My daughter and I are new to the area and we were told to go here for a true Olean Pizza experience. "One of the best pizza places in town!" We were SO disappointed. The pizza was dry, almost no sauce, and flavorless. The wings were just as bad! We spent almost $80 to get pizza here and I would've preferred dominos over this. Napoli is our go to for family dine in as well as delivery. We are regulars here. We joke that if we don't order here once a week, they should do a "wellness check" on us LOL. We have always received absolutely fantastic service in house. Especially from our favorite server Heidi. Our child has some special needs and Chef Ed has even come to our table to MAKE SURE our ticket was entered correctly (that's how often we eat there) if we change up our order lol. Our pizza is always superb and fresh. Pasta is always delicious and flavorful!!! The kids always love their crispy fresh fries. Came for our anniversary dinner on 9-25-2024. We came specifically for the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo that is now in their menu full time! It was a stellar meal! Napoli used to be our go to place especially in warm weather or take out pizza but last week we ordered a sheet pizza and 2 orders of wings for delivery. Never again!!!!!! Ordered the fresh succulent steak salad and the eggplant parmigiana and wings, delivered. The steak salad had friggin dried out SteakUms on it, crappy ranch dressing and was horrible! The eggplant was something they buy frozen and it is like a pickled slime in a cardboard coating! 2 meals thrown away and I am pissed I had to pay for the privilege! Again Napoli never fails to disappoint. Ordered a pizza and it was absolutely excellent. The cheese always blows my mind in how flavorful it is. Restaurant service goes up and down depending on the night or who's working. To give a bad review based upon service and not talk about the FOOD. Is ridiculous. It's like being a movie critic and giving a film 1 star because the seats were uncomfortable in the theater. We want to know about the FOOD. It's taste, quality, freshness. Of course most of the reviews I've seen are from people that created a yelp account just to come on here to complain: typical boring oleanders.... 2. This is a site where you rate the restaurants. Don't complain about living in Olean. We ordered for takeout and were impressed with how freshly prepared everything arrived and traveled very well. Everything about the meal was above average. Their "hot" wings were cooked well, close to crispy, but the heat was mellower than I would have expected. The garlic bread was a handful of almost mini Texas toasts which was an interesting switch up. If you prefer the crustier pieces of garlic bread, their version is for you. I was probably most impressed by their individual sized pizza because I find it harder to be on the receiving end of a smaller-sized pizza than you'd think. We've been coming to this place since I was a kid and it's always been a family favorite. Great pizza and lots of other options too -- subs, salads, calzones, etc. Typical family Italian restaurant. The seating inside has a nice atmosphere and the staff is generally very friendly. Prices reasonable. If you're interested in trying something new, I suggest their Vesuvio dishes. Basically a calzone in that it has cheese and meat and veggies sandwiched between dough, but comes with marinara sauce to dip it in and it is simply delicious. Picture attached. I ordered a large cheese pizza and 2 dozen wings. According to the website it should have been $23.50 plus tax. Went to pick it up and it came to $34. I asked for a take out menu but was told those prices are outdated as well. Be forewarned when looking at the menu prices are actually over 30% higher. Being that I was starving and I didn't want to go home empty handed to a pissed off wife I took it anyways. Napoli is a locally owned and operated pizza shop in Olean. They offer many different types of cuisine from pizza to subs, salads, calzones, pasta, and fried foods. I can honestly say that throughout my life, I've ordered from Napoli more than 100 times and I struggle to think of a time when I was disappointed. Now, that's not saying I wasn't frustrated with a longer than acceptable delivery time, but the food was always good. Feed a bunch of people at a party by ordering a tray of pizza and 50 wings. Have a "decent" hot meal waiting for you after work by ordering the spaghetti/meatballs. (Comes with garlic bread) The variety of "parmesan-style" subs are also very good. I rolled into the Olean Hampton Inn during a rain storm on a cross country motorcycle ride. Napoli had a menu in the hotel guide book, so I called them to place an order. They said it would be 35-40 minutes. An hour and a half later I still had no food and called to see what was going on. They stated they came to the hotel, but the order was for 103 (I was in 301). I have been away from olean for a long time so the new facility is beautiful. Service was awesome and the wings were so good. Only recommendation is to make fresh blue cheese recipe. The blue cheese dressing tasted like it was store bought and had a slimed mouth feel. Try fresh sour cream, mayo, crumbled blue cheese, black pepper, pinch kosher salt, garlic powder, . Fresh or dried dill is a great addition. I cooked at a restaurant in Buffalo and that was our recipe. The fresh ingredients make a huge difference. Very good pizza, in a still-new-looking, well-kept-up restaurant, in a section of town that was old and run down forty years ago when I grew up in Olean. To me, Napoli Pizza are heroes, a small business that stands out as a bright spot, a place that hasn't given in to dreary gray-sky, nothing-ever-changes, grimy, I-gave-up-decades-ago Olean. Napoli shows it doesn't take a Magnano to tear down some old dump and build in its place something clean and new and alive with enough self-respect to keep itself bright and attractive. When your downtown is dominated by state offices that pay their rent by taxing you to death, and the stores and restaurants you frequent most are big chains that work you like a colony, like a plantation, to suck out what little money and resource you have until you're dry - look around, see where it leaves you. I was in the Olean area and went to Napoli Pizza on the recommendation of friends. Theresa had the shrimp ravioli special in butter and garlic sauce and said it was very good. I had the eggplant parmigiana. The eggplant was very good, nicely cooked and flavorful, but I found the marinara sauce to be very bland and the side order of spaghetti was overcooked and on the mushy side. The bread that came with dinner was quite good. The salad was unmemorable; mostly lettuce with a pretty average dressing. The restaurant has a lounge and bar area separate from the dining room; they had a live band the Friday night we went. Overall it was a good experience in an area with limited options. read more

