They charge you for identifying the problem before fixing. The service is fast, but attitude is not great. They charge me 100 for a 15 dollar worth cpu fan. Always do your research before answering such deal people! read more

Been a customer of this store for man, many years! Actually have bough three computers from them over the years, and their repair costs are very decent, and I've had issues where a problem still occurred and brought it back and they honored the original repair if it was within the same week I picked it up (and the same issue). That said, the PCs you get there are going to be very standard. Many will be the same specs at the big box stores, but will be cheaper, but if you're looking for a gaming or video production PC, you'd be better off building your own or hitting online PC stores that specialize in better systems - looking at a recent print-out for them, a lot of the specs for parts in the custom-built PCs aren't top-of-the-line. If you're looking for PCs to just do your home work or check on emails, maybe do some office work with spreadsheets, then you'll be fine. If you're building a PC, they have some parts on the wall in the rear of the store, but it's not a complete selection, as I've found problems in the past looking for parts there. read more

I have purchased computers here in the past. They are fine. When I did have a problem, they would honor their warranty and fixed the problem, free. If you go in there not knowing what you really need. They will try to sell you things you might not need or a product that is not as great, workable but not the best on the market. I would recommend this place, if you know exactly what you want. Also for $50 bucks they will put your computer together for you, if you just bring all the parts you want. read more

The employees here assume you know absolutely nothing about what they're talking about, so they tend to go into long and overwrought explanations and complex terminology. The problem is that THEY have no idea what they're talking about either. They WILL try to pawn off some piece of crap onto you with more accessories than you will ever want or need, so steer clear. SUGGESTION: You're better off shopping online for computer products, so you can read user reviews and weed out the crap products from the worthy (don't ever trust in-store salespeople - go straight to the customer base for recommendations). I highly recommend Newegg.com for all your electronics and computer needs. I use them for everything, and I've never been disappointed. read more

This review goes back some ten years, but I still feel like I should post it because it was such an awful experience. I think I got my second computer here. I was just a kid, but I had a decent idea of what I wanted in terms of CPU speed, RAM, hard drive space and such - the really basic stuff. I told the lady there what I wanted, but in perhaps an attempt to prove she knows more than I do, she furiously kept asking things like "What motherboard? How many PCI slots? What speaker? What brand? How many keys on your keyboard?". Eventually I shot back "Bitch, calm down, I'm *&@*(^ 11 years old". Yeah, not so good. They then suckered my parents into spending $1200 on a computer that had way more than I wanted or needed. read more

Great place to fix your computer. They've done perfect work for me and friends every time. Never been cheated or overcharged. Never bought a new product from them so I can't review that, but for repairs they are tops. read more

First and LAST time coming here. I'm sorry, but I've never encountered such horrible customer service. I came in looking for a simple phone charger, but the man behind the counter was beyond unamused to do any business and seemed rather irritated that I even entered the store. Poor attitude, but not surprising considering his age. They were open during the COVID-19 shutdown, when I had to work from home & needed a HDMI to VGA converter. Very helpful over the phone. The guy working there was very nice and straight to the point. Very grateful they were still open during the pandemic, as I didn't want to travel the extra miles to Microcenter, which I was told might have had a huge line. read more

Actually had a good experience there recently, after computer was infected with a bad virus. They could not get rid of the virus and had to reformat / wipe clean my PC, but they saved all of our photos first so we didnt lose them. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly. Would go back again if i have a problem. read more

They really are nice people and I had my laptop back each time within 24 hours. It works so well now and I cannot believe I was even considering buying a new laptop. $25 for diagnostic service, it is ok. BUT when I got my computer back, Chrome's records show that the youtube and twitch was logged during computer repairs(for some game video). Then I log in to my game(not the game they watched), it shows there is a NEW character they created in 24 hours!!(Characters cannot be deleted for 24 hours after they are created), I do not know if they have ever played this game, but fortunately I have security lock for my gears. AND There is credit card information and some more important things in my computer, no privacy at all. The touchpad on my HP ProBook locked up. I couldn't do anything, couldn't move the cursor. HP tech support was less than useful; they just gave me a website where I could search for Authorized Service Providers- ha ha the one nearest to NYC is 50 miles away. A friend mentioned Compustar. I took the ProBook in there on a Tuesday; lucky for me, Ted works on Tuesdays. He opened it up, turned it on.. and yep, the cursor was locked. He played around with the various keys for a few minutes, then said he'd have to run a diagnostic. $25 He'd call me when he knew the problem, and give me an estimate. As I was leaving he was sitting, working with the ProBook. 20 minutes later he called me: your computer is ready. I went back to get it. He explained to me that I had inadvertently locked off the touchpad by tapping twice in the upper left corner of the touchpad. A tiny yellow light comes on in that corner, to indicate the touchpad is off. No charge, beyond the original $25. He could easily have kept the ProBook for a couple days, told me a story about fixing it, and charged a lot. He's a very pleasant guy, seems to be thoroughly, naturally, honest. And kind: he assured me that I needn't kick myself for my ignorance about the on/off touchpad. He didn't know, and it's unlikely that HP featured it in the manual. He said people disabled the touchpad and plugged in an external mouse, 'cause they find it more convenient. read more
