They create floral designs for everything from weddings to birthdays to anniversaries to anything you can dream up (big, small, or everyday). They don't have typical business hours, but you can contact them at any time to set up a consultation. I reached out to Bloom Brigade originally for my wedding flowers and they were super helpful in finding a time that worked well for both of us. After meeting with several florists, my fiance and I felt that Bloom Brigade was the right choice for us -- with Carolyn (aka Clang) getting to the details about our event and Suzan imagining the big picture. Closer to my wedding I met with Clang and Suzan again to finalize our flowers -- we were focused on local, in-season, and in our color palette with lots of inspiration of wildflowers. What Bloom Brigade put together for our day of was above and beyond what we could have imagined. Not only did they create an arbor for our outside ceremony, but they also meticulously created beautiful box center pieces, decorated our venue's mantle (The Mayernik Center), the naked coffee cake, and put other finishing touches throughout the venue as needed. The owner was telling us that a couple had a rehearsal dinner (or possibly reception) here and each area had a different theme. Sushi amongst geisha props, antipasto platters in the Italy area, etc. That's just one of the things that has been done with the space. While they do have exclusive caterers, they have many for you to pick from. There are also valet services available (the parking is....so-so), so holding an event for up to 150 will go off without a hitch. I'm not sure when I'll need that giant giraffe, but if I do, I know exactly where to go.

I spent more time and attention on getting the issue resolved than I did to plan the whole thing. While the venue has potential, the lack of attention to customer concerns and the excuses instead of results left us feeling let down. Her first set of inspiration photos was really cool, but not quite what we were looking for. So we sort of started from scratch and she seemed excited to try again. Many of our emails went unanswered, but she later responded and said she had some health concerns and so wasn't able to answer email, but was doing better now. Take 2 was much closer to what we were looking for. We actually met her in person at the shop in Pittsburgh (we live in Ca) to discuss it. There were a couple of suggestions/requests we had to modify the plan. Again she seemed on board - super friendly and helpful, even offered to help out extra with non-floral design (plates, chairs, etc.). At this point, we absolutely loved her! She had a lot of unique ideas. However, after this meeting she never responded to our emails. Months went by and many emails were sent. In my last email to her, I asked fairly simply for her to just let us know if she still wanted to/was able to work with us, and that we would understand if she felt like we weren't a good fit or if she was too busy. I wrote that if I didn't hear back from her, we would assume that she wasn't going to be able to work with us. We had not paid her a cent (nor been asked to) at this point, but she had clearly put in a good amount of work preparing ideas and slides and meeting with us and such. So we were really surprised to not hear anything back from her. But about 1.5 months later without any response, we still hadn't heard back so we moved on to a different florist. What an odd experience! Great ideas, but not reliable (or maybe she is reliable if she likes you? I really have no idea, we never got any feedback from her!).

Despite the…read moreHiccups you experience during every big event, no matter how well you plan, those wheels kept on rolling to the very end. As the mother of the groom, it appears I was left out of some pertinent information and with this being said, I will send my kudos to the event planners at the station, thank you for your smile, support, quick thinking, and hard work! They had my back and didn't even miss a beat! Nor did it matter if it was me, or anyone else on site, they handling things like a well-oiled machine. I can't be more pleased with the turn out and the follow up. Even after the event Leanne took care of me, and that meant the world to me. Not to mention, the place is beautiful, starting with the environment, the nostalgia the place exuded and the mystery the place as a whole held right down to the very near live train going by. Make sure you tell your guests to take a walk down memory lane, and explore the restored historic site, it is just exquisite. Even with the bumps that the guests nearly noticed, we all had a marvelous time. Thank you again!

The venue is an old train station that has been transformed into a BEAUTIFUL museum and event center! Leanne and her staff made everything with planning so easy, she provided us with so many suggestions for awesome vendors and helped coordinate everything so that our day went flawlessly! It rained on our wedding day (but it's supposed to be good luck!!) and we were supposed to have an outdoor ceremony, I was freaking out but they were able to quickly change our plans for us to an indoor ceremony and everything turned out amazing!! I couldn't have asked for a better day and a huge part of that was thanks to the amazing team that they have there. If you're planning an event in beaver county I definitely recommend checking them out!!
