase crystals, I realized that the ones at The Crystal Fox were about 50% more than what I can find them for. Nonetheless, I still wanted to support this business so I would continue to purchase jewelry, incense, candles, tarot cards etc. The items in the store are intriguing, but the customer service will be the reason why I can't return to the store. The last several times I've been to The Crystal Fox, I have experienced the same terrible attitude and negative energy from the same person. This girl has short dark hair and is usually at the cash register. Every time I asked her a question, she would have an attitude and roll her eyes after answering my question as if i was bothering her. She has completely ruined the vibe for me during my visits, enough that I don't want to return. It's unfortunate because I loved supporting this black owned business and never minded paying a little extra for quality items, but it's not worth the negative energy and terrible attitude I get from the employees. After going to another crystal store close by, they expressed that they get a lot of customers that complain about the customer service at The Crystal Fox which confirmed that it's not only my experience, but how the employees are treating their customers. read more

I love this store! I have been coming for years. So many fun trinkets and decorative items as well as healing crystals. Everything there is unique and beautiful. I have a lot of their stuff hanging in my room I love coming here for rings and jewelry as well. There is a large assortment of rings for every sized figure. Also!! There's a cat that is so cute.
