We had a wake for our Father there yesterday and are so grateful that they were able to accommodate us on such short notice. I knew the service would be fantastic and was still impressed. The venue is gorgeous. The food was absolutely fabulous. Pasta, stuffed chicken, veggies, salad, and even the rolls were as good of our better than anywhere I remember. This is a really cool park near Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Target around Upper St. Clair that I…read morelike to stop at whenever I'm in the area. The trail is great for beginners or if you just want a quick jog. There are several benches you can sit down on along the way, plus a tree stump in the woodsy part that you can also sit on to rest. It's a very well maintained trail that smells like freshly cut wood chips, and has a nice variety of terrain. I didn't see any dog poop (it's a no-dog park) and no litter at all, which the multiple trash cans around the loop definitely help with. While a good portion of the trail has the wood chips, some areas could use a bit more. After rain, a few spots can get muddy and it can get a little marshy in the grassy part where there is no trail. The outer loop is about 1.2 miles, and there are several spots where the trail branches off. There's a more "woody" section and a more "grassland" section, which keeps it interesting. It's also not hard to find parking at the church across the street. There's a lot of birds chirping and tons of squirrels and bunnies, and every once in a while you'll spot deer. Inside the barn fence there are lambs and sometimes horses, which is a nice touch. Also kind of cool is that there are wild chive plants around this trail which is common in the Pittsburgh area, and you'll find some growing in the park if you know what to look for.

The old house, and farm are really special, and I am so glad that the Upper St. Clair Historical Society maintains these buildings and property so we can occasionally get to visit and see how things used to be. Today they had all kinds of activities going on, from hayrides, petting zoo, sheep shearing, cow milking, yarn spinning, beekeeping, and of course tours of the historic house, barn and outbuildings, all of which are like a museum. This place was well worth the price of admission . . . FREE, but the suggested donation was $5 per person.

The reason for this: The dj (Lenny) was paid in full, so that he could go on vacation a week before the event. Unfortunately, bad weather hit and Lenny was unable to make the event. He never spoke with me directly, only to my planners. (H&K Events) Who were amazing and found a fantastic dj to replace him. I HAD TO reach out to him after our big day. The problem we have now is this dj had been paid and is making no attempt to payback the money for an event he never did. He's full of lies and never direct when confronted about the situation. It's now February and my last recourse is legal action. (This c is after a certified letter, numerous calls and emails) It's been an absolute NIGHTMARE. (November to February!) MY ADVICE TO THOSE WANTING A QUALITY DJ FOR ANYTHING TO LOOK ELSEWHERE! This is the most unprofessional, unscrupulous person I've ever dealt with. It's all going to be a hassle.

I have super mixed emotions about this place. We used them for our wedding last year to rent chairs…read morefor an outdoor ceremony , table cloths, and napkins. The shop is so cute and the woman that we worked with made the entire process very easy. Prices were a little high but for the quality of the products it was worth it. We were told that in case of rain the chairs could be exchanged for a nice setup inside of our venue. The day of our wedding of course it rained (it's supposed to be lucky though right?) I got to the venue, the tables looked gorgeous, but no ceremony setup at all...now our venue was gorgeous so it could have been worse but still after you spend all that money you expect to get what you pay for or at least a refund on services you didn't receive. Other than that though all the linens that were brought were beautiful so I have no complaints about any of that.
