THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. THEY ASK CUSTOMERS TO GIVE THEM A 5 STAR REVIEW TO GET A FREE PAYMENT. They asked my girlfriend for one. People take these reviews with a grain of salt. I am writing a review for my girlfriend because she doesn't want any retaliation from these people. She had a flat tire 2 weeks after she got the wheels and when she went in the manager Julio said he can't fix it and the tire wasn't covered. Another thing is she has a mismatched set of tires and they said they put a new set on when she got home I pointed it out to her and she asked them about it when she got her tires tightened they said that's all they have. One of the tires is almost bald on one edge. She is paying for a warranty on the tires but for some reason its not covered. They won't refund the money she paid into the warranty either. I told her to go to the Rimco ,because this shop is a Mom and Pop scam like on Rancier. At least there you can call a corporate office and get help. Any time she asked they kept saying there is no one to call she has to deal with them. All they could say is they could add a tire to her account and cost her more money. I went into the shop myself and saw a guy working there that I used to buy dope from. If anyone has been in Killeen for a little while and smokes dope you know who he is when you go in there. Don't trust these people they act like they are your friend but they are just after your money. Before you buy anything from these people shop around first go to Rimco and just see the difference for yourself. I appreciate the response back. I think I got more satisfaction by letting you as corporate know their is a problem at this store. I think my girlfriend is probably going to return anyways you you guys can just have them back on the 1st. The Rimco looked at our rental contract and said they have wheels that fit in the price range and 120 days same as cash. I believe there has to be some good with your company just not here. Awesome experience. I called in advance because I went to another place and they would not touch my car. First I have some 17" wheels that were custom ordered for my car. The tires were rubbing on my fender so I had ordered another set of tires. Since my car is lowered most places wont touch my car for liability reasons. Sounds right but if I had purchased from them then they would be more than happy to work on my car. Luckily I called and Stephanie was so helpful over the phone. She said to bring it in and that they would check it out. When I got there I was blown away with the level of attention that they give to each customer. While I was there another couple came in and they needed help because two of there wheels were badly bent. They immediately took care of them and with in minutes they had a set of wheels picked out and taken care of. Back to my situation, as it turns out since my car is lowered it would not fit on the lift but they said they would take care of it no problem. I left my car there because I had to go to work, and when I returned my car was done and parked up front. They did advise me that my front tires were still rubbing some. Knowing that the store was about to close I said that I would just have to drive it like that until I got home and then I would adjust my coil overs. With out hesitation they said that they couldn't let me drive like that and risk ruining my new tires. They quickly took them back off and put my front stocks on they even bagged up my wheels and put them into my other car. A lot of these reviews seem to be somewhat type of an hoax a bit to me. Everytone is entitled to their opinion and maybe i shouldn't be writing this but I am. I know the staff at Rent a Tire in Harker Heights, and they are all wonderful men as well as GREAT SALESMEN. I mean, they get my money and I'm One of the hardest people to please in America. And there are LOTS of people out there just like... lol But back to what I was saying, not only do they make me feel comfortable but I've also seen how they interact with other customers. They are great with them also. I know first hand from being in the customer service field myself, that it is hard to please everyone, but I always go out of my way to try. And when I'm at RENT A TIRE, that's what I see. It has been days when I walked into the RIM SHOP feeling like I've lost my best FRIEND, but by the time I leave I'm happy and smiling. Its crazy because, they don't even know what they do for me. Because not only do I get GREAT customer service, I leave SATISFIED. I tried this place and i ain't going back. I was speaking to a guy in a red shirt (everyone else had blue shirts so I guess he was the manager)trying to get a price on some tires possibly some wheels and was just left at the front. I asked about some tires then I was given a application and pen and was told to fill it out. I still had questions but the guy left.