I've now had to disassemble the transmission valve body and found broken internal parts and serious contamination -- all consistent with using the wrong fluid. This is not just poor service -- it's negligence. Transmission fluid is not optional -- using the wrong one can destroy a gearbox, and that's exactly what happened. If you care about your car, avoid this shop at all costs. They don't listen to customers, they don't follow manufacturer specifications, and now I'm stuck with a major repair that could've been easily avoided.

Just be prepared to wait for some time for the repair but the quality and price cannot be beat. My love affair with manual transmission cars is not worth the cost of upkeep but thank G-d that Brad is there to fix older cars, so my passion survives. I needed a new reverse clutch fork on a manual Subaru which requires taking apart the entire transmission to get at the fork. You have to be real experienced to do that. Not just a new clutch kit. Go there and you will not be disappointed.

My advice...save money in the long run (especially with the tariffs currently being imposed world wide) and get your transmission repaired. You can save the extra money for a rainy day or for other things. My 2012 Kia Sorento has over 211,000 miles on it and the transmission finally wore out. The gears were slipping and there was no power when I stepped down on the pedal. I called around to two other local shops before calling Arminco. Both places were WAY more expensive than Arminco and said they would need more time to repair my car (one shop said they needed a month and the other shop said that they needed a week and a half to rebuild the transmission). When I called Arminco and spoke to Serj, his price was more fair and his estimated time was shorter (he said he would have my car back to me in a week). After reading all of the positive reviews online I decided to have Arminco do repair the repair on my transmission. When I arrived at Arminco Serj took my car on a test drive while he explained what was happening with my gears. Serj explained that he works on a lot of Mercedes and BMW vehicles. After dropping my car off it was ready in 4 days instead of a week. Raymond also informed me that my axel needed to be replaced. When I picked up my car it ran perfectly! Serj provides a warranty for the first 12,000 miles or 1 year (whichever comes first). Thank you Arminco for repairing my Sorento so quickly; it feels great to be back on the road!
