I have been getting eyelash extensions since January, and have had no problems with them until this past week. To get the fuller effect, I started to use the flares of individual lashes applying them myself with Ardell Glue, which I had no idea was as durable as it is. When I went into my appointment last Tuesday, I paid $80.00 total with tip for a fill. Before the actual fill took place, I told Brooke (the eyelash professional that works here) I still had the individual ones on. She had to put some remover on to loosen them, it hurt and I do not recommend putting the individual ones on yourself. Anyways, the fill went on. When we were done I will just be honest, my lashes weren't nearly as full as I wanted them and paying 80.00 I expected a little more, but, I hate to complain so I left it alone. On Saturday, I started looking for a new place to go and found Amazing Lash in Cedar Park, which I love already. When I was in my appointment, the lash lady couldn't even brush through my eyelashes because there was still GLUE from the lashes I put on a week ago. Basically, Renew Med Spa put an entire layer of eyelashes on top of the glue that not to mention was irritating my eyes, making them itch, and some burning.. Amazing Lash was very professional and said they couldn't add any eyelashes and I needed to have them removed ASAP and that Renew putting an entire layer on top of my eyelashes was ruining my real eyelashes. Disappointed. I had another eyelash appointment with Renew the next Tuesday, three days from Saturday. I had scheduled this a week in advance. I had to change this appointment to a removal which made me extremely upset because I had just gotten them filled not even a week ago. I had originally made my appointment for 4:15 since I had to be somewhere at 5:15. When I asked how long the removal took, the receptionist said about 45 minutes which worked out perfectly. Keep in mind I work an office job 8-4 which is why I made the appointment at 4:15. Anyways, when I called to check on the time they said they double booked me so they couldn't get me in at 4:15, which is not my fault. My eyes were so uncomfortable I had to leave work, miss MY hours, because Kasey(the owner) spaced on how long a new fresh set took. again, not my fault. Moving on, when I got to the salon to get my eyelashes removed, Brooke was super nice as always and so was the receptionist. I asked for a refund seeing as my eyelashes were having to be removed a week later and was advised to speak with Kasey. Never once was I rude to her, or tried to blame it all on them seeing as I put the lashes on. However, if there was still glue on my eyes there should have never been another fill. The lashes should have been removed by Brooke and another set should have been put on. Today when I spoke on the phone with Kasey, she was not understanding of this at all and was only willing to refund me 25.00 since I come in for mini fills every week, HOWEVER I paid 80.00 A WEEK AGO. Kasey then tried to say Brooke did not want me to have to pay for an entire new set, which I understand, but if the lashes had glue that would damage my real eyelashes and even eyes I expect the honest truth. I also pay 50.00 a week so money has never been an issue. She then tried to backtrack saying Brooke did not see the glue but if she knew I needed a new set just didn't want me to have to pay for it, what would be the reason for me needing a new set? Exactly. I am not happy with Renew Spa or Kasey's professionalism. At a previous job I worked the customer was always right and as a professional you should always be kind and understanding of any situation. I will not be satisfied until I receive a refund for this mess up on Renews part. read more