( i didn't know this at the time) I had another employee ask if he could help(i told him know because I thought I was already working with someone). The guy came back again and he asked if he could help and that's when I found out the other guy left so I just left. Why would you just tell somebody to fill something out. The store is kind of empty they only had 3 sets of 20's to fit my car in stock. They may just be going out of business. I don't know. Anyways I did call back to get a corporate number and Victor asked what was wrong and how he can fix the problem(trying to be nice too little too late) I told him it doesn't matter he then said they do have a district number but not a corporate number?? I've been doing business with this Rent A Tire/Wheel since 2010 and I appreciative the friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff, large inventory in-store and more through vendor ordering and cleanliness of the shop. This shop has high volume of business, visit earlier in the day unless you have some extra time on your hands. The staff at this shop are courteous and knowledgeable about tire and wheel proper fit and conditions due to road hazards. During the summer time you can catch radio stations promoting and supporting the shop, ladies you may get a pedi gift certificate. As a female I know I can get an honest answer about my wheels and tires, alignment and my account. I have purchases two sets of wheels and two sets of tires from this location. I never had any issues with my account being compromised or payment amounts, the staff or quality of work for my the maintenance on my tires and wheels. I am not a customer yet ,but I will say they offer great customer service. My father went in to their location in Harker Heights trying to get help fixing my moms tire. He is not able to fix things like he used to because he is older now he will be turning 90 in a couple of weeks. My father went in and asked for help and the guys dropped what they were doing and went to my dads house and took the tire off of the car and brought it back fixed with in minutes. The man who came out was real professional and very helpful. He even checked in on my dad tonight to make sure everything is OK. I offered him a tip because of how nice he has been to my dad he declined it and just said when I need tires come see him. The way businesses are now it's really breath of fresh air to see this kind of service. I did not get the mans name ,but when I do I will write a letter to his corporate office. update: I acquired Vincent's name and I am working on getting a address for his corporate office. This place gets 4 stars for each badass looking tire, plus another for making my dad's old work truck less embarrassing to drive. I went in looking for regular old replacement tires, but after talking to the sales guys about different options for my truck, I finally decided on bigger, all terrain tires and some shiny black rims - truck is black, so it matched...there's some girly thinking for you, haha. I've never really shopped for tires on my own, so it was a little overwhelming seeing all the flashy, giant rims they have on display. Bolt patterns and offsets?!? Total gibberish, so I really appreciated them taking the time to explain everything. Even after adding rims to my "tires only" reason for going in, I got a pretty good deal compared to other places I'd been to. The shop/waiting area was really clean and the staff were goofy and entertaining. Not gonna lie, my ancient truck looks totally different and kind of awesome and menacing now that it's all blacked out. High five Rent a Tire! read more

My mother and I bought rims from the Harker Heights location. Their secretary Latoya, was excellent. She helped us chose which rims would look right on our cars and made sure we got a good deal. Once my rims were installed I noticed that they were used and badly scratched. I wasn't told that they were used so I contacted the store manager, Rudy. Who waited for me to come back to the store, he looked at the rims and told em to bring them back the next day. At that time he would either give us a better deal on the used rims or get brand new ones from the Killeen location. The next day, I decided to go with the brand new rims. Latoya drove us over to the killeen location in her personal vehicle. She showed me the rims and confirmed that I wanted them. Then she loaded the rims in her vehicle and we drove back to hav ether installed. Rudy revised the contract and we ended up saving $30. I'd like to say thank you Rudy and Latoya for your wonderful customer service. read more

