Alma L.

It's good, the green beans were really good though but everything was alright. Just came here after work, the service was great though!! I'll come back for that! Very sweet older women.

Small portions and under seasoned underwhelming food. The egg rolls were just fried greasy wraps with nothing in them. Small portions and overpriced. Go elsewhere.

Big dead fly!
Lisha K.

We found a big dead fly in our takeout. When I called the restaurant to let them know, they were unapologetic and told me to bring the food back. I offered to send a photo instead, but they said they didn't have a phone (really?). They put me on hold to check with the kitchen, and when they came back, they told me the screen door was closed and there were no flies--implying, I guess, that I was lying? They offered to refund just the fried rice the fly was in, but I wasn't comfortable eating anything else from the order. After going back and forth, they eventually said they'd refund the entire meal, then abruptly hung up, saying they didn't want to talk about it anymore. I had a feeling they wouldn't actually process the refund--so I packed up the uneaten food and returned to the restaurant. Sure enough, they hadn't done it. Still no apology. They took the food to the back again and repeated that there were no flies in the kitchen. I guess they were all in the food. This review could've been very different if they had handled the situation with basic courtesy and accountability. Just say "I'm sorry." It's really not that hard.

Kung pao chicken with rice

My sister and I had a late dinner here. It's a nice neighborhood on Solano Ave with lots of restaurant choices. I had kung Pao chicken and she had lemon chicken. Really nice! What you would expect from a traditional Chinese restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and we were happy with the service. Very nice background music of Strauss waltzes and then some Chopin piano.

Heading here during Lunar New Year maybe not the best idea, but also so refreshing to see China…read moreVillage full of such a great crowd. This is hands down one of my favorite spots to grab Chinese food on Solano Ave. and in the area. They also now have some special dim sum items if it's been a minute since the last time you've dined here! Did I mention also a full bar? That was a pleasant surprise! China Village was the first meal I had delivered after I came home post-birth, so it will forever have a special place in my heart :) Favorite items? Pork bao buns, Sesame Chicken Breast (always), Homemade Chowmein with any protein, and there's a dish that I've been thinking about since we've ordered it..Shredded Pork Sautéed with Dry Bean Curd. Delicious! The fried rice, the soup(s), the potstickers..there's not one item here I haven't enjoyed. This is a big restaurant and service is fast, or at least what we've experienced. Would love to actually try the Chicken Breast with Honey Glazed Walnuts, the Cauliflower with Shredded Pork, and more from the dim sum menu. Fair pricing. Metered parking on Solano, but may take a few additional minutes to secure.

Upon arrival, a substantial queue had formed, and we joined the line to await our turn. Several individuals approached the front desk, informing the staff that they had pre-arranged orders and inquiring about the expected wait time. However, they were met with an unresponsive stare, prompting many to leave. After an hour and a half, we finally received our food, which unfortunately very cold. The person at the front was rude and unresponsive. We will not be going back and do not recommend this place

We are the only customer when we arrived. Very pleasant not overpowering jazz mood music plays. Our server has a very pleasant demeanor. We have Taiwan beef noodle soup. Nice and hot the way it should be. Perfect to my tongue textures of the beef cubes and egg noodles. The beef broth was amazing. At the end of our meal I was full. Too full to the point that I almost cried that I couldn't drink the last gulps but it was too small a portion to warrant taking home. Our Kung Pao chicken? Delicious. Chock full of chicken bites and delicious vegetables. Somehow the plentiful peanuts set my taste buds acraving. Wow wow Pao tasty. The only miss with this was that it was brought to us on a coldish serving plate. A common mistake. We didn't get to try this dish hot. We are now wanting our bill. Seems like long time wanting. To our dismay, our friendly server got herself enmeshed in an on again off again conversation with someone at another table shortly after we arrived. Then she disappeared for a while. We are tempted to guess the bill amount (turns out we guessed wrong by $1), leave cash on the table and walk out. Instead I get up and she appears at the register. Magic. We pay proper like and walk out respectfully. I wouldn't mind coming back.

Never coming back no matter how close you are to my house. To the Host that was so rude to me today. If you hate answering people question's about wait, maybe it's time you consider a retirement and give your job to someone who can talk and answer customers questions politely without judgement. I don't know what issues you have with life...All I asked for was wait time before I put myself on your waitlist and not the number of table ahead of me as you rudely point to your board and rolled your eyes at me. Your rude answer and eyerolling answers is unacceptable and I will take my business else where. There are Plenti of places to eat at. Eat here if you enjoy rudeness from this man.
