Tony and his assistant were great at identifying the problem (damaged charging port) and fixing it in a timely manner. Pricing is reasonable. Interactions were professional and courteous. They even recommended a great nearby restaurant where I could go during the time that were working on my cellphone issue. In addition, after I returned, they checked out the two chargers which I had brought with me and detected a faulty cable on one of them. I was able to replace the cable at cost with no additional service charge. I would highly recommend Phone Pros and the fact that I returned when I encountered another different cellphone-related problem is a testament that I value their services highly.

They told me they will call me before putting the phone screen on to ask. I got a call about an hour later stating that the only damage on my phone was the screen. I asked a few times as I originally wanted to trade my phone in with apple, but if it was only the screen that was damaged, I would reconsider. They told me they would use an original iphone screen as they ran out of the better quality screen. I opt-in for the original screen which I paid extra for. I was in a rush when i got my phone and didnt check it throughly. The screen is not original. So if they ran out of better quality screen and my screen isnt original, did I pay extra for the lower quality screen? A week after the fix, I had noticed that the light sensor wasn't working on my phone. I do believe that when I gave my phone in, they told me they would check my phone to ensure everything was working. And that included the light sensor. I took it to the store, left it for a few hours only to be told the "ribbon" was damaged by the "cracked screen". When i told them it was never cracked, they changed their reasoning to water damage. I was given attitude as I tried to reason. The service would be a 1star as I did not get the original screen which I was promised. The service is also a 1star as I was given attitude when I went in for discovering another damage which I was told prior that the water only damaged the screen.

Been a customer of this store for man, many years! Actually have bough three computers from them…read moreover the years, and their repair costs are very decent, and I've had issues where a problem still occurred and brought it back and they honored the original repair if it was within the same week I picked it up (and the same issue). That said, the PCs you get there are going to be very standard. Many will be the same specs at the big box stores, but will be cheaper, but if you're looking for a gaming or video production PC, you'd be better off building your own or hitting online PC stores that specialize in better systems - looking at a recent print-out for them, a lot of the specs for parts in the custom-built PCs aren't top-of-the-line. If you're looking for PCs to just do your home work or check on emails, maybe do some office work with spreadsheets, then you'll be fine. If you're building a PC, they have some parts on the wall in the rear of the store, but it's not a complete selection, as I've found problems in the past looking for parts there.

So it's been quite a while since I've needed to pay a visit to the Smart Addiction shop and now…read morethey are in a different location than those first times that I needed their help. Recently I miscalculated my stride on some steps and came crashing down with my mobile in my hand and while I wasn't injured, my phones corner glass was smashed. I was mad for the most part since the phone is only five months old and didn't have insurance on it. Before you chide me about that, I should mention that I've never so much as scratched a phone screen in the 25 or so years of using these devices. End of streak. So anyway after being scolded by Verizon, I headed to the Smart Addiction store which is also known as "iFixit New York, Bay Ridge" location to assess the damage and the cost to repair. Sadly, the screen for this particular model was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL since I rather like a large phone based on all the web and social media stuff I do. The other downside would be the cost of $300 to replace and repair this broken screen. They said the Google phones are costly repairs so the part was ordered and I waited a few days. Once it was in the shop they took my device for a few hours and all was good as new. The staff is friendly but as technicians they are more interested in getting the job done efficiently for the customer. I told them the exact happening that got the breakage for them to be aware in case such actions lead to other issues. It's always best to be honest with the technicians. If you spill something on a laptop, let them know, if you drop your phone out a window, let them know etc. All in all I am glad that they are here and I hope that its a while before I have to come in there again since I don't like breaking things. Another good option at this location in Bay Ridge is that they have one of those Go Lockers so you can direct Amazon, FedEx and more to so you don't miss a delivery while you are at work. All staff interacted with; whether in person, by phone, or both gave me full confidence my issue would be handled with care & utmost priority. They were very polite & courteous as well! It was a quick 3 days from drop off till pickup; & my 5 year old PC was good as new. The issue was a boot partition corruption which was expertly resolved! Had the issue been more complicated, I would have had to leave my phone overnight (6:00 is the latest appointment of the day, and they close at 7:00).
