Boy will you be wrong- the place extends well out into the back! We didn't go into the nursery area but the plants were gorgeous. Go into the market store area- it is huge! There's a bakery, a deli, a little lunch spot, groceries, candies, home goods etc. I want to highlight the little wine section with the kindest lady working there. She gave us a tour of the entire place - that's how we found out the place was much more than meets the eye! We sampled several different wines, and purchased several! One of the wines sold there supports a rescue group with every sale. We bought some jams (birthday gifts), honey and hot sauces from the store. Traverse out back, there's the original barn that is a gift shop (3 stories), lots of unique items, a farm petting barn of animals rescued from slaughterhouses, a separate store for those with allergies that they can shop specific allergen friendly food. An ice cream stand, a hard cider ale house and some play areas for the children. We stopped in the arsenal ale house to have a drink and that was delicious too! We were hungry after and were looking for place to eat then we remembered there was a little lunch spot in the store so back in we went! Perfect tied over lunch, great sandwiches, pickles have got to be homemade. Drinks from cooler- super refreshing. Definitely will be back.

We arrived and found ample parking and went inside. There is so much inside: you can find donuts from Orum's on Saturday (we bought 6) and there is fresh bread, dinner rolls, jams, and other pastries available. Toward the back are farm fresh vegetables, milk, etc. They have an ice cream counter and things like honey, etc. nearby. We, also, stopped by Arrowhead winery inside to sample their wines: the lady behind the counter was super helpful and knowledgeable about their wines and the wine-making process. Overall, you will find yourself spending more time and money than you expected but you will, also, be planning your next visit. There is a lot to see outside and we did not get a chance to really investigate the outside as there was so much inside. We will be back: bringing a cooler next time to buy some wine so we can keep it fresh if it happens to be a warm day.

I've been here to apple pick, blueberry pick, strawberry pick and pick flowers. Each experience is fun and has something unique. My favorite is the apple picking. There are usually at least two varieties to choose from and the apples are always delicious! I also love the strawberry picking (and you take a hay ride to get to the field). Sure it is more expensive than if you purchased in a grocery store, but it is a fun experience making memories with your family. If you don't want to go the pick your own route, they have a lot of other fun things to keep you entertained. Bounce pillows, corn maze, slides built into the hillside, a haunted walk through barn, animals and more! And, if you don't want to do any of the extras, it is worth it just to stop and shop in their market! Loads of their fresh produce, baked goods, jarred goods and cute farm related merchandise. The canned/pickled area was my favorite area, with a locally made chili crisp, chai maple syrup and creative sauces and salsas - including a dill pickle salsa! Will be looking up some of the brands to see if they do online ordering and shipping. Due to our travel limitations, our actual purchases were scant - but their blueberries were fresh and a good size for the $5 price, my daughter devoured them for the rest of the weekend. Local jerky was a protein packed snack option for the adults. Also snagged some cookies for dessert that really hit the spot. If your schedule allows, check out the restaurant next door - it's their affiliated "farm to fork" concept. There's always fresh vegetables and fruits that are in season. You can get lots of different types of frozen meats. Their pies are outstanding. There's all kinds of jellies and jams and jarred types of things. This farmers market is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. You can walk down the hill their parking lot and then eat at their farm to fork take-out kitchen located inside the Grist House Beer Crib.

The refrigerators had local dairy products, meat, and pierogies. I had to get the spinach and ricotta pierogies (made in McKees Rocks). I can't say no to a snickerdoodle cookie and there were pumpkin snickerdoodles too. Lots of homemade breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. It is the attention to detail that stood out to me. The radishes were in a resealable (ziploc like) bag. The mushrooms were in a clam shell container. I didn't have to find storage containers which I appreciate. We cooked the corn as soon as I got home and it was old!! We could not eat it! I called the store thinking they would credit my card. She said I HAD to come back to the store with the 13 ears even if they were eaten!! What kind of customer service is this? I will never go back.
