My family has been coming here since the store opened. I frequently brought my son here growing up. I came here to do some Christmas shopping and just spent $140 on two pairs of vans and received zero customer service. The kid with the long curly hair helping me did not even let me know that he put the shoes upfront. I was standing there waiting for him to come back, I told him I was going to call my husband to ask him about the other pair of vans. He never came back. I had to ask him for more help. He was obviously more interested in hanging out with his buddies and giggling with them than to do his job and help a customer. I was also looking for a jacket and some shirts for Christmas presents but decided I wasn't going to be spending any more money here. Extremely rude help. I won't be coming back here. Defy needs better customer service, I've been to this shop a few times being the reason the customer service is really ass. As soon as you walk in you're being judged, and I know that because I can feel it plus, the workers don't care to talk about customers who had just left out loud so basically just know when you walk out you're gonna get talked about no matter what. This place could be better and I would enjoy it if the workers didn't have their head up their asses, the guy with the long curly hair and glasses needs to be fired asap, it's like he doesn't wanna be there anyways with the attitude he has. I don't even go there often, this is my first time this year going there and nothing has changed, only change I see is when the owner is there then the guys wanna start working, now the owner is nice ive been there while he's there. I've seen it and I've noticed it, this place isnt that bad it's just the workers, the owner alone is a nice guy who does more work in the shop then the workers for sure. Get better workers who actually wanna help others please, and fire that kid who already has a review written about him from last year. He really thinks he's above everyone just because he works there. I would love to call this my local board shop but with those workers I prefer spending my money elsewhere. read more

Best board shop around. I drive from Yl for the customer service. The employees are very patient with all 3 of my kids trying on several pairs of shoes to find the perfect fit. My 15 year old daughter loves the girls section of clothes. They are trendy, affordable and good quality. My boys love the variety of t-shirts. My husband loves the watches, sunglasses and clothes. Since three years ago or so since I bought my snowboard at Defy. This shop has been pack with good skate and snow things to buy.

Couldn't be any happier with my experience I just had with the staff at defy. Came in for some last min Vegas items and they were more than happy to not only help me out in finding just what I needed but to let me know what items were on sale so it didn't hit my pocket too hard. I had bought a pair of shorts a few months ago that started to tear at the seem I advised what appeared to be the manager that this was my second pair to do this, no questions asked he exchanged them out for me. The owner mike is always around the shop and has been for years. He's very nice and caring about his local customers and he has a manager (Jamie) and staff who carry on his caring and helpful principles. They have great deals and products which are different from the chain surf and skate shops. If they don't have a certain thing in the shop you want, then they will be sure to do everything they can to get it. I've shopped at this store for years and plan to continue to do so for as long as they are around. Go visit the store once and you will understand exactly what I'm talking about. The guys in the store have always been more than helpful here and very friendly! Have been going to Defy since my almost 20-year old was in kindergarten. It's so nice to have mentors for the skateboarding crowd that frequents the store. Many times I've watched as they helped my son put new grip tape on his board, or answer any questions he had about the best setup. Just generally good guys in there! One of the employees is rude but the rest specially the older dude are polite, selection isn't great it's about average.

Came here just to grip my board and these guys said "I can't let you use a razor blade because if you cut yourself you'll sue me" what the hell? i then asked how am I suppose to grip my board then? The guy then said I don't know... Rude ass customer service. This is no skateshop. Never coming back again. Defy board shop.. You suck.. The people who work here are very nice and friendly. I was here and they were having a 20% storewide deal which was great. All their employees made me feel welcome, let me try on t-shirts with ease and chatted with me about skateboarding. One of the employees by the name of Chris was very helpful as well. Very cool attitude and gripped up a couple skateboards for me. I was thinking of getting a skateboard deck and ended up leaving with two, plus some clothing and accessories. Great service.
