I was happy to stumble upon this coffee roaster on a trip to Fort Langley. They're kinda tucked into an alleyway, but since Fort Langley isn't a huge town, it's not hard to find. I bought the Fort Langley beans and have enjoyed a cup or two. It's a pleasant dark/medium blend that gives me enough flavor and punch in the morning. I also got the chance to sample the medium roast brewing the day I walked into the cafe. A few types of beans are on the steep side price-wise ($30 for Cuban). But the Fort Langley blend cost $16 for a 454g bag of beans. It's a decent price for what you get. This is the blend I took home, and I'm satisfied with what I got. If you're in Fort Langley and a coffee connoisseur, then I definitely recommend stopping by here. You'll appreciate it.

I'm rarely out in Fort Langley, but I had a couple meetings out here recently, so I popped into Republica to grab some caffeine and get some work done. Republica is a bit hidden in a cute little alley in Fort Langley village. The space inside is fairly open with very minimal seating, and smells like roasted coffee beans, which I love. I ordered myself an iced oat milk latte, which I enjoyed. The girl taking my order was friendly, helpful, and even went out of her way to find the owner's business card for me, which I really appreciated. On a beautiful day, you can enjoy your coffee outside in their shared communal space, where there are plenty of picnic tables. They even offer to bring out umbrellas for you to give you some shade. This is exactly what I did sans umbrella (it was nice of them to offer though!). If I'm out here for any meetings in the future, I'll be sure to pop back in here for another cup o' joe!

    It's tucked into Gasoline Alley.

I have been wanting to visit Republica in Langley ever since I discovered their wonderful locally roasted coffee and I finally made it today. It was a beautiful drive down country roads to this location. I ordered an americano misto with coconut agave. Love their selection of various agave flavours. The coffee was hot, just like I like it, and the coffee was smooth and perfectly roasted. A few select cafes/retailers carry their coffee in town.

The iced maple latte lacked maple flavour. Staff were quick to fix the issue and added an extra pump of syrup. I felt like the latte was underwhelming if I had to go back to get the drink fixed. Maybe the hot drinks are more promising? The coffee shop is cute. There was lots of their own brand merchandise up for sale. Seating inside is limited. There are benches just outside the shop.

The best coffee I have ever tasted in my entire life! One cup and I have been hooked since! I love the freshness and nothing beats the smoothness imbued in every blend... Coupled with the alkaline water used to brew, the result is pure addiction!!! Come in for a sample and leave with your own lb of freshly roasted coffee heaven!!!

    A look into the warehouse!

Most excellent roasted coffees and teas. Grab something to go and walk the town. Take a bag of beans or tea home for the rest of the week.

Only serves coffee but it's damn good coffee. It's kind of hidden away as well. There's a huge patio but no heaters.

The best coffee in my opinion. Always grab a bag of dark roast and a cup of coffee when I'm in the area.

This isn't a sterile chain shop--it's a warm, sunshiny hub built from beautiful wood tones, welcoming you to slow down and stay awhile. What immediately strikes you is how wonderfully curated the space is. Despite being "jam-packed" with thousands of quality used and collectible books, the store manages to feel open, airy, and inviting. The selection is fantastic, especially their deep cuts in Pacific Northwest History, general fiction, and esoterica. Browsing is a delight thanks to the meticulous organization that makes finding that hidden literary gem feel like a genuine discovery. The "Coffeehouse" part of the name is equally crucial. Serving delicious, locally-sourced coffee (like Olympia Coffee Roasters beans) and boasting a pastry case filled with unique treats--the legendary rosemary sea salt rolls, figgy bars, and baked goods are must-tries--it perfectly complements the reading experience. The friendly, attentive staff, who are clearly passionate about bookselling, are always ready to offer a recommendation or assist, often going above and beyond. Whether you're looking for a quiet, bright nook to get some work done, a comfortable chair to sip a vanilla bean latte, or an engaging evening out for a poetry reading or live piano music, Pelican Bay delivers. It's a bookstore with character, clearly beloved by locals and a mandatory stop for any visitor. It's the kind of place you'll remember long after you've left Anacortes. Highly, highly recommend!

Great place for pictures, affordable great quality second hand books, and oh did I mention it's also a coffee shop. I mean could it get any better? No I don't think it could. I genuinely felt so happy the moment I stepped inside this store. It's just such a beautiful space that feels cozy and inviting. After walking around a bit I went to order a coffee. And I honestly don't think I've ever met nicer baristas in my life! They were all so sweet and kind and helpful! I tried out the fig leaf latte and the autumn tea latte and both were spectacular! Great flavor and smoothness. Overall I love this bookstore and it's well worth the drive! Definitely a hidden gem! I'll be back!!

I was told by the staff that the business has been around eighteen years and is still doing great. Being inside the café is like being in a very nice cabin. I ordered the Wicked Thai Chicken soup and the Pumpkin Spiced Latte with whipped cream. The soup was fantastic and did not taste watered down whatsoever. The Thai chicken was full of piquancy and zest. The latte really stood out with how potent the pumpkin spice was and the whipped cream was a very nice addition. The drink was thoroughly enjoyable with how sweet and flavourful every sip was. I also ordered the Apple Caramel Muffin and the Haystack Brownie; both were very great baked goods to follow-up from the soup. I really like the service there; staff is very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed eating at Kanaka and I know everyone that went there does as well. I cannot wait to come to patronize at this lovely café again.
