I called the shop hoping they had a burgundy tuxedo for rent and the gentleman said they had some available. We stopped by thereafter and Joe immediately got to work on my Fiancé. He took his measurements and made him try on a couple pieces as well as shoes. I don't think we were in there for more than 15 minutes ! I came to this place because it was highly recommended by a coworker. She said her son has been coming here for years for his various high school events. This was our first time renting a tux and this place gave us a great experience. Here's our experience broken down: 1st Fitting/measurements: The Taylor was very attentive & made helpful recommendations. We went with their least expensive set and for our son we switched out the pants & upgraded to more adjustable pair. I was very impressed with how professional he was & he made sure that measurements he took were as accurate as possible. We ended up renting 2 tuxedos including shoes for the Mr. & Jr., the total cost was about $2XX-ish for both. Pickup & fitting: We picked up Tuxedos on a Thursday evening. The young lady that was there was really friendly & helpful. When my son tried on the vest, she noticed that it was about oversized & recommend a more fitted & designed vest! The set came with cuff links also but I would recommend using your own as the ones that are provided are okay (all black with silver setting) but for a more personalized look use your own. She packaged up suits & accessories & we were outta there. Event: We got numerous compliments & everyone noticed how fitted and how great the Tuxedos were on both of my guys. Our Jr. was the ring bearer for the wedding which made his outfit even more important & he looked great, the bride was happy. Returning the Tuxedos: This was a quick & easy process. Been here twice and they have the best customer service. First I came to rent a suit for my daughters sweet 16 and the suit looked and felt great. No rush for return and overall was a great experience. The second time was for a funeral. This was during the pandemic so I called first and set up an appointment. I'm assuming it was the owner that helped me and just by looking at me, he guessed my m Pants and jacket, size, you can tell this guy knew what he was doing. This review is well overdue! I called Rent-A-Tux almost 2 months ago asking for 2 light pink bow ties for purchase. I spoke with the owner who offered no details and assured me that I could send my sister over to pick up the bow ties. He quoted me $15 for each bow tie. My sister brought home 2 bow ties and said he gave her a discount for paying cash $10 each. Okay. Who doesn't like a discount right? Rest assured, when I pulled the bow ties out of the packaging they were used, dirty and one almost ripping! (Pictures will soon be posted). I was very disappointed and pressed for time so I had no other option. My sister said, the owner never pulled the bow ties out of the bag nor did he mention they were used. He brought out the bow ties from their back room already in the bag with a large receipt covering the bows. He just handed over the merchandise and we unfortunately were charmed and did not open it then and there. But I am extremely dissatisfied having paid $10 (with a cash discount) per used bow! The owner, NEVER mentioned the bow ties were going to be used. This is SHADY, SHADY BUSINESS. Seriously, NEVER coming back or recommending anyone, not because they do not have nice suits or tuxedos (a service we did not use and can not comment on) but because you can not make a second first impression. As a customer calling and asking to purchase items, it is safe to assume those items are going to be new and not worn out with sharpie markings and just in poor quality. NOT WORTH IT. Came here for our wedding Tuxedos & found an excellent selection to choose from. Staff is very knowledgable of traditional timeless styles and current trends. We chose to go with your traditional look, don't want to look back 25 years down the road and have our kids say, "what in the world did you wear dad?" One of the many things that sold me about renting from here is being capable of trying on every piece of clothing, from the shoes to the exact tie I'd wear. Other places I visited, you pick out of a catalog, then wait 'till your wedding weekend to put it all on. I prefer to know well in advance how it all looks. Costumer service was excellent, Charlie & Joe took their time with me and groomsmen, making sure tuxedo fit perfectly. I recommended this place to two friends of mine, who's wedding I also came out in. They too loved their experience and look. My friend "Steve's" (the groom) pants needed alteration day of picking up his tux, took maximum 7 minutes to fix them on the spot. I'm sure that is a bride's dream come true.
