I didn't really get my coffee refilled so I'm not sure if that's all you get, but it was still a lovely coffee and I enjoyed dining here. They also have a really lovely outdoor patio that we finally got a moment to visit. I would have come for the patio alone, it was so lovely and everything I needed on a warm summer afternoon. Sometimes it took awhile for our server to come out and check on us, but we had the time so it didn't really matter. He was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu.

Our table started off with some juices and coffee - I decided on the grapefruit juice, but I really wish I had tried the orange juice because it was definitely freshly squeeze and I was told that it was so sweet and delicious! The grapefruit juice was good too, but I forgotten how bitter grapefruit can be :,) for my entrée I got the eggs Benedict with a side of potatoes, and this was cooked to perfection. The eggs Benedict still had that runny yolk with a savory hollandaise sauce while the potatoes were one of best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The flavor was Herby and potato was firm enough to still have that crispy exterior but soft enough that I could break the potato in half with my fork. Another thing I have to brave about this restaurant was the service. Our waiter was so kind and funny and he was always coming back to attend to us and make sure that we had everything we needed. I came in with a group of 6 and other members of our group had the ricotta pancakes, the Ratatouille Eggs Benedict and everyone enjoyed their brunch. It's a pretty small space almost like a cross between a diner and a bistro, elevated casual I guess. Service is brisk and the servers are friendly. I opted for the beef tartare, which was less traditional in its preparation, lacking cornichons and/or capers, and having a fancy smoked egg yolk piped on top. The salmon was perfectly pan seared and the beef tartare was good as well, though I wish there was a bit more bread to use to scoop up the beef. Overall, the food was good. Our server was awesome - super friendly but also very efficient. He was overseeing a number of tables, but we always felt we were checked in on, our wine was always topped up, and we were never without water. Easily the best service we received in Montreal. Overall, this place was great and our mouths were watering as they were bringing out the dishes for other tables. That being said, we made the short walk from our room to start the day. Maison Boulud is one of several restaurants by chef Daniel Boulud. In addition to this location in Montréal, I believe there's another one in Singapore. The restaurant conveniently has an entrance off the lobby, though it also has its own dedicated entrance on the street. The interior was mostly empty when we arrived, mainly because it was a lovely day and most patrons (including us) opted to sit in their outdoor area. The decor is top tier - high end finishes with interesting art and pops of color throughout. The outdoor area was semi-enclosed with lovely views of foliage and a small pond with ducks swimming...aww! For breakfast, they offered the option of a la carte or their buffet. We opted for the latter, which was quite abundant. There was a great selection of traditional breakfast offerings like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, and fruit. They also had some interesting pastries and breads, plus an omelette station. Everything I tried was delicious. Service was great, we were taken care of promptly and despite it being self-service, we never felt ignored. Overall, I had a great experience at Maison Boulud. I don't think I got the quintessential experience as I was only here for breakfast, but I would definitely return for another meal.