My husband had a real good experience with this store. Last week he went in and ordered wheels for his truck. After shopping around for the last couple of days in Killeen not finding anything we finally went to the Rent a Tires in Heights. We looked around and didn't see much we liked(they do have a smaller inventory than other local shops but this is how they will make up for it they can and will order for you other shops weren't able to do that for us)We looked through books for about and hour calling places to check for availability Steve(my husband) and Vincent finally found the perfect set. My husband filled out the paperwork and made the order. We just got the wheels yesterday and brought some life to his old truck. I am just happy this was a pretty painless experience and they were even able to set us up on allotment so we don't have to worry about the payments. I must say this is a wondeful place to go to buy rims and tires for your vehcile. The staff memeber are very polite and respectful. When I first got my car, I decided I wanted to put rims on it. I went in there with good intentions of getting a set for my car. I went in not knowing anything about rims and tires. Right as I walked in, I was asked if I could be help with something. They started explain what size was best for my car and the tires that went with it. They had a very nice selection to choose from. I found a set I loved for my car. They explained the payment process and how to fill out the application. I came back the next day with everything I needed and I left with the rims I wanted for my car. i walk into rent a tire and begin to talk to a man name vince and he showed me all around and at first i really didn't like the rims they had in stock. i'm from augusta ga and i really thought i was going to have to drive home to get the rims i like. i was on my was out the door until vince at me what "well which rims in this store you like and ill see if i can get them for your truck" aaaaaannnnnnddddd he did just that andi love my rims...... vince save me trip to georgia thanks renta tire i will be back for some 26"... oh yea before i go for the ladies its guys in the shop and u don't have take advantage of you like most men do just because yo is a female in these rim shops they will get you your rims at the best price wit warranty read more

I didn't go in to the place but my daughter did. She had a real good experience and the sales man Vincent took care of her needs with out trying to break her. I talked with him over the phone and seemed sincere and gave her the best options for what she could afford and still look good. When I get back to Killeen I'm taking him to lunch and probably getting a set for myself also. He understood what my daughters concerns were and did everything he could to make her feel at ease. Nowadays you just don't know who you can trust. That was my daughters main problem because she doesn't know anyone in the area because she just got stationed there. I had a really good experience with this shop I was able to get started on line and able to go in and get setup same day. Even with the store short staffed with out a mechanic the white guy was able to get us set up he went out and mounted my wheels himself he was also able to get my tire sensors to work in my new wheels. He made my day even though he really could have just put me off to the next day but he made it a point to take care of me and even make my wife laugh in the process.(she wasn't really wanting the wheels). I've already told a couple of my coworkers in my unit about this place. Its just hard to find a place in Killeen that doesn't want to screw over a serviceman. read more

Harker Heights Rent A Tire is the place to go for a professional tire staff. The tire tech guy working on the tires gets me in and out without me ever wondering if he did it right or not. He's all buisness and is good at what he does. The staff there is very helpful and very friendly. I bought my tires and rims from there and get compliments left and right. Not only did they make my truck look good but put me on the road without a doubt that I would have any problems with their product. The one time I had tire trouble they took really good care of me without hassle. If you haven't bought tire or rims from here your missing out on a good deal. I don't have my wheels with them but my boyfriend does.(I usually make the payments for him) I really like this place and the people are really helpful and nice. We had a flat tire and we thought they would try to jerk us around(knowing how other places are in Killeen) Not only did the fixed the problem they actually replaced the tire because they said the tire couldn't be repaired.(my boyfriend actually told me the tire shouldn't be fixed but he expected them to try and do it anyways) I'm sure when we are done with my boyfriends set I'll get a set of my own. This place deserves 5 stars!! I have been a customer for more than 6 months. I was transferred from Waco to Harker Heights, when the manager Steven was transferred. I was going through a hard time and he helped me out on my payment plan. Since I do live in Waco it is hard to go back and forth so I make over the phone payments. When I do need something done in Waco. The manager is very rude and just tells me to call Harker Heights location. When I do call Steven is always there to help! Rent a Tire is the place you need to come, to get top of the line wheels and tires. Rudy and Latoya are the people you need to see on these great deals on rims and tires. They didn't pressure me into anything or tried to sell me any wolf tickets. They made sure I had the best deal and the rims where the perfect size. When I left there I was very happy with my new 22 yes 22. A very great experience I will sure return again when I purchase a new vehicle. O yea be sure to ask about the nitrogen.
