I looked through the board games section and could see all the popular board games were available. including a hard find character pack for marvel champions. In addition to the board games there's more miniatures and paints to choose from. The back half of the store is dedicated to playing the games, whether it's magic, lorcana, warhammer, board games, dnd, all games are welcome. There's dedicated nights for different games and events so check out the calandar. The store looks great, is clean with snacks and beverages available to buy. If you're looking for something, let them know. Great place to stop in, play a few games and support a local business.

I had lunch nearby and have been hearing about this place for a few months. I kept telling myself I wanted to drop by, and this was my opportunity! They've been around for just a few years. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in. And I just started browsing the colorful shelves of board and card games. Near the register, big plushies (Kirby too) were on display. My cousin would've liked one, but maybe next time. I appreciated that the games were all in alphabetical order. A card game called Aquarius immediately caught my eye, and some random holiday mini puzzles that are perfect stocking stuffers. Never too early to shop! Past the shelves, I noticed a bunch of tables designed for playing board games, and I saw some shelves nearby loaded with games anyone who comes in can freely play (when the tables are open, of course). They were offering a LOT... more than I've seen anywhere else I think. I ended up chatting with Boyd about how cool the store is, and while I ended up asking what board games might be fit for the more casual game nights -- i.e. shorter ones that aren't too complex. He had tons of recommendations. Including the one I preordered and picked up a few days later, I added 4 new board games to my library, like Wavelength, Kites, and We're Doomed! So far I've only played Aquarius (which I LOVE), but I am super excited about opening the rest when the time comes. They have trading card game (TCG) and board game nights... they'll give you a calendar to stay up to date! I have already recommended this place to a bunch of friends I know enjoy stuff like this. Hope they continue to do well!

Place has soul, peacefulness and a sense of community. It's got a nice feel. Owner Steuart was very friendly, took his time to explain stuff I have no idea buying and helped me greatly. It's not commercial money place like many others I have seen.

I was exhausted and generally not having a great time, but that immediately changed after walking in. I had a lovely chat with the staff present, got to see (and buy) some really interesting and gorgeous dice made by local artists, and fair prices across the board. The general stock was priced reasonably (especially compared to the shops near me around DC), and all the handmade and custom pieces were priced individually, considering the work that clearly went into them and properly supporting the local artists they work with. It was such a clearly supportive, pleasant, and fun environment that I am planning on driving the hour-long trip back soon, for the sole purpose of going here (and maybe even join in one of the one-shots they run.)

Walking in at 1 PM on a Thursday and there were a few customers enjoying the gaming area up front. Enjoyed browsing the collection of figures, magazines, comics and massive collection of games. The arcade machines are a nice touch and there is plenty to keep you entertained. Early 2000's rock was playing on their sound system and the staff all seemed to be very willing to help as I was able to easily leave a request for a callback if a specific NECA figure came into stock. The arcade machines included Arcade1UP machines alongside a Pandora Box DX multi arcade cabinet setup inside of a Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo machine which seemed to have working controls from my play testing. Marley Station is a pretty low traffic mall but I could easily see dropping by when I am in the area even thought I don't have much need to buy video games these days. Prices seemed pretty fair for this kind of store and in general felt like a main attraction for the entire mall.

I came in looking for retro game consoles and accessories, and left disappointed on just about…read moreevery front. The selection is minimal and wildly overpriced, and what's actually on the floor is dominated by open-box figures and toys rather than games. The handhelds are kept in a case at the counter, which would be fine if the case weren't in such rough shape -- one console was falling off its shelf and wedged against the side of the display, which isn't a great sign for how the stock is handled. The state of the store overall was honestly alarming to me. The employee I spoke with didn't help either. I asked a few simple questions about what they carry and how often they get it in, and every response was technically an answer without being remotely useful. I left knowing no more than when I came in. I'd much rather give my money to a local shop than to eBay, and I went in wanting to like this place. But a first impression like this one makes it hard to see myself coming back.

As stated on their website, "We take pride in being more than just a bookstore. We are a vibrant community hub, hosting events, book clubs, and providing personalized reading services that deepen your connection with stories and fellow book lovers. We believe that everyone can find themselves in the pages of a book, and we're here to help you on that journey." You can clearly see that mission reflected as you walk around the store. The book selection, displays, and merchandise all demonstrate thoughtful attention to detail. Everything is well organized, making it easy to browse, and the staff is knowledgeable and happy to help with finding the right selection or suggesting information about upcoming events. They also offered to order certain books to store if they were not on the shelf! In regard to community outreach, their social media pages clearly communicate upcoming events and highlight their wide variety of book clubs. I attended the Dark Romance Book Club and was please with how well the store facilitated the discussion, especially given the large size of the group. Coming in for the meeting, chairs had already been placed out in a circle for members to sit. The conversation was engaging and well organized with employees asking questions that had clearly been researched beforehand. My only complaint is that parking can be scarce during busy hours such as book club events, particularly after snowfall when available spaces are more limited. Overall, I love visiting this bookstore. It has a lovely charm and a makes a wonderful connection with its customers. It is an asset to our local community as a small hub. I look forward to seeing how their small business grows. I felt comfortable to ask followup questions - I love to talk!

Said tonight was for everyone, and we ruined it." Moments later, with tears running down her eyes, Liz makes a startling confession. "I care about you so much. You're my best friend, my sister. I try to think of what my life would be like without you in it, and it makes me sick inside." Liz pauses. "Your popularity and success, it's all great. It's what you deserve. I should be happy for you, right? And, I mean, in a way, I am, but...I needed desperately to be Homecoming Queen. Not because I am trying to feel superior to anyone, or because I have it coming to me. I needed it so...so maybe I could stop feeling like...I hate you." Eventually, the panels of the fourth issue of Sean McKeever and Takeshi Miyazawa's Mary Jane: Homecoming miniseries end in complete silence--with the two lifelong friends each riding one of the adjacent swings Liz seized for them in elementary school, but the words that Liz spoke before are what spark the imagination and trigger empathy, regret, anger, and love. Sentences in the best-written novels, mysteries, fantasies, speculative histories, and gothic horror do that too; and there is no better place to discover new sequences of words that will linger in your memory than Queen Takes Book, located at 6955 Oakland Mills Road in Columbia, Maryland. There, the friendly service will welcome you as if to the sparking embers of a fireplace in which only your imaginations are lit.
