Boy will you be wrong- the place extends well out into the back! We didn't go into the nursery area but the plants were gorgeous. Go into the market store area- it is huge! There's a bakery, a deli, a little lunch spot, groceries, candies, home goods etc. I want to highlight the little wine section with the kindest lady working there. She gave us a tour of the entire place - that's how we found out the place was much more than meets the eye! We sampled several different wines, and purchased several! One of the wines sold there supports a rescue group with every sale. We bought some jams (birthday gifts), honey and hot sauces from the store. Traverse out back, there's the original barn that is a gift shop (3 stories), lots of unique items, a farm petting barn of animals rescued from slaughterhouses, a separate store for those with allergies that they can shop specific allergen friendly food. An ice cream stand, a hard cider ale house and some play areas for the children. We stopped in the arsenal ale house to have a drink and that was delicious too! We were hungry after and were looking for place to eat then we remembered there was a little lunch spot in the store so back in we went! Perfect tied over lunch, great sandwiches, pickles have got to be homemade. Drinks from cooler- super refreshing. Definitely will be back.

That being said, they are awesome to visit during the less busy times. They have a lot of great produce in the main shop along with things like spices and jarred/canned items. They also have a seasonal shop, garden shop and cider building. So plenty of places to explore and try great new things. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, a great farm to visit and support! Just expect huge crowds if you go in the fall.

For a small fee there is face painting and pony rides. The "haunted" hayride is $4 per person and a nice long ride. My 5 year old finds it a bit too spooky but I think it is suitable for most ages. They have a country store and a number of food vendors. We loved the pumpkin rolls and apple butter! Don't forget to take a free short hayride to the pumpkin patch amongst the pine trees. They have pumpkins of every shape and size that you pay for by the weight.

I've been here to apple pick, blueberry pick, strawberry pick and pick flowers. Each experience is fun and has something unique. My favorite is the apple picking. There are usually at least two varieties to choose from and the apples are always delicious! I also love the strawberry picking (and you take a hay ride to get to the field). Sure it is more expensive than if you purchased in a grocery store, but it is a fun experience making memories with your family. If you don't want to go the pick your own route, they have a lot of other fun things to keep you entertained. Bounce pillows, corn maze, slides built into the hillside, a haunted walk through barn, animals and more! And, if you don't want to do any of the extras, it is worth it just to stop and shop in their market! Loads of their fresh produce, baked goods, jarred goods and cute farm related merchandise. This was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish…read more We were told there were "plenty of blueberries to pick," yet after spending our time in the fields, this was all we were able to collect. Paying $20 for such a poor experience felt like a complete waste. What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled. I returned the box and explained the issue. The employee simply took it back without any apology, explanation, or attempt to make things right. There was no offer of a partial refund, a voucher to come back when berries were actually available, or any acknowledgment that the experience had fallen far short of expectations. I understand that crops and harvest conditions can vary. What I don't understand is advertising a good picking experience when there is very little fruit available and then showing complete indifference when a customer expresses disappointment. Customer service matters just as much as the product. Unfortunately, this business failed on both counts. I won't be returning, and I would encourage others to call ahead and verify conditions before making the trip.

There's all kinds of jellies and jams and jarred types of things. This farmers market is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. You can walk down the hill their parking lot and then eat at their farm to fork take-out kitchen located inside the Grist House Beer Crib.

Due to our travel limitations, our actual purchases were scant - but their blueberries were fresh and a good size for the $5 price, my daughter devoured them for the rest of the weekend. Local jerky was a protein packed snack option for the adults. Also snagged some cookies for dessert that really hit the spot. If your schedule allows, check out the restaurant next door - it's their affiliated "farm to fork" concept. The refrigerators had local dairy products, meat, and pierogies. I had to get the spinach and ricotta pierogies (made in McKees Rocks). I can't say no to a snickerdoodle cookie and there were pumpkin snickerdoodles too. Lots of homemade breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. It is the attention to detail that stood out to me. The radishes were in a resealable (ziploc like) bag. The mushrooms were in a clam shell container. I didn't have to find storage containers which I appreciate.
