This place is in tip top shape, staff is awesome and Cheech is "THE MAN". Friendly, knowledgeable, on his game 24/7. I've been coming here for years, and walk thru the museum of old Porsche cars while i wait! read more

Owner, "Cheech," is the area's (perhaps the East coast's) premiere Porsche professional with an encyclopedic knowledge of the brand as well as a Google-search memory for racing and mechanical history. Ever willing to take the time to discuss either of these topics, including whatever malady or improvements you may wish to discuss regarding your own car, be it a Porsche, a Ferrari or a McLaren (preferably a Porsche), you will find Cheech ever pleasant and generous with his time. The closest I've ever come to owning a Porsche was to inherit a pair of 1967 911S carburetors, but Cheech treated them (and me) with all the respect you'd ever expect. His place is a little difficult to find, and if your P-car is not equipped with GPS, take a cell! Quasimotor Contributing Editor: Forza | The Magazine About Ferrari read more

When I recently picked up my '82 911 SC, I realized I have been taking my car to Rennwerke for 30 years. Why? Top notch work on the car, excellent service, fair prices and the incomparable "Cheech," who knows absolutely everything about Porsches and is simply the best in the business! read more

Rennwerke is unlike any shop you've ever visited or are likely to see. Beyond the fact that their property houses some of the most incredible cars ever built, it's the excellent staff that truly sets them apart. From Ms. Pam at the front desk to John, the owner, orchestrating operations from the office, their service, team, and atmosphere are nothing short of extraordinary. The team operates like a well-oiled machine, moving in sync while independently delivering specialized, personalized service to each client. They manage to do everything and focus on a single task simultaneously--a feat they accomplish with professionalism and pride that would surely make Dr. Ferdinand Porsche proud. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and treated like an old friend stopping by to say hello. The Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) on what would become my first car of this brand was thorough and honest. Paul patiently answered all my questions and guided me through the process, allowing me to observe each step as he worked. His attention to detail and willingness to educate made the experience even more valuable. I'm deeply grateful for this organization's dedication to service, quality, and their commitment to ensuring that those who drive these cars truly enjoy them. My experience with Rennwerke can be summed up by this paraphrased quote from the late Ferry Porsche: "To do, not what is expected, but what is right." read more

Cheech & Robert & all the guys at Rennwerke are next-level Porsche guys. I had them do a whole bunch of stuff on my Boxster and found the price very reasonable. Anyone with a bit of sense that knows Porsche knows these guys are the goods. People come from out of state to get their work done here. I had one of my keys disappear and Cheech replaced it for about half what the local dealer asked AND they washed and detailed my car (For a key!). I'd give them 7 stars if I could... read more

Rennwerke Porsche Technicians - Auto Repair Near Me - Elmsford, New York

This is a highly-regarded shop in the area, so I was unprepared for the long (six month) expensive ($25,000) ordeal my 997 PDK repair turned into. Finally got the car back with outstanding programming issues I'll need to go elsewhere to resolve. OK, I understand these are complex mechanisms. But I can't excuse being billed for work (replacing the battery, $400) that was simply never done. I know because I installed the existing battery myself less than a year ago. Now Cheech doesn't even return my calls. read more

These guys have been servicing my Porsche for 20 years, who knew they would work miracles on my 69 Vette. They spent a lot of time fixing a lot of things that was wrong and now the car drives like a new car. Great job for a lot less than I thought. They are great with Porsches too! read more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE... I was impressed upon walking into the shop, clean professional shop, greeted by helpful mechanics, and receptionist. Car delivered on time as promised . The shop is well out of the way for me, so, drop off / pick up has its challenges. Storage space is tight, this I understand. However the pressure to get the car out of the lot, I PAID Rennwerke to deliver the car BTW.. I had to drive the delivery person back. This is acceptable. That's not the case at the Porsche dealership. Some of the repairs were made, the easy ones, other items on the list were just passed over. Hence the NEW battery purchased at the shop was dead in 6 weeks. Called (2x) ask about replacement, "I'll have Cheech call you" BOTH times... No return call Was asked by the receptionist... "did you drive the car?"I had driven the car 4 times , started twice in 6 weeks. ! The gist of the conversation was 'too bad' A NEW battery goes dead in 6 weeks ? Why, because the draw from the radio was never fixed. This should be my problem? Hence the car is now at the Porsche dealer to repeat the same work that was already paid for, including the probability of needing to purchase another new battery. Will never go back, and do not recommend read more

Terrible conversation with person on the phone ,not a good listener to my questions and not accommodating. I will find someone else for my repair. Wish I could rate zero stars. read more

