We have been coming to Renshaw farms for over a decade now for their fall festivities. They have grown and added on so much since they started and my goodness they do a excellent job. The food is tasty. The treats are good. The activities included in admission are decent as well. Hayride with optional pumpkin picking as well. Pumpkin are a bit pricey. We spent $40 this year on pumpkins from here but nice to support a local small business. Corn maze, giant bouncy pillow, mini tractor race, animals to see, feed, and pet. Lots of ample room to sit and eat. Cool crafts and things to purchase. Photo-ops all around. Stage, corn filled sand boxes to swim and play in! They really have it all! They have this awesome gorgeous sunflower field in summer which is new and there were still some left when we went in fall. That's so worth checking out on its own. Plus they have a beautiful event space for your upcoming party or wedding! Highly recommend them and making the drive!

It included picking a bouquet of flowers, a vase, two glasses of wine and a cheese box. When you arrived everyone was very friendly and check-in was easy. You started with a hay ride and then off to pick flowers. They do events like this often, so definitely check them out! We also got to see and feed the goats. Their farm store is super great and lots of great products and produce!

A friend asked me if I would like to go out to get some berries. We got there after berry picking time for the day, which closed around 2 PM, but there was still plenty of time to buy berries in their market, freshly picked by their workers, and enjoy other fun things at the farm! We fed the goats, who were the sweetest, tamest goats I have ever met. (Frankly, they completely changed my opinion about goats, with which I have had some unpleasant memories in the past.) You can pay a quarter for some food and feed it to them by hand, and not a single one took it from me anything less than gently. There is also a super cute feature where you can send some food up to goats standing at the top of the pen via a pulley system. There were several baby goats here when we visited and they were ridiculously adorable. From there it was a stop at the café window where we ordered strawberry lemonade slushies that were an absolute delight. It was late in the day and they were out of several of the food offerings; I was told by my friend that the hot pretzel is fantastic, but didn't get to find out. So I went with some freshly made donuts, and it was only a few dollars for half a dozen blueberry donuts. They are wonderful eaten fresh just like this, but when you take them home you can heat them up for 10 seconds to get that just-out-of-the-oven taste. Finally we stopped in the shop which is full of all kinds of home, pantry and fresh food items. I came home with a pint of raspberries, a big bunch of strawberries (last of the season!), jars of pickled beets and bread and butter pickles, and a block of baby Swiss cheese. Everything has been absolutely fantastic and it would be easy to go absolutely wild in this store. Lots of events here during different seasons, especially apple and pumpkin season in fall which is their busiest time. After that they close for the year at Halloween. Come out and pick some berries or fresh lavender here this summer! It's a local gem.

In the summer, they usually have up to six different kinds of soup. Anyway, I did get some sourdough scones, and they do have great different varieties of sourdough bread here. There's always fresh vegetables and fruits that are in season. You can get lots of different types of frozen meats. Their pies are outstanding. There's all kinds of jellies and jams and jarred types of things. This farmers market is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. You can walk down the hill their parking lot and then eat at their farm to fork take-out kitchen located inside the Grist House Beer Crib.

Cute setup, lots of flowers on display outside - I wish I could have taken advantage of a BOGO deal. Local goodies available from a bakery, plus various popcorns, soaps and natural products in the back. The canned/pickled area was my favorite area, with a locally made chili crisp, chai maple syrup and creative sauces and salsas - including a dill pickle salsa! Will be looking up some of the brands to see if they do online ordering and shipping. Due to our travel limitations, our actual purchases were scant - but their blueberries were fresh and a good size for the $5 price, my daughter devoured them for the rest of the weekend. Local jerky was a protein packed snack option for the adults. Also snagged some cookies for dessert that really hit the spot. If your schedule allows, check out the restaurant next door - it's their affiliated "farm to fork" concept. Also note the grassy play area and swings if you have a toddler with excess energy to burn off.

I wasn't shopping for anything in particular but I wanted to see the new location. I picked up a basket and kept adding items. How could I pass up a nice size head of cauliflower? Or nice big radishes? Oh look I needed celery. As a cooking novice, I went with the "regular" mushrooms but I saw other types that I may need to come back for. The refrigerators had local dairy products, meat, and pierogies. I had to get the spinach and ricotta pierogies (made in McKees Rocks). I can't say no to a snickerdoodle cookie and there were pumpkin snickerdoodles too. Lots of homemade breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. It is the attention to detail that stood out to me. The radishes were in a resealable (ziploc like) bag. The mushrooms were in a clam shell container. I didn't have to find storage containers which I appreciate. The staff were very friendly and well versed in the products. Ample parking. If you miss the GPS turn, make the next right and come in through the back of the parking lot. Very glad to see the Market has expanded in its new location.
