So...pizza. It has become rather an innocuous cuisine in the American lexicon of food. Friday nights spent at the local take-out sitting in front of Netflix for the evening, though fun and relaxing, is not usually a gastronomically orgasmic experience. But every so often, the moon and the stars and the planets align and The One is born. Renna's Pizza is the Chosen One. I believe it is housed in a Super Fund site at the old Olean Center Mall. A tiny hole in the wall to be sure with cramped, though ample seating. But the smells are to die for. And the crust...light, crispy, airy, crackly, flaky and bursting with that flavor you crave in pizza. And the cheese is not too much but just right. The sauce straddles the line of perfection. We get pizza from Renna's East on most Friday nights. The ordering is easy on the Slice app. It is always ready when I get there to pick it up. The staff know me and are always friendly & positive. Renna's had been around for most of my life so it is like a bit of nostalgia. I really love the pizza and I am SO glad they have the "original" pizza oven! read more

We ordered 2 Panzerottis today. We always loved these but the price is crazy and they don't even fill them. The two we bought today were very light and definitely not worth the price. We can get a good size sandwich anywhere and includes fries for less than $16 dollars each. Sorry you just lost us as customers. read more

Have had pizza from here through the years but tonight's was the end of the line Absolutely worst pie ever, a large pepperoni with banana peppers. Yep, Renna's is located at the mall in the center of Olean, NY. Its probably the kind of place you wouldn't go out of your way to find unless you happen to: A). be a local B). be at the mall C). have a friend who is a local tell you about Rennas D). have a friend who was at the mall tell you about Rennas This can serve as a shout out to the pharma reps who have to drive out to Olean from Erie, PA and Buffalo, NY to visit their 1 or 2 docs who most likely have huge Rx-writing potential, all the sales people floating through town, and parents, friends and new students affiliated with St. Bona's... and anyone else that might be in the neighborhood for lunch. If you're on the other side of town on W. State Street (near Tops), Renna's has recently opened a new standalone location. Since I have only visited the original mall space, I can't quite Yelp about the new digs. Hurry up and get out there... you can be "First to Review"!! read more

This pizza is good, maybe not the best but absolutely in the running! Depending on who you ask you may hear that people love this place or miss when they used to love it. I eat here regularly, always getting a pizza and it is always delicious. However, the staff here could be much friendlier. Also, the bathroom situation here is dodgy at best. This would be a three star review because the customer service and bathroom leave much to be desired but the pizza is just that good! All in all this is an average shop in the mall but it serves stellar pizza. I haven't tried any other food here. read more

I remember when I was in high school Renna's was the best and only place you went for pizza(well except Tasta and that was only late night) I hadn't had Renna's since the early 90s when I was home from College. Last year my husband and I were in town and got a pie to go...it was exactly as I remembered it, Yes we went to the mall to pick it up. Renna's is my gold standard of pizza. It's the pizza I was raised on and the pizza that I compare all other pizzas to. It's thin and crispy with just enough sauce and absolutely perfect, slightly greasy cheese. There are very few restaurants that I have been to in my life where the quality is exactly the same now as it was when I had my first slice 30 years ago. They have the most awesome homemade lemon, lime and orangeades too. The mall location is better than their "new" standalone store. If you find yourself in Olean, NY for a St. Bonna's game or for some post-holiday shopping... Make sure you stop at Renna's! It might be a pizza place in the mall, but it is far from Mall Fare! The pizza is thin, perfectly crispy, and topped with the finest sauces, cheeses, and accessories. I would give 0 if i could. This place used to be the best in the area, but after its sale and subsequent hiring of, let's say, not very intelligent or friendly workers, it has turned into maybe the worst pizza place in town. If the blonde guy isnt working the pizza isn't good. Ordered 2 slices today in hopes it would redeem itself, however, the worker put my 2 slices in the oven, removed them in under a minute and the pizza fell apart. So, he put 2 more in, REMOVED them even SOONER than he did before. I got home (2 min drive) and the pizza fell apart just like the first 2. I'm not sure why they think it only takes 40 seconds to heat pizza properly, most people want a thin and slightly crispy slice. I was served a soft, mushy, cold mess. Sorry, Rennas. you used to be magnificent. now, you're an afterthought, and after today I will never return. read more

I agree with the reviewer who stated that this is their gold standard of pizza. I've never found another slice that has quite compared to what Renna's produces. True NY style slice with a super-thin, crisp crust roughly the size of a toddler's torso. Delicious. read more