My adventure in poor customer service...Here's how it ran down at about 6:30 PM 5-30-15, some 3 hours ago....Went to their web site to look at the menu as my wife suggested them for a change of pace from what we normally get. They aren't my favorite but are decent. I find the large "Deluxe Cheese Pizza" for $11.50 and call and make the order. Went to pick it up and tell the counter girl my name and gave her my debit card. She runs it and gives me the slip to sign, as Iam about to do so, I notice the price as $16.50, about 30% higher than listed. Ibring this to the girls attention and she looks at her screen (showing the in-house system, NOT the website) and says something to the effect of " No, it's $16.50." I looked at her for a second, cocked my head and said "This is my problem how? Your website says $11.50." The young lady gets the manager who comes over and I explain the problem. Now, most persons who are experienced in customer service, and good at it, would have looked at the problem and simply made it right and honored the price THEIR site said (And then had it fixed.) He looks at me like he can't believe this is an issue and says "Well, if you look at the bottom of the page it says prices subject to change without notice." Does a semi-shrug and says I can give you a new printed menu." A new printed menu? What good is that going to do me NOW? I waived him off, shook my head and said no thanks and walked out. I get to my car and remember I paid for the pizza but did NOTsign the slip and walked back in to have the girl reverse the charge. I got the impression, when she saw me come back in, that she was a bit nervous, as if I came back in to chew her or the manager a new one after stewing on it for a few minutes. She gets off the phone and kind of timidly asks if she can help me. Iask her to reverse teh charge on my card. She goes to the manager to ask how to take car of it and I hear him tell her it would be removed at the end of the night when they added up the tickets. She comes back and explains this and I was fine with that (Will be checking my on-line banking to make sure it isn't forgotten). Now, I am a pretty laid back, easy going person who is pretty easy to get along with and generally only give attitude when I get it, so, I apologised to the girl for my snarkyness when I responded to her response as to the price. I also explained to her that a well designed website can be adjusted EASILY in only a couple of minutes so the manager's excuse is/was a cop out and is simply LAZINESS. If your site is so bad that changing it is a chore/expensive then you are best off with a site that is one page and lists your address, hours, and contact info...nothing else... so not much needs to be changed. Now, bare in mind, the price difference was about 30% from the website to what Iwas charged...you don't raise the price on a pizza 30% in one fell swoop. This tells me that the website has likely been out of date for a LONG TIME. Another reviewer for them on yelp lists a similar issue with them with their website prices. A good manager, with people skills would have honored the price advertised and assured the customer that site pricing would be fixed ASAP...resulting in a satisfied/happy customer. This guy's WTF/dismissive attitude has cost them a customer from here on out. I will not be back for anything, even if the wife wants it...and I will spread the word. The restaraunt business is to big and cut-throat to operate like that, there's just to many other choices. (For what it's worth I went to a national chain that has HUT in the name after I left there and got 2 medium pizzas with unlimited toppings for $15.50 and they were EXCELLENT (They recently overhauled their pizza menu and done a really good job of it, at least in my town.) read more

We have tried going to Napoli's a few different times,just to give it an honest try. The pizza we had,twice,was horrible. It used to be delicious a long time ago, I dont know if they changed the recipe or what. This pizza we had twice was really thick and tasted like hard garlic Bread with toppings on it. One other time We thought we'd try their pasta. Their eggplant parmesan was actually very good. But their Alfredo sauce on my husband's chicken Alfredo tasted like just milk and garlic it didn't taste like true italian food. So we probably won't be going back there. read more

The Procacci family started their Napoli Pizza shop just across the state line in Bradford, PA back in the '70s, and Tony was their eldest son. The pizza was fantastic, and it wasn't until I moved away that I learned how good it really was. We went back to visit the area, and since the original shop had changed hands and not half of what it was we came here so my family could hopefully get a taste of what real New York pizza tasted like. Was living in Bradford, PA when the Procacci's opened their first shop in the early 1970's, and it was a regular stop until I graduated from college and moved away. Have tried 'pizza' in countless stores in multiple states over the years and have never found any as good. No hype...just fact. We went back up north on vacation and visited Tony's restaurant recently and it hasn't changed - he still puts out the best New York Style pizza around. Period. I have ordered from this restaurant many times and been happy with their food so I decided to dine in the other night with me and my family. Don't make the same mistake ! First off the waitress was rude acted like she didn't know what was going on could have been new or drugged out who knows. The food came out backwards. Salads were completely forgot all together the waitress kept blaming the cooks in the back but working in many different restaurants I knows waitresses get the salads so her excuses were nothing but a cover up of her negligence. Already a nightmare to top it all off the food came out 2 plates at a time with 25 minutes in between. I am one that will try to wait for everybody to get their food before starting my meal but here it is impossible I was already done before my girlfriend got her food.
