ABQ Guns does not have an enormous selection. It's a small place, but it has the basics and the prices are notably better than many other gun stores. The folks working here are pleasant and helpful and the shop's transfers are accomodating and reasonable - probably the gold standard of any local storefront. read more

Came in with a rifle that was giving me some trouble and other shops had not wanted to help me. The guys at abq guns not only gave it a shot, but fixed the issue and when I asked what I owed, the didn't end up charging me since it was a quick fix. read more

OK, So I went back and was treated well by the other employees in the store. I guess it's a "one bad apple" situation.

I give this place zero stars for customer service! As a first time store visitor, after hearing great things and reading great reviews about the Store, I thought I'd visit and had planned to have ordered/bought a rifle and a hang gun. But when I pulled up at 3:10 pm today, November 15, 2025. I was greeted by two employees outside who were more invested and worried about smoking their vapes then helping me out with making a purchase. As soon as I walked up to the front door, I felt the mood was off and then when I walked in, I could tell they really weren't interested in helping, so why give them my business! To all future buyers I hope you have a better experience, but I will not be returning! Only thing that made it ok, was the guy with the dodge truck gave me a jump after my car wouldn't start.....I appreciate him and the older lady for the cables.... read more

New to the area. Needed a minor Glock 26 front night sight fix. Arnie promptly gunsmithed the issue and returned the pistol to me as I stood there. No charge. Other staff cheerfully answered some unrelated questions, as well as showing me a new pistol that might be of interest to my wife. We'll be back! read more

Honestly one of the friendliest and most helpful shops I have ever been in. I don't know a lot about guns/rifles and everyone I talked to in the shop was super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciate it. Thank you read more

Every time I visit the store Arnie and his staff are always professional and knowledgeable. Anytime I have questions I trust that I can call Arnie or stop by to get all my questions answered. Thanks for being in business ABQ Guns and look forward to purchasing more products from you. read more

My first time transferring a rifle on an online purchase. I received a call less than 2 hours after my item was delivered. Kelly kindly called and was extremely friendly. Answered all my questions and let me know that my rifle will be ready as soon as they complete the required background check. I stopped by and staff were so helpful. Home of $15 (cash) transfer fee. They saved me so much time, at a big box store you will pay more and have to wait hours to get your gun. Thank you ABQ Gun for supper fast and friendly service. read more

Awesome place very knowledgeable and helpful great selection and they help you out if you are new not rude like some other places in town

These people gave me what I consider to be a very fair price for my unfired, Ruger, 30-06, bolt action rifle. The place "up the street," I felt, was the opposite. I felt they gave me a bad deal on two items I sold them; my own fault. The next time I want to buy or sell, I am going to ABQ Guns. The woman owner was very nice and sociable. The price fair. The atmosphere friendly. read more

Hands down best gun store in ABQ. I've been to almost every one and Arnie and Mrs B have been awesome and friendly every time. You go in a gun store and most of the time most people treat you like you should know that, we'll I don't but I learn pretty quick. Thank you Arnie and Mrs B for all your help and being very friendly. read more

I sent a firearm to a customer and they never received a call when the shop received firearm. I got a call 2 weeks after shipping from customer asking if I ever sent it. Last time I will be using them. read more

This was a small shop, and they were unable to meet my needs, but they referred me to another dealership that better suited my needs. I have no complaints. Just not a good fit for what I needed. read more

I did an online order this week from ABQ guns. When I got a call to schedule my pick up. They caught an error in my order. Informed me fully upfront. I appreciate that so much. My real order was much less than what I had processed online. Upon pick up I was refunded the difference. I truly appreciate the honesty and help. I will be a customer for life! Thank you ABQ guns. read more

Recently became a first time gun owner and used ABQ Guns for my gun transfer. When I arrived, I was helped immediately and was walked through the process of purchasing my gun. After this, Ray took time to show me everything I needed to know about the gun and referred me to someone that teaches gun safety. Over the next few weeks I searched for ammo around Albuquerque and Rio Rancho and couldn't find any. Every OTHER gun store I went to, I felt disrespected and unvalued by staff. Having no knowledge of guns or ammo, I was hoping to find a place that welcomes new gun owners and was willing to engage and teach customers. Abq Guns does just that. Ray at Abq Guns has always been helpful and respectful to me and I appreciate that. Will not waste my time with other gun stores. Abq Guns will have my business for years to come. read more

I chose this gun shop because it was owned by a woman, veteran, you Go Girl!! Belinda came to me to look at the guns I needed to sell, she came to me! How cool! She is one of those very rare people who share their heart and soul with you. I needed just that kind of generous person!! There are no words to say how grateful I am She even came out to my Dad and I, and helped us with her notary skills! As for the guns, I was very happy with the way the guns were inspected and appraised, rigid professionalism! Love it! The price I received was very fair! Thank you so much for all your kindness, and your generous hearts! read more

The two employees were rude! Accidentally didn't hear one offering to help me and the second employee got mad at me nearly telling me off because I didn't acknowledge the first one trying to help me, talking to me like if I was a little kid and If I didn't know what I was doing.Every time I asked something they answered it rude or didn't answer at all other then that they have a nice selection of firearms and the owner is nice read more

If you want to find a place to buy a gun, find a place to get insurance for carrying concealed, and be trained and licensed for concealed carrying this is the best place in all Albquequer. read more

Definitely one of the best gun shops in town! Very helpful and nice. Will buy from them again

Found the gun I wanted, didn't purchase because sales person ( short white guy) was a little condescending. Sure is hard to find good customer service nowadays. read more

