This is a review for the new store on San Pedro. I was excited to take a look at the new store and it's inventory but I must say I was deeply disappointed in the way me and my friend were treated. From the moment we walked in the door there was an Erie and uncomfortable tension / tone received from the staff. We were constantly being monitored and watched as if we were going to rob the place or there to commit some other crime. I'm giving the two stars to Trevor who really tried to help but my weapon was still stolen under their watch. I drove across town to utilize their shipping service which was recommended to me from a friend. I was shipping 4 long guns and my personal side arm. Something I was not aware of was that hand guns/pistols MUST be shipped overnight by law. My receipt shows a transaction of $415.59 on Feb 29, 2024. Backstory: I bought two large gun casses to get my weapons shipped, however I did not get TSA locks but I asked when I got there if they had them for sale and I was told "it's fine, we'll just use zip ties." DISCLAIMER: BMC Tactical were supposed to be ones that know the rules and how FFL transfers are supposed to happen because they are the FFL not me. They held the guns over the week end to ship on a Monday or Tuesday. When the weapon cases finally got to the destination my side arm was the only thing stolen. Another major problem was that BMC's shipping insurance for shipping weapons had lapsed so when I went thru the recovery process, there was ZERO INSURANCE! How does an FFL NOT HAVE INSURANCE? UPS only insured up to $100 for any items in their system it is the shippers job to provide the customer with insurance because the guns are inventoried and logged for FFL Regulations of shipping firearms. I will never see that weapon or any monies to get a new one. Say what you want but If someone that comes to you and is TOTALY IGNORANT about how weapon shipping laws and regulations are, that's why I went to BMC Tactical. Full disclosure, BMC did offer me $300 for my $700 weapon, but have yet to disburse the monies... my weapon was stollen the first week of March and the investigation has been over for months by both ABQ police department and the Florida police department. Bottom line is my personal side arm is now in "the world" doing who knows what to who knows who, but the loss was treated as "My" Problem not there's. I welcome BMC's response to this review because they stopped responding to my emails. I have pictures and all the receipts and police reports, and UPS claims department statement regarding this shipment. read more

I bought a sig sauer scope and had an issue with it. Called BMC Tactical to see if I could do an exchange or refund and they said no refunds or exchanges. All they had to say is call the manufacturer and see if they are willing to help you, even though I bought it from this store. The customer service is not the greatest so I would think twice before buying anything in this store. I will never do business in this store again. I called Sig Sauer and come to find out they aren't a dealer for them and you can order directly online with Sig Sauer and the customer service is great. I always try and buy local and support small businesses but in this case I can't and won't anymore. read more

Great place for anything firearm, tactical gear and even knives. Again, this is a small business establishment where I stopped in as a stranger and became friends with the staff because they treat their customers right. You won't find another shop in town with a comparable selection of firearms, especially now with everyone panic buying and unscrupulous (including big box chain stores) taking advantage of the current climate. If BMC doesn't have it, I don't want it, but more than likely they'll have something similar or the very model firearm I inquire about shortly afterwards. They listen to their customers and go out of their way to please. They also have super rare stuff you won't find elsewhere, so much so that they deal with other dealers and customers from out of state. "FEDEX IS HERE!" is a common announcement frequently heard when they show up with the spoils of the delivery being announced on Instagram the night before they put it on the shelves the next day. Pricing is also very reasonable considering the current environment of the firearms world. I'm a collector of Cold War and modern high end guns and BMC doesn't disappoint! Prices are around what you'd expect to pay (MSRP) or slightly below but good luck even finding them at Cabela's or Gunbroker without a hassle or stress of having them shipped. Cabela's and Big 5 wouldn't even touch the models BMC carries. They also stock the ammo for the firearms I mentioned-just be sure to follow them on Instagram for what they have and when. read more

Good place to get supplies. They have good assortment. Just not the most friendly or knowledgeable staff. A little too much machismo...other stores seemed more informative and helpful without the ego or being under intense scrutiny about bringing in gun which was salespersons idea. Of course, another store helped me to install hardware I bought from them. They appeared somewhat friendly at first but was wondering if storeowners purposefully created buying frenzy by saving all their stock to sell every Sat. which most had to wait in line for hours before store opened. Not the most intelligent staff but was able to get what I needed from them. I would only go back during normal business hours if it was asolutely necessary. Very nice selection of supplies and gear. Lots of staff to help you with any questions you may have. Very nice people here. I went in and purchased a gas block for my AR and they installed it for free. The really cool thing about them was that I asked if they'd install a quad rail that I had purchased somewhere else. Of course, I was expecting to pay something for that but they did it for me at no charge. We walked into the gun store in the back while I was getting my stuff installed and the guys there were really cool. They were willing to take out any firearms we asked about and educated us a little on them. Again, very nice people here, very professional, great selection and prices. That last review was so ridiculous I had to clear things up. Something tells me another competing shop owner had something to do with that. This shop has some incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. I have NEVER experienced any "scrutiny" from the salespersons for bringing in my guns and I have done it countless times. The guys at this shop really know their stuff and they won't waste your time trying to sell you things. They have gone above beyond to help me find what I'm looking for each and every time I've come in and always make themselves available to talk and let me ask questions. They've helped me better inform myself on the weapons I own and would like to own. As a woman, I felt these guys were very down to earth and friendly- no machismo in sight. There are lines sometimes on weekend mornings before they open, but that's because of what's happened to the gun market and their loyal customers are willing to wait to get their gear through BMC- instead of going to other gun shops that mark their prices way up on ammo they bought from walmart. These guys are honest. intelligent, fun, and helpful. It just doesn't get better than this. read more
