From the fresh fruit tarts, breads baked daily, chocolate and almond croissants, coffees & lattes to the BEST, most mouthwatering Quicke Lorraine anywhere, this is a MUST if you're in the area (or drive 75 miles down for it as I do). And for a traditional French bakery, the prices are very good. There are neverending pastries, and you can watch the French family baker take them from the oven. You will not find more flakey layers ANYWHERE! Always busy & always filled w/ French accents, you will NOT leave unsatisfied. You can pick your wants & pay for them at the busy counter (yes, busy!) or sit for breakfast & allow your server to add them to your order. You'll be rung up @ your table. There is enough parking in the paved lot and there are outside tables should you bring a canine. Every item you eat here will be INCREDIBLE. Great food. Quality is superb. We recommend the chicken curry croissant. I had a quiche with sun dried tomatoes, chevre cheese and nutmeg. Very filling. Try their French onion soup too. Different from the usual beef broth based soup. The croutons top it off nicely. You can bring your dog to share in the fun. read more

Small whole in the wall bakery. Great for breakfast, coffees and delicious french pastries. Although nothing beats a freshly baked croissant and cafe au lait in a boulangerie outside the Parisian streets ( my wife always talks about going back to Paris) but until then this place is pretty fantastic. It is small not too many items on the menu. The selection of food and pastries are done to perfection. If you want some delicious tasty french pastries or breakfast you have to make your way here. We wanted to try this French bakery/cafe for lunch and we loved most of what we ordered. The Ham and Brie was recommended and it was exceptionally good. The bouchée was disappointing-- doughy, mushy and the filling was nondescript. The sacristain was so good! So, so glad I stumbled across this place. Very quaint atmosphere with what seemed to be a ton of regulars (always a good sign). I was pleasantly greeted as soon as I walked in the door and seated at a table right away. Everything on the menu looked amazing so I did what I always do and asked the server for her 2 favorite dishes. She wholeheartedly recommended the Salmon Omelet and raved about the quality of their salmon. But her absolute favorite dish was Le Croque Madame... toasted ham, swiss cheese topped with bechamel sauce and a sunny side egg. Since I could not decide between the two, I decided to get both... sort of. I added a side of the smoked salmon on to my order for Le Croque Madame... PERFECT COMBO!!! Loved every single bite... also loved their Eiffel Tower topped Cappuccino (see attached photo) And what do you get after an amazing breakfast like this one... pastries for all your friends. Had my server pick out her 6 favorites and package them up for me to bring to some clients I was seeing later that day. Wonderful little French bakery+ Cafe, another one that I wish was closer to St Pete. If you love croissant, baguettes, eclairs.... Don't look anywhere else. From stepping into the cafe, we were greeted with a smile and instantly assigned a seat. The menu was perfect for 9am breakfast, so we had easy choices to make. We already had a feeling that no matter what we pick, it's going to be good. The menu ingredients are in English but there's also a description in French under each item. As usual I started off with a double shot espresso with an order of croissant and chocolate croissant. Croissant was pretty big and perfect. We got a side of butter with it and they were a natural pair with the espresso. I got the nordique baguette after that, yes a lot of food, why not??? :) It looked pretty good in one of the Yelp pictures (thank you!) And it was also recommended by our waitress. It was pretty big, filling and just food. Smoked salmon melted in the mouth while the baguette with cream cheese complemented the salmon. What else? This bakery/Cafe is located at 5336 Clark Road in Sarasota, a little West of I-75 on the South side of the road. It is an Oasis in a world of bland baked products. Prices are understandably high though not as high as Expected. This is arefreshing getaway from Supermarket baked goods. We love this place. Every time we are up in Sarasota we stop by to pick up some croissants. But don't come too late. They sometimes sell out by 3ish. But there are plenty of other goodies to choose from otherwise. Get a few extra 'sants, they freeze well. Just reheat at 300 for 10-15 minutes. read more

While on vacation this store's name caught my eye. Looking for a great coffee I suggested we get up early the next morning and check it out for breakfast. I'm so glad we did! Right from the start of our visit when the lovely waitress greeted us with a "Good Morning" tinted with a French accent I knew we were in for a treat. I had a latte and an almond croissant that was the size of a small football. It was delicious!!! Flaky, sweet and filled with a delightful almond paste. My husband had an omelette, bowl of fruit, slices of a fresh baguette and a latte. He was just as pleased as I was with his breakfast. What made it even more enjoyable was the French radio station streaming overhead with the waitress singing along and the smell of freshly baked bread hanging in the air. We had to take a piece of this back to our family so we ordered some pastries and Pain d'epi to take out. Despite being in the midst of this COVID pandemic and having to wear masks around people, this was probably the best moment of my entire vacation! This place is very very very authentic! I heard employees talking another language, which I believe was french, and it was like an extra note to it, since I haven't met too many frenchmen before! Anyways, coffee was great and I tried Le Nordique, which was OUTSTANDING! It was made on freshly baked baguette that a guy made right in front of me in the huge oven and it was so crispy and fresh! Salmon very fresh too no doubt! If it was me I would add a cucumber tho, just think they pair well together:) As long as it is a bakery, I had to get a croissant and it was great too. Amazing service is a cherry on top, love this place! The only drawback is the exhaust system, my clothes had this cooking smell for a while after we left. Friendly service and fast made. I didn't eat there - but there was lots of space and clean area. I ordered a French baguette that came with ham, butter, & French Brie. It was pretty good but I wish I had ordered it with no butter since the Brie was pretty creamy. Nonetheless - the sandwich bread is pretty good and almost like I'm in France! I asked about sides and the only options was a side salad or fruit. I wish there were other sides. Other than that, I'll definitely be back to try other pastries. They looked delicious. With a wide selection of fresh, in-house made French meals to pastries and cakes, there will always be more to come back to. The service was great, with kind servers. Matheo served me today and he made sure I had an excellent experience during my breakfast. It is a quaint little spot, but still offers enough seating to house many customers.