Honestly, I do not like to give negative opinions on a shop, but these guys have demonstrated that they cannot even mount and balance a tire properly without damaging a wheel. After inspecting my wheels more closely, i found that all 4 of my mint condition wheels were scuffed around the edges, the paint chipped all along the rim edge. I would stay away from this place to be honest. Thanks again for ruining all of my wheels. read more

Super clean facility and super professional garage ... He took my GT3 and made it into monster!!! The worst shop ever I dropped my car off after months he kept telling me it's almost ready!!! I went to go look at it after months of waiting with my son and it was thrown in a back corner outside next to his junk parts cars covered, when my son uncovered it we noticed that it was crashed in the front, he didn't tell me he crashed it until after I saw the car !!!! After waiting months, I just wanted my car back, I got it back more broken then when I dropped it off, the hood doesn't close probably, my radio doesn't work, my gas tank cover doesn't close because they must of put in the fuel tank or neck wrong and carburetor links fall off when I give the car gas , he also "cheech " was waiting on hood molding for the car and gave me the runaround that he ordered them but lost them and was going to order them again but never called to say he got them. Not a mans man he's a crook I don't know how people trust this guy read more

I know Yelp is used mainly for restaurants reviews, but I am SHOCKED that nobody has reviewed Rennwerke Porsche before. This place is absolutely legendary, and is home to the best Porsche mechanics in the Northeast. Just to give everyone some background, this place is owned by a guy named 'Cheech.' His knowledge of Porsche's, combined with his amazing personality is as good as it gets. He is trustworthy, runs a clean shop, and most importantly, stays away from the usual BS you get with car mechanics. If you own a Porsche, and live in either NY, Conn, or any neighboring states/cities, you are doing yourself and your car a disservice by not coming here. Proud client for 10 years. Owner of a 1982 911 SC. read more

Been going to the dealer for years but as my car gets older it is not a model they work on every day. Been aware of Rennwerke for some years and decided to give them a try when my ABS light came on intermittently. I could not be more impressed. They stayed late getting to the bottom of this persistent fault as I waited. They figured out it happened when the wheel was turned and tracked it down to a wire going to one of the ABS sensors. They then cut that wire and housing out and used part of an old loom they had to replace it. I cannot thank them enough for the expertise and persistent to find the fault. I am now a customer for life. I also counted three Porsche's of my model in the shop at the same time as there were models from later and earlier years. This was just the expert mechanics for my car I was looking for. read more

I never met the previous owner of my 85.5 944, Cheech sold it for him to me, that was 5 years ago, Cheech has gotten my car in at a moments notice with out an appointment, when I need it, is always over seeing every thing, Eats, Sleeps, Thinks Porsche's 24/7, it is in his blood, and this shop is by far the cleanest shop I have ever been in bar none, if you own a Porsche, drop by and say hi to Cheech from his favorite Chimney Sweep, James, forget the work they will do on your car, and just check out the parking lot of well over 50+ Porsche's. The staff is friendly and Knowledgeable, I pulled in and Gasper says "I see you changed the Rotors to cross drilled" (from 50-75' away), so they knew my car, take an interest in my car as they do with all of them, one visit and you would be sorry, thanks Rennwerke read more

Awesome place! When I bought my 1981 911SC from a friend I was told to bring it to Cheech for service. He had serviced the car since the previous guy had it. I put the car in his hands and he took great care of it for years. Their knowledge of Porsche's is amazing. So when I picked up a 2005 Mercedes CLK, I brought it to Cheech, and was amazed again at how well he knew the car and was able to figure out what it needed. The should charge admission just to walk around the parking lot and check out the cars. read more

They performed a PPI for me and were extremely accommodating with the rushed schedule. Did a great job! Super professional and knowledgeable about Porsches. Highly recommend. read more

Cheech and Gasper are really excellent at what they do but I fear they are making too many commitments and for the every day Porsche driver; it makes it very inconvenient when you have to return numerous times for a single service. I think at my last visit Cheech told me 3x's how busy he is...makes me think he is too busy for my business which I hope is not true. read more

It was like pulling teeth trying to get them to perform a pre purchase inspection on time. Constant False promises of it getting done. And lies about what was actually going to be done- for example a compression test. Come to find out they didn't do one, Even though the man I spoke to said it is included. overall I received a few Blurry photos, and a check sheet for $350.00. I relied on reviews and expected a thorough and impressive inspection presentation at the least, Please Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for an inspection. read more