Arnie and Belinda run a nice friendly, but tight ship. This place will appeal to the serious gun owner or the newly acquainted to gun ownership. Along with cleanliness and an all around welcoming shop, there are offers for classes, personal instruction and plenty of information available. FFL transfers from other sites, shops are efficient and not overly expensive. Most importantly, this is a places that welcomes and informs women on the proper handgun/rifle and the ongoing instruction of how to operate and care for the purchase. Self defense for women is an imperative and firearm training is an integral part of this imperative. Women should feel welcome here and that unfortunately does not translate to all firearm stores and gun shops that I have been in. I have no hesitation to coming in this store with my wife and daughter. Thanks ABQ Guns read more

A place where everybody knows your name thats what i feel when i walk into ABQ Guns the owner his wife employees and family make you feel welcome and they will talk to you and ask "hows the family!", and give you a great experience everytime you walk in. They always shake your hand and will carry conversation with you and give you tips on the firearms and even daily life! If this was a TV show i'd watch it all the time! Thank you ABQ guns! thank you for the customer service and being a friend everytime i walk in! read more

Great experience buying a gun and other items for personal protection. As a single female I appreciate that nobody made me feel stupid or rushed about what I should get. All my questions were answered and I was able to walk out the same day with my purchase and have lessons set up for a concealed weapon permit. Thank you so much for helping me feel safer. read more

Arnie and all of the other employees are extremely helpful, courteous, and honest people out of the many shops I have been to. Their prices are pretty good, but fall second to their vast amount of knowledge. If I run into any problems, they are only a phone call away and quick to help or give recommendations. Their FFL fees are very reasonable. This is the only gun shop I will go to too purchase items and get advice! read more

Great Experience Just brought my Second firearm from AbqGun. As always it was great buying from Arnie and Belinda

I chose ABQ Guns after deciding to buy my first gun, and I couldn't be more impressed with the staff there. After doing my own research and deciding on a gun for myself, I went there to talk to the employees to make sure I had made the best decision for myself. As a woman, I've also historically been a little intimidated by most gun shops. I figured ABQ Guns might be a good fit because they are women owned, and I will say that nobody ever talked down to me or patronized me. They also didn't encourage me to get something more expensive than I needed and helped me pick out everything I would need to take proper care of the weapon I bought. I happily ordered a PMR-30 which arrived this week. I'm absolutely recommending this place to everyone I know and will definitely be back when I make my next purchase. read more

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Purchased a Sig 938 BRG in here. They recommended a C&C class. Very clean place, good people. This is my go to Gun Store in Albuquerque. read more

I went in to have a 105 year rifle appraised. The gentleman did extensive research. Veey impressive. Thank you!

A good gun store is a joy. Develop a relationship with a good gun store you can trust and happiness flows. A bad store flows headaches. I am a collector/hunter. Tried to purchase a Thompson 1927M1. Prior to ordering I was assured that the 50 round drum would fit. Also heard the phone call where the supplier confirmed the drum would fit. Hours later I discovered in an online download of the manual that the 50 round drum will not fit. I contacted the store immediately so they could stop the order. I was told the owner would call me right back. All attempts at contact with owner failed. Promised return calls never happened. I am disabled veteran and I ended up in UNM hospital the next day so I could not go physically to the store but I kept my phone with me every minute. Finally had to give up and dispute the charge on my card. Store knew right up front I wanted a gun that would use the 50 round drum and the 30 round sticks. I also told them I would like to order a model that fit this criteria. Finally did get the owner on the phone to have him treat me very rudely about not wanting a gun I had special-ordered. No apology for repeatedly giving false information. No apology for phone calls never returned. No offer to to order a different model as I had requested beginning with the very first call when I first found out the information I had been given was absolutely wrong. Owner was very rude and honestly, customer service only seemed to occur at and on the way to the cash register. Owner's anger and rude ending of the call lost him a $1500 sale because I still wanted to buy a model that fit my criteria. I was even going to offer to split the cost of return shipping on the wrong model. I always try to support small local gun stores. There are a lot of gun stores in Albuquerque area. Find one that appreciates your business and not one that acts like they're doing you a favor to take your money. read more

Arnie has always been fair in pricing and knowledgeable about all things relating to guns. My son was in from DC and bought a trigger for an AR and took it back home and he just raves about it. I have bought a couple of CCWs and a M1A from him at extremely fair and competitive prices. If he doesn't have it n stock, he will try to get it for you. My M1A was not in stock, but I had it in three days. Very good place to shop for guns and accessories with good pricing. read more

For my money, the best gun shop in the city. They have handled a number of transfers/shipments for me - always fast and flawless. I have been in there when Arnie is counseling a new-be on selecting a firearm for personal carry. Very informative, understandable and patient. No hard sell here. Recommended wholeheartedly. read more

Arnie and Belinda are great people and run a great personable business. I've had two firearms transferred through them and am in the process of buying parts for my AR build. They are always easy to talk to and give you the attention you deserve even if your just browsing. As an active duty military gun lover I've purchased guns from several different shops all over the country. What the business lack in square footage they make up for in personality and quality of parts and service. I drive 20 minutes out of my way just to do business with these two. read more

An amazing shop. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It is true that if you walk in, you will leave as a friend. Their pricing is fair and they provide discounts to Vets and LEO. The can perform some repairs in store and will help you ship your weapon if the manufacture is the only authorized repair facility. They can help you build a custom weapon to fit your needs. They can research parts for you, order the parts if he doesn't have it in stock. They are the only store that does carry parts for upgrading or replacement on several types of weapons. They can help you fit a handgun for personal protection and recommend Concealed Carry courses that will build your confidence. Arnie, Belinda, and Sean are amazing people and make and awesome team. All I can say is check them out. read more

Great store, great prices! I stopped in on a whim and ended up walking out with a great gun. I also received a call back from Arnie on and offer I left, and I hope I will complete my second transaction with ABQ Guns. And hopefully many more! See these guys first! read more
