I've used the Harker Heights twice now for tire rotations. I took one of my vehicles in last summer and was told by the technician that this would be the last time they would rotate my tires because they were bald. That was quite far from the truth And I knew it. However, it didn't stop this particular individual from trying to sell me all new tires. During the tire rotation, I also had to educate the staff on the proper way to rotate tires on an all wheel drive vehicle. I should not have to that. I then took the vehicle to discount in the next town over and have them check the tread depth. My tires were not bald. In fact, they were barely worn and had probably another 50,000 miles worth of tread life left. Yesterday I took a different vehicle in for a tire rotation. I had a 4:30 appointment and was informed at 4 o'clock that my vehicle ready in about an hour and 15 minutes. No apology. No we'll see if we can get you out earlier. No offer of tracking status via text message like happens at other Discount Tire shops. My vehicle was done at 5 o'clock. However, when I got it back, my interior was smeared with black dirty grease, as were my keys and key fob. Now I have to clean the interior of my vehicle. I scheduled this tire rotation because it was on my way home from an event in the area yesterday. I was hoping to save a little time and not have to schedule on a Saturday to take my vehicle in to a different shop. I should've just saved my time and made an appointment where I actually get decent service. I'm not even gonna give this shop three strikes. Two strikes; you're out. read more

We absolutely love discount tire. We travel back-and-forth from California where it's called American tire and Texas. My husband does commuting a lot and it's very nice to know that no matter where we go we're covered. They have Discount or American Tires everywhere. My only issue is that I did send my daughter here and the tires that she received not any fault of the companies just did not work on her van and have been a disappointment. Went in early Monday morning, they already had a good amount of customers waiting, before I could even get out of my car, a service representative walked up to me and asked if I needed help. Let him know I had a tire losing pressure and asked to have it checked. Within minutes, they had my car in a bay. Within 30 minutes, I was on my way to work. I am very disappointed in Discount Tire. My husband came in to have a new tire placed on his tire rim. He was waiting in line for service, not only did your store skip serving my husband to assist customers behind him, but also made a disabled man who has had spine surgery load his own tire in the vehicle after finally changing the tire. He then called to speak with the store manager who blew off his concerns. He later called the regional office and received an email stating he would receive a follow up call that never happened. As someone who also works in the customer service industry I feel like you should have more care and concern for the treatment of your customers. read more

If getting tired from here, I highly recommend getting a warranty on them. I got a flat tire on my 25 foot camping trailer just as I pulled into my camping site at Westcliff COE Park on Belton Lake. I called Discount Tire and made a 10:30 am appointment for Monday morning to get four new tires put on. When I arrived, the place was swamped with customers. I stood in line to check in hearing them tell people they were running three hours behind. When I got up to the counter I was directed to pull my trailer around to the back of the store. The guy I spoke to met me there and helped guide me as I backed in. I went into the store and sat in the AC fully expecting to be there for several hours. I was pleasantly pleased when at 11:25 I was called over the intercom. I went to the counter, learned the job was finished, settle my bill, and headed home to San Antonio. Double check the service..you to have done..paid a spare tire from discount however they did not sell me one that would fit on my car... I find out...I had a flat. I returned the product to discount however they refused to replace my spare saying the BMW doesn't have spares however I did use my spare in 2013 to make it to Discount Tire. So, they kept my old spare rim then gave me a spare tire that did not fit. The store is under new management which in the past I used Discount because of the quality of the business ethics of their managers versus Brakes and Tires and NTB...however I guess they are trending toward falling into the of suspect business practices which the previous two business are know for (Brakes Check changed their name and the current manager has stood by their tire warranty...thanks Marco). They serviced my flat Tire with no issues..it did go flat but the couldn't find any problem but told me to return if it did it again...on the 26th of May 2025 should I have any problems. . read more

Leaving the chiropractor 7 months pregnant my low tire warning came on immediately and went from 35 psi to 25 psi. Discount Tire was within a few minutes, they got my car in within 15 min and out within an hour. Thank goodness for the quick work on the same day, not to mention it was free AND scorching hot outside. Amazing service and amazing people. 10/10 they deserve a raise. I went to your store in Harker Heights, TX this morning to get some air put in my tires. The guy there refused to. He then started pulling on my door handle very aggressively and saying he had to scan my VIN. I told him he didn't need to and all I need was some air in my tires. He kept pulling on my handle and said he was going to scan my VIN. I once again told him no. It is a service you advertise as free. I went in the store and spoke with the manager I explained the situation. He didn't seem to understand the issue was the guy pulling aggressively on my door after I told him I wasn't interested in having my VIN scanned by him. Up until this point I had been a customer for about 20 years. You have plenty of competitors in the area who will do what they say they do instead of hassling the customer. Your customer service has gone downhill consistently and apparently neither your managers care anymore. read more

Rosario is a Champion. they were extremely busy when I was there. He met me in parking lot & knew how to take care of the Tesla. Which is not a common vehicle. He examined all of the tires while I was there. And showed me how three of them had been worn down to the tread Mark. showed me one that was not worn down suggested I consider replacing the three and maybe just might want to replace that fourth one so that it matched well with the others on the Tesla. Which is all wheel drive. He looked up the tire he quoted me a price but did not stop there. I went ahead and paid for it so they could put it on. Then I went to lunch with a friend who picked me up. When I returned he had found a better price on that order - a michilin. Now my wife can drive safely with all new tires on the ground. And not be concerned about being on wet pavement. I am so pleased with this service, and especially pleased that he found a lower price than I was originally quoted it was about $400 lower. so take your business to Discount Tire and if Rosario is there, tell him I sent you. read more

