It was a friendly crowd, and we got to hold some of these fascinating reptiles after signing a waiver and making a donation or paying a small fee. We also supported some of the reptile rescue organizations by buying merchandise, plus shopped for gifts at the vendor booths. Entry tickets were $15 each. Parking was also $15 (though we had the missus drop us and pick us up). There was food available - we shared super nachos ($15 again!), which were filling and delicious. Bathrooms were well maintained, and there was hand sanitizer everywhere! Will be back next year!

We have shopped at Pet Food Express for at least 20 years. The Livermore location is our "go to" store. The person who has consistently helped me the most over the years is Linda. She is knowledgeable, offers informed opinions, is perpetually polite and positive, and she understands dogs. Fortunately, she still works part time there and I always look for her when I go and the reason I shop there for my many rescues. I spend a lot of time and money there. The long story short: I picked up two 8 month old siblings from Bakersfield from a foster situation who needed a new situation. I did not expect to find two filthy puppies, weak, dehydrated, emaciated, terrified, and covered with fleas and ticks. When I say ticks, I mean at least a thousand on each dog! I drove to Livermore as fast as I could to my usual Pet Food Express hoping to find Linda working. My luckiest day! She was there. My husband met me to help manage the situation. I bought 4 tokens, an excellent brand of flea/tick shampoo, and treats. I knew this was going to be stressful for the pups ( who never were exposed to anything new, were exhausted, and overwhelmed I'm sure). Without Linda's positivity, support, constant check ins for more towels/an extra hand/ encouragement, photo documentation, and communication I'm not sure we would have accomplished relieving those two pups of the misery they were in. I'm posting just a few photos so you can grasp the situation and I can tell you, not everyone is cut out to help abused dogs but Linda- she is a gift. The photos reflect just how many ticks were between their toes, in their ears, attached to the anus, between the pads, clustered all over these poor babies. We pulled dead ticks off for days ( my husband is a retired surgeon). I'm going back today for a second bath and to treat their bone dry fur and skin. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Linda. The manager, Phil, definitely supported Linda while she helped us. Not many businesses would do that except one committed to animal welfare and supporting their customers and staff. Thank you, Pet Food Express. Linda deserves Employee of the Year(s) and thank you for employing people like Phil. If you read this, look for Linda and recognize her when you stop by the store. Her rescue German shepherd dog is posted on one of the banners outside the store (R.I.P.). She an amazing human.

I usually shop at the store in Pleasanton but decided to stop by the Livermore store on the way home from work. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. This store is really nice. Very clean and organized. Great products. The self service dog wash area is really nice too. Staff was much friendlier than I experience at the Pleasanton store.

Knowing it was my dog's very first groom , Anna was incredibly patient and showed kindness from the moment we arrived . She took the time to read my dog's comfort level , gave her space when needed , and never pushed any boundaries -- which meant everything to me as a nervous pet parent . My dog was a little anxious , but Anna had a calming presence that kept my dog at ease throughout the whole appointment . She was gentle , caring , and clearly took her time to make sure the experience was positive rather than rushed . You can tell Anna genuinely loves and respects the animals in her care . I have been bathing my dog at pet supplies plus and buying pet food here for several years. there…read moreare three bathing stations. Two low ones and one in the middle, which is waist high. When I came in, there was a gentleman with a big dog who checked in before me and I asked the sales clerk if there was room for my dog. She said you could use the middle one. When I arrived, there was another gentleman washing his dog at one of the lower stations so my only choice was the center station. My dog is medium sized so I had no problem with the middle station. Surprise surprise it was not working. The hose had a whole hole in it and sprayed water everywhere. The dryer for the center station did not work. After getting a shower myself, I had to wait to access one of the dryers for my dog. The towels they have available to dry dogs are hardly better than rags, they are thin and not very absorbent. The clerk could've simply said the middle station was broken and that I could wait until one of the other stations was available. When I made a comment to another sales clerk who came along to clean up after the other dogs, he said he was well aware of the broken hose and the dryer, and that it had been that way for some time. If you're going to bathe your dog yourself, the pet food express on Santa Rita has better and cleaner stations.

After exploring the area and looking at apartments, when I live nearly 40 miles away on the Peninsula, I stumbled upon a kitty all by himself. I took this kitty straight to Pet food express because I knew they would have all the supplies I would need to care for him and take him to a vet to be seen. I lived very far away, so it was hard for me to access all my supplies. The young lady working that day gave me a box kennel, a can of food, and a comb for his fleas on the house. Pet Food express in Pleasanton, and the young lady who was working - Myself and my new baby kitten (Helios) thank you ! He made it all the way to the vet and home safely with a full tummy thanks to your help! We are very lucky, thank you again ! I have purchased all of my food and pet supplies at pet food express across California since 2016 when I first adopted my dog from the ASPCA in Dublin, and since then they have always been the best ! This particular location was along the route for another errand I was running, and now I know I will probably stick to the other location since they carry Jinx brand dog food. This brand has been around since 2020 and I figured that all PetSmart locations would likely have a similar inventory. Sadly, that was false. Again, this location is fine for the bigger names in dog food (such as Iams, Blue, or Nutrish,) but don't expect a lot of variety or newer brands.

I've been going to PetSmart for years to have my two dogs groomed and have never had an experience…read morelike I did yesterday. I had a 10am morning appointment for my dog that was changed to the afternoon because the groomer didn't come in. I rescheduled with the lady on the phone for an afternoon appointment that day. When I arrived, I was told that they couldn't take my dog because I was 17 minutes late for the appointment. I was early for my 4:30pm appointment but it turns out PerSmart changed the appointment to 4:00pm without calling me to let me know. The groomer couldn't do anything and called the manager. The manager, Kim, tried to find out what happened but no one took any responsibility and nothing was done to honor my appointment. All I got was a "I'm very sorry." I'm very sorry, too. I will not be back.
