Looking for a pair of CUSTOM FIT, HANDMADE boots or shoes, look no longer as Nicholas Gutierrez of Renick's Western Boots is a skilled cordwainer. I use cordwainer and not cobbler because the distinction is significant. Nick looks at the whole person and builds a boot custom to your foot while addressing symmetry of the body; you will no longer need that weekly chiro, massage, PT appointment. Nick carries a variety of leathers, all quality from basic to exotic. He is able to design any type of boot or shoe to meet your needs and preference whether it be a plain or fancy or fine style. The wait is long but worth the time; he's must take a full measurement of your feet and ankle, then with a mold and those measurements he fabricates PERSONAL lastS custom to your two feet, get that two custom lasts that match your feet; not generic and not the same last for two feet but two unique lasts for two unique feet, then the shoe making begins. Once you have you shoes, he wants to know what is right what could be better and improve that shoe for you; now not later. http://www.renicksboots.com/index.htm

Three pair of boots that are at least 5 years old and get worn all the time.

I have been going to Renick's for 20 years. Nick has made me at least 10 pairs of boots. I have some I wear that look great that are over 10 years old. All my boots fit perfect the first time I put them on. When they are new I hate to wear them because they really are a work of art. The secret to making them last is don't wear same boots two days in a row And don't get them wet. I think I have six in the rotation now, for work and Two that I use for working outside that are worn down pretty good. Nick does a great job resoling them and doing repairs. Some I have had resoled at least 4 times and the boots look like new. If you want a high quality boot at reasonable price go see Nick, he is the best. He Also has done special projects for me out of leather. Great guy, worth a trip just to check him and his boots out!

Highly recommend coming here for custom boots. Also, he's great for repairing leather issues. Very honest as well.

Nick does a beautiful job - he has resoled 3 pair of my cowboy boots and they are even better now than when I first got them!

He then brought out about a half-dozen boxes of shoes for me to try on. I decided which were the best fit and asked for my size in a particular color. Unfortunately, the manufacturer makes them in that color but the store does not carry it. Andrew then advised me to go directly to the shoe company's website to purchase my choice. I responded that because of all the time and effort he spent with me I wanted him to get the commission. He said that he wasn't on commission and that it was perfectly alright for me to shop via the shoe's website. I left the store a happy "customer" and he had a big smile on his face. Thank you, Andrew, you're a credit to the company.

They'll be informed of the best shoe fit. I shared my preferences and the associate brought me several potential options and heard me out if something wasnt for me. Even patient with me when I wanted to try a size smaller, given the shoe felt too wide. They help you put them on and tie them up. Left satisfied with what I got and with how personable the service felt. I also got a pair of shoes as a gift for someone and they worked with me, on a later day, to exchange for a smaller size (i went too big). I will say theyre evening staff (6ish) on the weekend isn't as welcoming. Working solo and long day so seemed like they were tired. When I went in the afternoon (3ish), the staff was more lively. This location also did provide more of an array of shoe options than I've seen at others.
