Wow what a great little place!! I love the decor and the staff. Pamela was helping us out, telling us about good stuff on the menu, letting us sample beers, and just being super friendly and nice. I would come back just to see her! I got the crispy chicken sandwich, which was HUGE. The picture does not do it justice. It was amazingly crispy without being overcooked, and coated in Korean honey butter and a wonderful kimchi. I couldn't decide if I liked the regular fries or the garlic cheese fries better. Worth trying both my husband got the bacon Monte Cristo and it was also great! Wonderful texture and flavor, the raspberry preserves were perfect. We got a beer suggested by Pamela that went great with lunch. We will drive from Spokane to go here for their great happy hour specials! read more

What an awesome find in Post Falls! A lot of restaurants in northern Idaho seem to be very hit or miss, but definitely not here! This place is a little house that has been converted into an amazing place to hang! The vibe/decor is urban-rustic - lots of cool stuff hanging up on the walls (eccentric little bar too!) If this place was located in LA, you would never be able to get in. There is limited (but intimate!) dining space, so if you're planning to come on a busy night, maybe call ahead! We came just for happy hour - the snacks & drink deals were a steal.... $6 for selected yummy apps, $4 for craft draft beer, & other discounted drinks. We tried the nachos, loaded fries, & best of all the spicy cauliflower poppers! Those were our favorite - suuuper spicy & addicting! Went for restaurant week. The belly bites and cauliflower tacos were just amazing. But then came dessert. Advertised as huckleberry blackberry Sunday. Basically a deconstructed pie with ice cream. What came out was a crisp. Not the same thing, especially for someone that is not a fan of cinnamon. Nothing in the description of pie or sundae indicates that spice. Holy smokes! Where do I start? My wife and I chose RKT for a our lunch date spot today and it was absolutely fantastic! My wife ordered the Pork Belly Fried Rice which came highly recommended by our server and it did not disappoint. Really, really good! I had the Pastrami Sandwich, which was absolute DYNAMITE! Been a couple of times but most recent visit was superb. Spicy fried cauliflower caused a problem as all four at our table were jockeying to get the last couple pieces. My burger was awesome. The atmosphere and people are fantastic! The food is VERY good. I'm going to be picky though. It is obvious (to a foodie) that the chef is talented, but young. Creative, but not experienced. The fair was great, but needed to be a little bit... simpler. The complexity was creative, but overpowering. To much "extra" and not enough if the original "soul" of the dish being personalized. We loved the garlic dip! The chips were cooked perfectly crisp but the seasoning they use, was super hot! I was bummed because I wanted to have more dip but couldn't because my lips and mouth were so hot. Loved the Monte Cristo as well! read more

This is my new favorite restaurant! Shared a few different things off the menu and everything was amazing. I love that it isn't the usual pub fare, but rather a unique twist on favorites. I absolutely adored the Cauliflower Tacos and the Avocado Nachos were too die for! And the drink menu....I was only able to try the Prohibition Cooler, but there are a number of drinks I want to try on my next visit. Definitely recommend! The only bad thing is how small this place is. Probably not my go-to restaurant without reservations as i am not sure we could get a table. read more

Epicly disappointed with this place. The service was TERRIBLE. I asked for a glass of water when the waitress greeted us, and four more times. The final time was after my meal had arrived and I asked the manager (owner?) who promptly brought me one. This was extra irritating considering I was sitting outside on a 90° evening. The food is priced reasonably but it is highly pretentious. I ordered the smoked wings and they came to me dry and over cooked. No one inquired why I only ate half of one and pushed it aside. As for the tap selection there was a decent range of local-ish brews but nothing that would keep me coming back. Not to mention they were served warm. Where is the passion Republic? read more

We went to Republic Tap-house tonight for dinner. What a disaster. They had a small limited menu due to some issues with the ovens, which is fine, I get it, but if you are trying to build a customer base then you simply have to try harder. The one server couldn't keep up with the 10 or so customers on hand tonight. Warm beer, silverware came after the food was served, had to ask for things more than once, you get it, just not good. I will say the food was pretty good, but when you can see the back yard has garbage as high as the fence line, it's probably because the owners don't care. Good luck to them. I had dinner at Republic when I was visiting my sister and we had heard positive things about the restaurant. I was served an uncooked burger and the server assured me it was fine. When the server finally looked at my burger, he was really embarrassed and took the burger off the bill. The couple next to us told us they were taking their food home to cook it longer since their order wasn't cooked either. Luckily, I didn't get food poisoning from it, but it was a really disappointing experience. read more

The service was good, no ice in the water, but I didn't go there to drink the water! The food was really good, lots of flavor! Loved the avocado nachos, the pretzel was good as well. Hubby had the monte Cristo, I had the brat sliders, both were excellent and full of flavor, nice change from the typical restaurant fare. This food was so poorly made, slapped together, and utterly skimped on correct ingredients. The monte cristo sandwiches (we we were highly anticipating and had read so much about) could have been made better by a 4 year old, they were sad beyond belief! One limp piece of bacon, not enough cheese to even stick the bread together, not crispy and freshly grilled, they were empty of ingredients, cold and terrible. What a total disappointment. So much for a satisfied craving : ( Also- bizarrely and sadly the fish & chips weren't very good. Super super fishy. I know that sounds odd, but I've had some good, fresh, crisp fish in the area- this was too stinky fishy. Overall so disappointed. This is a cute place and I knew they had a more unique menu so I was anxious to try the food. I went with my husband for lunch and we were a bit disappointed. First of all, it is pretty expensive. Chili mac for $16 is pretty high. It tasted pretty good and came in a VERY hot serving plate...but the food itself was luke warm. I had the potato leek soup...which I usually LOVE...but again, it wasn't even hot. The flavor was "ok"...but it was super thick which I didn't like very much and the carmelized leeks looked kind of ugly and stringy in a pea soup looking soup. All in all, just didn't live up to my expectations. Nice servers and they were pretty fast...but I'm guessing because all of this food was just sitting in the back ready to go. Our bill for chili mac, a bowl of soup and 2 ice teas was about $34.00. Ouch! read more

Then we sat and waited for a good 15 min without so much as water. Getting our food took an extremely long time too and the place isn't big so not like they had a ton of tables to service. We went with friends and were so excited to try it out because it's close to home. The inside is very cute and quaint. We all ordered burgers and each had one drink. The food was good, not great, and the beer selection was sufficient. Everything was good until the bill came. It was $100 for four people for HAMBURGERS!!!! We are all retired so $25 each for a burger and beer seems very excessive. I don't see us going back for that reason only. We can buy a LOT of groceries for $100! read more

I believe in this place. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. They've got some work to do to positively contribute to the food scene in Eastern WA / North Idaho. Only been once so can only speak to the fact the roasted avocado sandwich missed the mark on texture having no contrast, hostess didn't know what a saison was... and they had one on their tap list. Wife's salad was a "large". They should add another size for those that want an actual meal out of their salad order. Pretzel was good. The last sentence sums it up. It's just mediocre good. It's not Crafted or Saranac ' s pretzel. This place comes off as an imitator that has not yet carved out it's own. But they can do it. They just can't assume the public will be auto-charmed by familiar sounding beers and menu items indicative of a gastropub down the road. .. read more
