Spoke with Nick, over the phone at first. I mentioned how I've been going crazy looking for some mini mealworms in the area. Petco/Petsmart seem to label theirs as "small" mealworms but aren't small enough for my jumping spider. I still bought them just to see if they worked for her but she has fought with one before and couldn't seem to eat in peace since :( that's how my hunt on smaller meal worms started. He was honest and mentioned they had some but might be a bit big for a baby jumping spider. Mine is full grown luckily so I thought I'd check them out myself in person. They were the perfect size, some even came smaller than I expected! I mentioned how I was starting to really worry on what to do. Nick was kind enough to donate the first batch just to see if she likes them and if they are the perfect size for her. They have a few dedicated rooms, one which houses some of the biggest geckos I've ever seen. Tons of tanks and equipment, frozen feeders and live feeder bugs. Isopods and springtails and everything else you'd need to start any bioactive setup. Tons of little chachkies, stickers, and toys for the kids and enthusiasts. Went in to look at what tarantulas they had. All ages, which you don't see at typical pet stores! Everyone was so kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Fell in love with one of their baby Australian Blue Tongue Skinks (had one years ago and was one of our best pets!), was extremely docile. They even have jumping spiders! They carry many supplies, all type and size of enclosures. Will definitely be back to get a young, beginner tarantula (1-1 1/2 inches) for our son. read more

OH MY GAWD. This place is INCREDIBLE. We drove all the way from Irvine JUST to grab some coffee and see some snakes. Literally 15 seconds after entering we met the nicest staff member who showed us a female MBK. The snake I've always wanted, but never pulled the trigger for. Ugh my heart. 2 hours later, one friendly couple, 100 insightful tips and tricks from Ed the owner, one enclosure and a beautiful baby snake (plus our coffee from next door), we left so thrilled and happy with our experience. The NICEST people we have ever met. We've never owned a snake before and they were so kind and patient with all of our questions and concerns. Love their honesty as well, nothing was forced or pushed on us - in fact, the opposite. You can just feel their passion and love. We made the decision knowing we have their full support for any questions or concerns that may come up in the future.