If you have a new vehicle that you care about and you want to have extra expenses, stripped lug nuts, and bent rims put on your car this is the place for you! We will NEVER use this Discount Tire again. We have brought multiple NEW (not pre owned) vehicles to this location and every vehicle has had issues, the common denominator is this Discount Tire. My fiancé bought brand new rims and had the discount tire put them on. Well, come to find out one was bent and instead of informing us of this issue they installed the bent rim causing the vehicle to wobble and we found out afterwards because we brought the vehicle back to figure out the issue. Most recently we brought the car back to get a realignment and when the vehicle was being serviced because we needed to buy new tires they stripped a lug nut and now we are having issues with the tire pressure. I am VERY disappointed in the service from this Discount Tire and I just wanted to write this review to warn everyone to stay away from this place, unless of course you don't mind extra expenses! 09/10/2022 @ 2pm. I went to get air for my tires and was told that I had a burn ring. Explain to the tech that I had been hving problems w/ back passenger tire since I got them @ Killeen location in 2020. He advise needed to be replaced and said it was on warranty. I agreed and was told to wait for someone to talk to me. 25mins later sale rep came did a walk around the car. He advises that I need lug nuts for all 4 tires. Because Dodge lug nuts are made with aluminum and swell. I have been to several Discount Tires since I got the car and the new tires (back right tire issues) and none of them have said anything about lug nuts. I was very upset but paid 59.50$ to replace. They started work on my car and I waited (45 mins). Tech brings me car. I looked at my "new" lug nuts just to see the difference. I had to ask were they changed out because they looked the same. Tech looked at me surprised that I would ask. Come to find that they were my old lug nuts. They never changed them and I was almost ready to hop in and drive off. So I would have paid for 59.50 for my old one. He tried to say he forgot and had just put the tire on. So he took my car back. Then came out 15mins later and said "Oh we don't have lug nuts for your car". Wait sales guy asked again for make, model and yr when he put it in the system. So would the system say if they have them. Spoke with Supervisor who ignored my concerns and just offered a refund that took 3days to post back to my acct read more

I originally got my new tires from here a few months ago but since I work in Temple I called the one in Temple and they talked me out of bringing my car there, telling me that they have a 2 1/2 hour wait every day at every time of the day. So I waited till after work and I took my car with my donut spare back to Harker Heights discount tire and I'm glad I did!! They were quick, knowledgeable and professional. Came in for a tire leak and left with 4 tires....yay. They are quick. They address you immediately when you come in, they get a sale quickly and they fix the problem even quicker. I will say after I was suckered into new tires because of a low tread, I watched 3 other people come in and get the tread speech. Darn them and their pervasiveness But I guess I'm glad I fixed it before something bad happened. And it just so happened that I came in on the last day of a rebate which was pretty sweet! The only negative was that the person I was talking to talked soooo quickly that I could only catch a few words here and there. I understand they are busy but I felt a little rushed. Recently my tire pressure light alerted me that I had an issue with one of my tires. Upon inspection, I discovered there was a nail in the tire. Let me start this review with a little back story. Back in July I took my Subaru to Cleo Bay Subaru to have some warranty work done and have a leaking valve stem replaced. Cleo Bay charged me $55.06($43.18 labor) to replace the valve stem, and were very pushy to sell me new tires and additional services. Today I had another valve stem leak on a different tire and brought it to you guys. You replaced the valve stem for FREE, even though I've been out of state for years. You guys gave me quote, but were NOT pushy!! THANK YOU!!! It's the way you guys treat customers and don't nickel and dime, that has always made me a repeat customer!!! These guys are great. I had a flat right front tire, I was driving on a flat spare, had two worn tires on the rear of my car, and I was running late for dinner with my girlfriend and her parents. I got there around 5:50 pm and they said they could have me out of there by 6:30 pm. I explained to them that I had to be at dinner at that time and they said, "Ok. We'll do our best, but as you can see, we are very busy right now." They had two cars waiting ahead of me and every bay was full. In less than 30 minutes, they had put two brand new tires on the rear, rotated one from the rear to the front, and aired up my spare without me even asking. Plus, their prices are outstanding! I even had enough time to get to the restaurant and have a table waiting for my girlfriend and her parents when they got there. I won't go anywhere else for tires anymore. I received excellent service yesterday May 14, 2015. I went in to have two tires changed on my wife's truck. Not only did I get an additional discount that I was not expecting but I also received excellent customer service from Jay. I dropped off my vehicle to get the tires replaced and went back to work. I work a few buildings over west of the store. I got tied up in my work and lost track of time. I called the store shortly before closing and let them know I would be late picking up my vehicle. They offered to hold the vehicle till the next day but I explained I had to go out of town Friday morning. Jay offered to leave my keys in the vehicle or bring my vehicle to me. I was actually shocked that they would do that. He took time out of his schedule to drive my vehicle to my office and pick me up. I don't know of any other places in this area that would offer that type and quality of customer service. Called Discount Tire the next morning- they were able to see me the same day, and 90 minutes later I drove off with a new tire - reasonable prices, good services - fingers crossed that I won't be making too many purchases there - but given the state of Texas roads and the amount of broken glass and construction material - I should probably get one of those frequent visit punch cards - 10 tire repair/replacement free?