The team that Cheech and Gasper are top notch. The shop is the second to none I went to them over ten years ago when I bought my 911 3.0. It now has the conversion 3.6 swap and customized . They had this machine running on the dime with the help of these gentlemen. Not only are they good people they are by far top notch techs that will perform miracles and work with you and treat you like family at the same time. I could actually say they have a great staff and the best sense of humor you would ever see in a top shop. They are great and I'm greatful. read more

I have a 1993 968 Cab and have been to several so called " Porsche and Foreign car experts " , and with a colleague of mine recommended Rennwerke and stated that they would resolve this issue and let me tell you " he was right " after conversing with Chris ( shop Foreman ) and Cheech they have RESOLVED my issue that my 3 previous shops could not. I have my go to shop now and I will recommend this shop for their professionalism and expertise. read more

I own a 1961 356B Roadster that I have had since 1984. I have had it serviced by a wide variety of repair shops in Northern California, Connecticut & New York. Rennwerke provides by far the best service that I have had for over 30 years. They are outstanding and yet reasonably priced. read more

Cheech and his crew is simply the best. He will not overcharge and actually do some minor fixes for free if it can be wrenched in a few minutes. I discovered Rennwerke on the usual P-car forums. As they were close to where I live I decided to visit. The place is a Mecca to Porsche cars - I would say for the most part for the air-cooled generations, but I saw a few water pumpers there too. I put my '97 993 C2S in the hands of Cheech and his mechanics, and have never felt that my car was in more trusted hands. Let's start with Cheech and his welcoming nature. Don't go to Cheech if you're in a huge hurry. Cheech likes to know his customers, and understand in who's hands this great car is. When you leave your car with Rennwerke you're leaving it with the experts so also don't try to tell them their business. I say these things only since thanks to the internet these days people think they're better informed than the experts. I also say that as I was one of them. Give them your trust and you will be rewarded. A home mechanic myself, I did as much of my own service work as I could but I went to Cheech with larger service items I couldn't or didn't want to do myself. They took my car, did all of these, and reported back to me on the outcome and the general condition of my car. I have gone back a few times and Cheech is always welcoming and eager to discuss. I have seen on occasion other enthusiasts stopping over just to converse or hang out. The biggest impression was when I recently saw several California plated 356's hanging around for service. Caspar mentioned that they were shipped over for service, not for a lack of well established service shops over there on the west coast! It reminded me of when I visited the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and the dealer nearby had several US plated Carerra GT's lingering around that had been shipped over for factory service. Enough said. I couldn't recommend Cheech and his crew any more, and I look forward to every visit. Rennwerke...There is no substitute! read more

Cheech is absolutely the best!! He cared for several Porsches for us over the years as if they were his own!! But, it was his personal care and concern when I had a blowout on the West Side Highway that really showed us what an incredible man he is. I must have sounded shaken up on the call. And, in what seemed like seconds after he said he would call me right back, there he was, racing down the highway to rescue me... NYC only allows certain companies to tow/flatbed on their highways - Cheech didn't want my 997TTCab to be left in the hands of someone we did not know. So much to my surprise and relief, he took one of his mechanics and everything else they needed in his own car to bring my car back to his shop. I haven't had a Porsche in a couple of years, so we haven't seen Cheech lately - but I always recommend him and always will!! read more

Have used Rennwerke for many years, through 3 different 911's. Always good work at a fair price. Good people too!!

I've used Rennwerke Porsche and Cheech 5 times already since I bought my Porsche Carrera. I refuse to have anyone touch my car but Rennwerke Porsche. Yesterday, (Sunday) I saw coolant on the garage floor behind my car. I was at Rennwerke today at 7AM sharp with no appointment due to this emergency. Cheech had tons of cars lined up, customers and appointments. Cheech saw how concerned I was about my car trouble, and he is aware of my work situation since I own my own business and I am always under stress with work. Cheech took my car right in on the lift. My vehichle was fixed properly and fairly while I waited. Cheech could have easily, told me anything or charged me for whatever he wanted, or billed me for parts I did not need, but he was fair and honest. Thank you Cheech and Rennwerke Porsche. You always take the best care of my Porsche 911. read more

We both know you're a thief who tried to get away with overcharging me $4000......Had the car looked over by two different Porsche dealers and was told the partial rebuild you did was very poor quality and never the less put back wrong hence the issues I was having due to the lack of your inexperience. $14,000 for 4 used pistons, rings and sleeve one cylinder I think that's outrageous so did the dealer. You claim you honor all work done for a year yet you had my car sitting there over a month without even touching it to try to fix the mess you made. The end result is you disrespected me nor did you fix the mess you started. One thing I can assure you is every dog has his day!!!! read more
