I dropped off the motorcycle at the BMW service dept. on 6/1 (where it stayed for a month) BMW couldn't figure out what is wrong with it so they charged me $700 to replace some parts. They want to charge me another $2000 for more parts that may or may not fix the problem. I called Motopia and talked to Jessie explained what's going on and asked if they can help with the repairs and he said it's my problem not theirs. I reported this to B.B.B. and Motopia's resolution was this: If Mr.***** can return the vehicle in the condition in which he received it we can discuss a remedy by either arranging a wholesale purchase of the motorcycle or trading it towards a newer unit with a warranty. So I went to return the motorcycle and Jessie gave me a low ball deal on the BMW and basically said I can't afford their newer units, now I'm stuck with a bike that doesn't run. It's sad that a business can take advantage of an elderly native-american man and smile at the same time.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Indian Motorcycle of Albuquerque!!…read more I'm live in Connecticut, on Sunday (6/14) morning, the first ride of a 10-day vacation with 50 other riders (30 bikes), riding my 2015 Indian Roadmaster from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, for the first leg of our tour... Barely out of town, my clutch lets go.... I had the bike hauled to Indian Motorcycle of Albuquerque, even though they were closed Sundays and Mondays. I parked the bike out front and caught a ride so that I could meet up with the rest of the group in Madrid, then on to Santa Fe. At around 11 in the morning, I called the store to let them know my bike was out front and to ask what could be done to get it fixed.. of course, there was no answer.... I then tried sending a text to that number, just in case it would go through... I immediately received a "canned' text stating that they were closed on Sundays and Mondays. I'm beginning to think that my vacation is ruined... Less than 5 minutes later, I receive a text saying that they are contacting their Service Manager and they'd get back to me, in the meantime, they searched the country for a dealer with a clutch in stock... there are only 5 available in the whole country, they could probably have my bike fixed by the end the week, possibly the next week.... Vacation ruined... I then ask, what would they give me on a trade in for my Roadmaster, thinking if I bought a bike on Tuesday when they reopen, I could meet back up with the group in Durango, Colorado... They say their Sales Manager, Smokey, would call me... Smokey calls me and says he's going into the shop to take a look at my bike, just in case there's something easy they could fix... he calls a few hours later to let me know that it is the clutch and gives me a pretty good number for what they'd give me for my bike on trade. He then absolutely shocks me and says that they're willing to come in on Monday, their day off, to get me back on the road. I picked out a "left-over" 2025 Roadmaster Darkhorse PowerPlus 108, with the 200-watt audio system! I show up on Monday morning, Smokey and Eric are already prepping the bike. I asked them to install a heel shifter and armrests. I'm swapping everything from my old bike to the new, when they inform me that they don't have the "Darkhorse" armrests, but they did have the black pads. So, they swapped the armrests from my old bike (chrome) to the new... At some point Denise (the GM) came in to do the contract and financing, again, this is their day off!!! She had other places to be! The whole process was flawless! The only problem was GEICO, the binders they kept sending over were wrong, that was probably the longest part of the whole ordeal! They had me back on the road, on my new bike, before 11AM I cannot thank them enough for saving my vacation and going above and beyond with incredible support and customer service. If you're looking for a new motorcycle, look at Indian Motorcycle of Albuquerque first!! They took care of me when I needed them the most, on their days off, even !!!

Coach David and assistant coach Matt were marvelous instructors and wonderfully supportive in teaching this absolute rookie a thing 'r two about how to stay alive on a two-wheeled ticket to cool. The course starts with a couple days in the classroom, learning the book smarts on safe riding strategies. The next two days get ya on that horse for some serious hours rolling through the range course on your very own Harley. They start you off getting used to the clutch/throttle synergy, power walking the bike a couple laps til you can get your feet on the pegs while staying upright. You cruise through curves, hard braking, u-turns (sigh), signaling and merging, and generally figuring out how to maneuver these beasts. There's no interaction in traffic; it's all completed in a large parking lot. So, expect to get the fundamentals of riding in preparation for real-world practice hours in the great big real world. What you take away from the class is heaps more confidence in your ability to actually do this thing, a tummy-fluttering enthusiasm to do it some more, and an MSF endorsement for your drivers license to get you street-legal to do it. The class provides the bike and helmet, but you bring your own gear otherwise--boots, gloves, sleeves, and long pants. There may be some low-pressure Harley-Davidson sales tactics mixed in a bit, but nothing any average, budget-minded folk can't get through with beer money intact. It really was less about the brand and more about responsible riding. I am SOOOOO glad my husband signed me up for this class, not withstanding my slight pee-pee-heartedness at being for once and for all ousted from the back of his bike. Can not WAIT to get into another parking lot... and perhaps onto a quiet backroad for some more practice!
